Our romantic windmill (1874) is just a few miles from Amsterdam in wide green fields and along a meandering river: "Gein". Easy access to the A'dam. by car, train or by bike. You have the entire windmill to yourself. Three floors, 3 bedrooms with double beds: it easily sleeps 6, a kitchen, living, 2 toilets and a bathroom with bath/shower. Bikes available + kayak. Just leave some extra money if you did use them. No need to reserve ahead. Great swimming water and small landing just in front.

Our vacation home is 2 km from the beach and dunes. The first bulb fields can be found directly at the park (season April- April-early May, depending on the weather). The Keukenhof is 5 km away. 100 meters away is the Oosterduinse Meer, where you can relax and eat at one of the nice restaurants. It is located at Sollasi recreation park with both vacation and permanent residents. Places like Amsterdam, Haarlem, Delft, The Hague and Leiden can be reached within 15-30 minutes by car.

The centrally located Smithy is a wonderful place to hang out with your friends, family, and colleagues all year round. During the winter, have a drink by the fireplace in the spacious living room. During the summer, enjoy a BBQ in the sun-drenched garden, looking over the water. Cook together in the bright kitchen, and enjoy a delicious meal at the dinner table. The location of the historic barracks, The Ripperda, is not only beautiful but also wonderfully central.

Dishwasher. Kettle. Oven. Air fryer. 2-burner induction cooker. Nespresso coffee machine. Nice beds and pleasant (rain) shower Sink with storage drawers. PLEASE NOTE! The upper floor/sleeping area has no stair gate and we recommend not letting small children stay here.

Parking is included. Enjoy peace and space in this special green place on the water, on the outskirts of downtown. Of all the comforts: air conditioning, free Wi-Fi. A Nespresso machine for delicious coffee. The Vroesenpark is across the street, Diergaarde Blijdorp is a 10-minute walk away, as well as metro Blijdorp (800m). Close to the city center and exit roads. On a hot day, take a refreshing dip in the canal, or hop into the canoes that are ready for you.
