Holiday rentals with a fireplace in North Topsail Beach

One of the best Airbnb’s I have stayed at. The close proximity to the beach and having a pool at the house was very ideal for our large group. The communication with Mike and Makeba was top notch!

We are so very thankful to have been at Jenn and Ian’s home during our military move and house hunting. We experienced no less than absolute kindness and consideration, and all aspects of our stay were such a respite! We have a large family and pets, and each of us was not only comfortable and easily accommodated in the house layout, but also found plenty to do to occupy our downtime. The kitchen was well stocked, everyday supplies were readily available in ample provisions, and communication with the hosts was seamless and always a pleasure. We would not only highly recommend this home to other guests; we would be more than happy to stay again!

Chad was responsive from the moment we booked his beautiful home until the moment we checked out. He has thought of everything to make the stay a restful experience. He was proactive in ensuring we had everything we needed throughout the stay. The home is down a quiet street near beautiful beaches and has access to the river which we enjoyed kayaking on. We had a great stay and look forward to booking Chad’s place in the future.

The design is absolutely stunning—every detail has been thoughtfully curated to create a space that’s not only beautiful but incredibly comfortable and functional. It felt like walking into a magazine spread, yet it was warm and inviting at the same time. The restoration of the home has won awards and now we understand why. What truly set this stay apart, though, was the hosts. We had the pleasure of meeting Paula and Chan while we enjoyed our coffee on the porch swings. They went above and beyond in every way—welcoming us with such kindness. You can tell they genuinely care about their guests’ experience. The location was perfect to walk to any restaurant or coffee shop. The neighborhood surrounding the home has countless historical homes. It’s rare to find a place that feels both luxurious and like home. I couldn’t recommend this Airbnb more and would return in a heartbeat. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

The beach house was a wonderful place to stay for my family. It’s in a quiet area and is a quick walk to the beach. The house was clean and the kitchen was great for cooking. We enjoyed our stay and had no issues.

My family and I enjoyed staying at the Relaxing Retreat. It was very nice, relaxing and quiet. The beds were comfortable. It was in a great location, close to restaurants, stores and Camp Lejeune Wilson Gate. I will stay here again when visiting Jacksonville.

Had a wonderful stay! Melissa was incredibly friendly and made check-in super easy. The location was perfect—just a short drive to the beach and close to great restaurants and shops. The space was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. I stayed in the airbnb for a little under a month and it was incredible!

We visited Wilmington for a concert at Live Oak Bank Pavilion. We enjoyed the restaurants and shops close by. Loved the view. Slept comfortably in the king bed. We would definitely stay here again. Oh, and the host is very responsive and helpful.

First time with Bruce, as my usual go to was booked. Turns out it was a blessing. I love Bruce's home; it was clean, welcoming and tastefully furnished. Communication with Bruce was outstanding, he was very responsive to questions and easily available. Bruce's unit will definitely be saved as a favorite and I would very highly recommend him. To summarize, we were absolutely delighted and try felt at home. Bruce, thank you!

Surf Shack an incredible place great location, super clean, intimate fun space but best of all 110% beach vibe from lovely outdoor porch to great indoor space. Sam and Cherie best hosts ever and I have done alot of airbnb's!!

I would definitely recommend this provider. The facilities were phenomenal, well worth the price, comfortable, beautifully decorated and provided for. John was extremely easy to work with and very personable. I cannot recommend these accommodations highly enough. if I come back to the area, I will definitely look John up again!

We booked for a weekend trip to explore Wilmington and have a get away! Our trip was great as the airbnb was conveniently minutes to downtown, Ubers were easy to book. We plan on staying here yearly! It’s so nice to find great hosts who were very accommodating and responsive.

Was there for work on Camp Lejeune. Great location, close to base. Would highly recommend staying here if in the area. Brianna is very responsive and proactive in communicating. Would stay here again if available on future projects.

We stayed one week at the Jewel of the Waterway. The views were amazing. There are huge windows in the main living areas to enjoy views of the water. Lots of cozy places to sit outside both on and off of the porches. The pool was super fun for the kids! There are kayaks for use which was great but do not try to launch them at low tide! Swimming in the waterway isn’t possible, which is outlined in the home guide. Things to note - while there are 3 bathrooms, realistically there is 1 shower. On the main level one bathroom has a walk-in shower (this bathroom doesn’t have a door besides the bedroom door) and the other just has a large soaking tub. The bathroom in the basement does have a shower but it’s tiny and kind of dark and scary. We booked this home largely because of accessibility and the fact that it has less stairs than most waterfront homes in the area. You do have to access the home up a few steps and the pool down a half flight of stairs. The pool is viewable from the sunroom.

John and his co-hosts were amazing! Immediately upon arrival we were welcomed as family. They really went above and beyond in every aspect. The place was cleaned to perfection and there was so much to do! We were able to schedule an animal tour the same day, grill outside using their supplies and really relax as much as possible. Our room featured a private balcony and bathroom, but really the entire property should be highlighted. The hosts recommended beaches and restaurants for us to enjoy, and as we were checking out, John let us know that he was preparing breakfast for us as well! We were able to leave this amazing place with a full belly, homegrown fruits and veggies, eggs, and great memories. We will be back to visit for sure. Thanks again John B., John M, and Diana.

Words can’t express how much I enjoyed staying at John’s place. It was an amazing experience we will NEVER forget. It was by far my favorite bnb and I’ve stayed at a couple of Airbnbs. It’s close to the beach but it didn’t really matter because we wanted to spend all our time on his property. It was clean and there’s a ton of rooms in the villa! It is decorated so nice and the exotic animal farm he has is amazing! We stayed during the 4th of July and he had food waiting for us in their beautiful outside kitchen when we got back! You won’t want to leave the property. The pool was great and the rooms and bathrooms are so clean! I can’t wait to stay at their place again! I loved every second and they were all extremely responsive. They had fresh eggs and tomatoes that I brought home. Book your stay! You won’t regret it.

I decided last minute that I needed a getaway with some relaxation and an stress-free time. John’s place popped up to the top of the results list. I had never booked anything where you shared space but I decided to give it a try because of the good reviews and the fact that my husband’s name was John. I just felt like it was ok and safe. I’m glad I decided to try it. Both John’s and Diana were super sweet and so helpful.The house is beautiful.The rooms have top of the line bedding and beautiful decor. The kitchen was stocked with some food and John cooked several times for people. I’ve never had that at a place before so that was so helpful on saving some money with eating out. Plus they had garden tomatoes so I enjoyed like 10 tomato sandwiches.The animal tour was so cool. It was amazing to me to see how many animals , especially birds. It was really impressive; feeding the lemurs lollipops & holding the baby wallaby, Casper, was really cool.i highly recommend!! I will be back. Thanks

Honestly an amazing experience, even when you see the price you get the experience to match, in the best of ways. An amazing room with a fantastic shower and John was extremely friendly the entire time! There was a great welcome book with clear instructions. we had a great breakfast with farm fresh eggs provided by the host. The animals were beautiful and we loved the tour that was included.
