I cannot begin to explain how lovely Linda’s place is. The house is adorable. Everything was spotlessly clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to make meals. We spent so much time in the back garden. It’s a tranquil paradise. Very dog friendly with the yard being fenced all the way around. Linda is an amazing host. Very responsive if you have any questions or concerns. We truly enjoyed our stay and will consider coming back. Thank you, Linda.

Jacque was a very accommodating host. She was very responsive to any questions posed. Her property is amazingly beautiful and we had complete privacy. The views were magnificent and the area has tons of history. I would definitely return here.

Great accommodation to explore the redwood national parks! Several beautiful landscapes close by. The house is also quite cosy, pretty clean and spacious. Especially liked the typically American patio, where you can greatly relax once you are back from your trips.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful home – it honestly felt like stepping into the pages of an interior design magazine. Every detail has been so thoughtfully curated – stylish yet warm, aesthetic yet completely functional. It made our (far too short!) visit incredibly comfortable and easy. Communication with Gerrit was excellent – kind, helpful, and responsive throughout. The house is located in a quiet, refined neighborhood, and stores are just a short drive away. It’s also a perfect base for visiting Sequoia National Park – the morning drive to the park entrance is pleasantly manageable. One of our favorite features was the lovely garden seating area, complete with an apricot tree that surprised us with its sweet fruit. A truly special place – peaceful, charming, and full of care. We would absolutely love to return.

Thanks so much, Liz This place was by far the best airbnb that I have ever stayed in, and we didn't even use the upstairs. The amenities provided afforded us a more than comfortable stay. The only thing I could have wished for was some kind of cable or tv programing, but wifi was a plus. Our host supplied us with farm fresh eggs, coffee and teas, bag of ice, basic cooking essentials like flour, sugar, butter, oil, and spices, along with a varied supply of cookware, and beautiful dishes and glassware. The back yard was equipped with patio tables, chairs, barbeque, and fire pit. As far as location, Shingletown is fantastically cool, 20 degrees cooler, compared to Redding, and the home is clean and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. I have stayed there before, and I would again, whenever I can. You cannot go wrong with this place. Enjoy, Pat Reeves

They were so responsive and friendly! We left our car door open one night and they let us know! Very thoughtful and looked out for their guests. We had a few questions and requests and they met them quickly! Wonderful!

We loved our stay here! House was charming, and in a beautiful location. Amenities were fantastic and exactly as advertised.

Top Story is top-notch. Really well equipped kitchen with thoughtful extras like a Keurig coffee machine and pods and compostable plastic ziplocks for your picnic lunches. Comfortable beds. Fine wi-fi. Well-stocked bathroom (although the shower is a bit small). Nice design sense. The little touches like home-made baked goods and a welcome basket are definitely a plus. Wendy was both very pleasant and responsive. Would definitely chose Top Story for a Loyalton stay.

We had a great one night stay at Thyra’s place. It was cool to be able to walk to a waterfall that was barely half a mile away. The place is very cozy, clean, and had everything we needed.

Barbara was one of the best hosts, if not the best, that I have encountered over my many years of travel. She was responsive to messages and was just so polite and friendly with recommendations and tips for navigating San Francisco. The little touches of snacks and special drinks were really appreciated. The room decorations with the wine histories / business books and mid-century furniture and lighting made for a wonderful space to relax in. The bed was very comfortable.

If I could rate the host and this Airbnb higher I would! We spent our one year anniversary in Yosemite and unfortunately had a terrible stay at another Airbnb and I booked here. How much I deeply regret not seeing this Airbnb in the first place. The home is gorgeous and the host was by far the best I’ve had. They had left wine, breakfast and some snacks for us which I wasn’t expecting. The whole checking process to checkout was so easy! The biggest pro to this Airbnb is the WiFi, being in Yosemite WiFi is not very reliable however staying here, we had 0 issues plus the TV worked off the WiFi too. We spent a lovely night watching Netflix and in a comfortable bed! Highly recommend checking this place out for your next Yosemite vacation :)

Michael was an excellent host. His instructions for entry were very detailed and his note about the small parking space led us to rent a small car. His place was well appointed, centrally located & had great views. We will be back.

The Treehouse was a beautiful spot in a beautiful location. It’s close to lovely shops, the views from the room are gorgeous, and the host is very welcoming and thoughtful. I highly recommend it!

The hosts make this place outstanding. Peaceful and secluded space that was conveniently located. Exquisite attention to detail by the host that it felt like home. Would have to stay again when I’m in the area.

Our stay here was wonderful. Jeannie and Skate are the nicest people and were so helpful during our stay. The two cats are very sweet and were so great to spend time with. We loved our time here!

The guest house was really nice. The host thought of all the little details. It was super clean and cozy, and you can tell a lot of care went into setting it up.

Such a fantastic Airbnb, probably the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in! The hosts are so kind and everything is even better than advertised. Make sure to get some cider for the road because it’s incredible! The breakfasts the host provides for you each morning are delightful, menu is different each day. Really really incredible place. And to top it all off the guest house is beautifully updated!

Everything was exactly as shown in pictures and descriptions. We really appreciated the private backyard area to hang out in at some point each day we were there. There was just he right amount of shade and sun and comfortable chairs to lounge in. The interior was just perfect for us as well, very comfortable and well equipped. The bed and linens were comfortable but maybe just a light blanket in the summer time is all you need as it does get a little warm upstairs. We love the neighborhood (our son lives just a few blocks away) and we took the advice of Laura and got some tacos at Oscars Tacos just down the street. Amazing vegetarian options, especially the sweet potato one. Curbiside for ice cream is always a favorite of ours as well, just a few blocks in the other direction. We would recommend for a stay to anyone considering.

A beautiful, artistic and charming guest room that was perfect for a nights stay. Dave was a lovely host, waiting for us with a big smile and an open door. We booked last minute, and both hosts were so responsive and kind and accommodating. The place itself isn’t large, but it’s got everything you need to relax and enjoy- a comfortable bed and sheets, a beautiful green view out of the windows, an artistic and stylish bathroom with charming details (including a towel warmer!!) a fridge, coffee maker and cold water in glass bottles. There is a private outdoor patio decorated in mosaic tiles created by Kathryn, with lush greenery everywhere. We had two memorable meals out there- when we first arrived Dave made us a snack plate with beverages delivered on a tray. Also, they cook you breakfast and deliver it to the patio at your desired time. It was such a lovely way to start the morning and is the type of hospitality gesture that makes their Airbnb stand out. Can’t wait to come back!

I had the very BEST stay at Mark's place! Everything about the stay was magical - the cottage was quaint and lovely, surrounded by redwoods. Mark's hospitality was of the very best I have seen...he was so kind, helpful and caring and lovely to talk with during the stay. He cares so much and wants to make sure his guests have the best experience. And wow the baked goods are incredible! This was the best mini retreat I could have imagined..I will definitely be back!

Hard to find a better priced place with this level of modernity and space. As others have mentioned it's a windy drive from highway 17, about 35 minutes from Santa Cruz, 20 minutes from Los Gatos (really cool town), and 30 minutes from San Jose. Of course, the semi-remote location is part of the appeal - redwood trees all around the yard, visible from inside the house, and all around beautiful steep terrain. The attached home is great - super comfortable couch in the living room, great bed in the bedroom, kitchenette and spacious bathroom.
