Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Northern Norway

Dear Tina, We loved „Solli“, your arctic paradise at the sea. So much space and light because of the glassfront towards the fjord. Spectacular view and best private Sauna we ever saw. Everything around the house was so easy, thanks also to the perfect information about everything there was to know you and René provided beforehand and your quick responses whenever we had a question. Even though the house is not „infant safe“ we managed pretty good travelling with a 17 month old boy, since there were no stairs inside going down and the upward ones we could block and since it was summer season no need to use the fireplace. Plenty of room to play in the living room. The kitchen was equipped perfetly. Even a bedroom with the greatest view. We stayed with 3 (and a half😉) generations and everyone loved it. We absolutely loved our stay at Angelita’s Rorbu! It is spectacular. The views are breathtaking at all times of day - it’s such a peaceful and tranquil place to wind down while exploring Lofoten. The apartment is gorgeous inside and Angelita provided every possible amenity to make it feel like home. We loved cooking in the kitchen with local seafood (and Angelita’s incredible seaweed products - her shop is a must-visit)! We really appreciated the tranquil location away from the crowds but only 5 minutes or so from town for grocery shopping, etc. We loved the location of the rorbu in Lofoten. We explored towns, hiked, wandered and followed many of Angelita’s recommendations - and then loved winding down in the evenings at this magical spot! Angelita was responsive, helpful and so kind. We would love to return and stay here in the future!!

Wonderfully appointed home in a stunning location. Gorgeous views everywhere you look. The only downside is being quite far away from the main Lofoten attractions.

We fall in love with this house. It has a lot of great moment to offer. You can walk on the frozen lake, playing snow around the house, and even seeing aurora from the house window. Love the surroundings! The amenities are also great. Thank you host for the great house with excellent service.

We felt very comfortable in the house. In the sauna and whirlpool, we were able to relax after a cold visit to the North Cape. In general, the house could be heated very well, with heating in every room and underfloor heating in the bathroom and wellness area. The location after Honningsvag and the North Cape is ideal. We would also like to mention the cleanliness.

Jonathan’s rental house in Fjordgård was simply wonderful. Right on the water in a small town in Senja. Hiking trails to Hesten mountain and other locations are literally right outside the door! A floating sauna, which can be rented by the hour is a few doors down. The house is comfortably furnished with modern and extremely comfortable design. Four bedrooms upstairs were just right for our party of six. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay at a quiet location close enough to walk down the street to restaurants. Hosts let me park the motorcycle in the garage, and had the door open and ready for me. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

What a beautiful place surrounded by exquisite nature and kind Norwegians. Everything you could ever need or think of needing is available in this very modern little studio. I would recommend it to everyone!

Emmi was a great host and provided us with interesting information and tips about activities and restaurants. The house was clean and spacious. Also our dog was welcomed with a waterbowl and a dog bed.

Comfortable compact apartment, about a kilometer from the railway station. A large balcony, a couple of chairs, even blankets to wrap yourself in when the air is colder. Lovely thick towels, very good for use with dishes. Beautiful paintings on the walls. I highly recommend it!

In the midst of breathtaking landscapes, a magnificent, cozy and homely apartment for a couple and two dogs. Everything was spotless and the dock in our own use was absolutely amazing!

We had such a great time here in Tromso and at the apartment, it is a very peaceful and pleasant place, wonderful spot to have a break from our daily routine. The Northern Lights here are extraordinary and we had the amazing chance to see them directly above the house, it was magical, we leave with lovely memories. A fantastic apartment in a beautiful party of Norway. Susanne has thought of everything even down to the hair staighteners. Comfy beds, washing machine etc. Local coop is really good. Only sorry it was a short stay, thank you

It is a great private accommodation that is clean and has a beautiful view.The host, Lillian, is also kind and quick to respond.Fully equipped with amenities and kitchenware, you don't need to go shopping extra.The surroundings are surrounded by silence, and you can spend quiet time.We were disliked by the weather and the sun breeze and didn't make it possible to see the Northern Lights in our 5 day stay, but if conditions are in place, you will be able to admire them from the deck and the large windows inside.We recommend using a rental car as public transportation is extremely reduced on Saturdays and Thursdays.

Cozy apartment, stunning view of the fjord and a perfect location that places you near the city itself and the surrounding fjords and mountains you will want to explore. But even more impressive is the way Simen treats you. Kind, easy to reach and definitely someone who’ll give you a warm welcome. Too bad that I got captured by the beauty of the fjords and mountains that I couldn’t chat a bit more with him. I wish all the best for Simen and his family. I promised myself I would return to Tromsø area very soon - and I’ll try to book Simen’s place again (as long as it’s not already booked, because it’s a gem!)

We only spent one night on site but the accommodation was very well maintained and welcoming.

Very cozy and spacious apartment, surrounded by nature, quiet with breathtaking views of the northern lights! Johanna is very welcoming, little touches upon arrival and loan of equipment (snowshoes & sleds) it's adorable! The accommodation was even more beautiful and comfortable than in the pictures! The rooms were personal and beautiful and everything, including the flowers, was ready for us. The accommodation is well equipped, really neat and in an insanely nice place by the sea, but in a sheltered yard. Mari was the perfect host and always responded quickly and super friendly, everything was arranged with her without complications! We bathed in a wonderful seascape, with great steam in the tree sauna. The whole yard and the surroundings were beautiful and well maintained, you could have stayed here for as long as you wanted!

The accommodation is located outside of Svolvær. But it can be reached by car within a few minutes. The location is quiet and is adjacent to a forest and lake. The apartment is furnished with a lot of love and you feel very comfortable right away. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by Peder and his cat. He took the time to show and explain everything to us. The apartment also has a terrace, incl. Grill. Top, we would definitely book this apartment again.
