Take a boat, or walk to Torno to find a bar, cafe, shop, and restaurants. Como is a short drive, and public transport is close by. L' appartamento dista km 5 da Como, km 2 da Torno, km 40 da Milano, km 38 da Lugano. E' raggiungibile con i mezzi di trasporto pubblico : gli autobus C30 C31 C32 con partenza ogni ora circa dalla stazione ferroviaria Como San Giovanni , Como Lago Ferrovie Nord o da Piazza Matteotti in direzione Como- Bellagio, impiegano circa 8 min per raggiungere la fermata Blevio - Decorazioni Savio, distante 100 m circa dall' abitazione. Alternativa piacevole al trasporto pubblico tradizionale può essere l'uso dei battelli della navigazione del Lago di Como, con partenza da Piazza Cavour in direzione Torno, da dove camminando per circa 15 min raggiungerete la destinazione. It can be reached by public transport: buses C30 C31 C32 departing approximately every hour from the Como San Giovanni railway station, Como Lago Ferrovie Nord or from Piazza Matteotti towards Como-Bellagio, take about 8 minutes to reach the Blevio stop - Decorations Savio, about 100 m away from the house. A pleasant alternative to traditional public transport may be the use of Lake Como navigation boats, departing from Piazza Cavour in the direction of Torno, from where walking for about 15 minutes you will reach the destination. I ALLOW ME TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CAR, TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY, AS IN OUR AREA PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS ARE NOT COFORTABLE Villa Pasta The villa was built in the early XIX cen- tury and was bought in 1830 by the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta hosting space for its several guests. In the park the fol lowing built: the studio painting of Clelia, Giuditta's daughter, who attended the Brera Academy in Milan; the cafe-house, a small cave to cool in the summer; the wooden theater where Giuditta practised singing. Captain Wilhelm Locke, grandson of the famous philosopher, drowned in front of his wife and other guests in the lake area in front of the villa. Later his daughter erected a gravestone in his memory. In the small ceme- tery of Blevio it is possible to visit the grave of Giuditta Pasta who died in 1865.

The apartment is the perfect starting point for a holiday on Lake Maggiore. I really enjoyed being right on the promenade and for all those who have to eat gluten-free it is a dream that two houses down the street all pizza and pasta are gluten-free. When packing, remember that you cannot drive to the accommodation and that you have to carry your luggage. Thank you Iris for the time in your highly recommended and very clean apartment.

Debora gave us a very warm welcome and we felt very comfortable right away. But that wasn't hard with the great views and the beautiful property. Debora gave us many tips for things to do and see as well as local gastronomy - that was very helpful. She was very eager to respond to our concerns as quickly as possible. Everything was also perfectly prepared for our 11-month-old baby. What was not clear to us in advance was that the room on the upper floor has no door. Required special attention with the baby, but was no longer a problem. The house is also brightly lit. Snoring from below and baby crying from above was clearly audible in both directions. But that's not a problem if you stand close😉.

Beautiful renovated apartment with beautiful views and plenty of privacy. Everything necessary is provided and the contact with the host was also good. However, it is good to know that due to the high humidity, the floor as well as cabinets and walls are damp. The apartment is in a small remote village, but Maccagno can be reached within 15-20 minutes by car. In the end, we had a nice stay and would recommend the apartment for adventure lovers.

Amazing stay at Cinzia’s home. I wish I never had to leave. Her and her family were so helpful and kind. For us, the location was perfect - close to everything and just a short walk into town, but still felt secluded and private, surrounded by gorgeous scenery and nature all around. Cinzia was responsive to any of our questions and helped coordinate a massage for us by the water, and a multi-course dinner service at the home - everything was exceptional.

Relax in the green with pool a few steps from lake

The location is great, the apartment is well located next to the pool, so the children could splash in the pool. Unfortunately, the pool's usage times were not entirely clear, which can be improved. The lake is within walking distance. Bakery not far away. The site is fenced off to prevent unnecessary public traffic. A parking space in the garage is also available, so the car remains safe and cool. We had a lot of fun at the accommodation.

Antonio is an exemplary host! Nothing was too much trouble, his responses to our requests were immediate and he couldn’t have been more helpful. The views, location and ambiance are 5 star plus! Styling was minimalistic but on point. We loved the vibe and it’s the perfect couples retreat. Highly recommended! As hosts ourselves we know how important it is to communicate and provide a bespoke experience for our guests and Antonio exceeded all expectations!

This apartment was really a dream. The view is stunning. As indicated, you do have to climb for about fifteen minutes with quite a few turns and quite tight, sometimes it doesn't cross, but it's totally worth it. You need a car to get back down. Has always been very responsive, for our questions in advance but also when we arrived, in less than 2 minutes. The accommodation was clean with all the essentials and coffee. Maria and Arnold are extremely nice, welcoming and gave us great recommendations. Cleaning was included. The surroundings are nice with Luino or Cannobio more easily accessible by boat. Thanks for a great vacation.
