Amazing place! Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of the Lucca hills. Very peaceful. Lots of birdsong. We saw a deer in the garden! The grounds are brilliant and the place is the perfect size for a couple. We loved eating on the terrace with the great view, and swimming in the private pool. Only a short drive to Lucca which has some amazing restaurants (our favourite was Osteria de Pasquale). There’s some great vineyards in the area - our favourite was Fattoria Sardi. If I was reading this review I wouldn’t think twice about booking!

How can we even put into words what an incredible experience this was! Antonella was kind and helpful, and her home is just stunning. She made us feel so at home even with our limited Italian. She prepared us a home cooked, four-course meal one night and it was absolutely delicious. She even gave us the leftovers so we could have them for breakfast the next day. The villa was breathtaking and in a perfect location to visit beautiful towns in Tuscany like Pienza, Montepulciano and San Gimignano. We especially loved the pool and visiting with the animals. This was a bucket list stay for us and worth every penny!

I don’t have the words to describe how beautiful this apartment on the hillside is. The apartment itself is nice and cosy and spacious, and the kitchen contains a little bottle of olive oil produced from their own olives. But it is the location, the gardens and the little farm and the view across the valley which can take your breath away. Sonia is happy and welcoming and patient. She showed us around the wine and olive farm and was always approachable when we contacted her. There are two guest apartments side by side, but it is quite private nonetheless. Note that you can hear sounds from the other apartment quite easily. I cannot recommend this enough! Would love to come back.

This place is something else! The views, the pool, the houses, the interior - it’s something else. We stayed with our 18 month old and had such a happy time - surrounded by nature in such gorgeous accommodation and a kiddy kitchen / toys which were perfect for Otis. It’s simply beautiful and Martina is so helpful - highly recommend with a family or groups of friends for a zen and unique time. Close to lots of gorgeous places and Martina has wonderful recommendations. Only watch out is the 2km dirt track road to get to the location but it’s 100% worth it and quite fun! Enjoy - we can’t wait to come back :)

Cristina is the perfect host and the house is beautiful. The surroundings are amazing and the views......wow! All through the booking and our stay there Cristina was swift to answer any questions we had and also was happy to offer suggestions on places to go and where to eat. We had a perfect week there and I wouldn't hesitate to go back or to recommend her place to anyone else. Cristina and her sister met us at the house and showed us round, clearly pointing out all the relevant bits that we would need to know. Thank you so much for making our week in Italy so special and enjoyable......we are already looking to come back!

We enjoyed Maria's great house. We were kindly received by Maria and her family, where we were welcomed with a bottle of wine and delicious cake. We were with 6 adults. There's plenty of room. It's great that every bedroom has its own bathroom. It is a beautiful house in a beautiful setting with a lovely swimming pool among the olive trees and it is really equipped with all comforts. The charger for the electric car is also very nice. We picked up fresh bread every morning from the local baker in the village, 5 minutes away by car. Good base for the beautiful cities such as Lucca, Siena, Florence. The beach is also a great option. We felt very much at home. Maria and family, thank you for the wonderful time in your beautiful home.

The place is really in a fantastic location. Quiet and surrounded by olive trees. By car, you can reach Pescia in 10 minutes, where there is also a larger train station with a Park and Ride parking lot. From there, we took the train to Florence. The pool is bigger than it looks in the pictures. The house is very cozily furnished and you have everything you need. Deborah is really a great host - warm and you feel totally welcome. When we arrived, we already found small things in the refrigerator as well as fresh fruit and vegetables. Deborah also likes to make recommendations for the area and is extremely helpful! Thank you for the great holiday, we will definitely be back!

The stay was really a dream and even better than we imagined. Antonella took care of everything, was always super friendly and had a recommendation for everything. The location of the property is great, you can also quickly walk to shopping or the city. The guest house has everything you could wish for, was super clean and well equipped. The garden and the pool were also in excellent condition and simply fantastic. We would definitely visit again

Beautiful home near Chianti. Clean and comfortable, with amazing vineyard/sunset views. The hosts were very responsive and friendly, and they gave clear instructions. One thing to note is that the property is listed as "Entire Home", but it is actually a condominium that shares walls and outdoor common areas with the neighbors. There is a divider in the backyard between us and the neighbors, but it is not completely private. Overall, we had a great time here.

From the moment we were greeted by Isabella, Massimo and their son, to the moment we said goodbye we felt right at home. The house is well located. It was nice to leave the hustle of the old city and retreat to the expansive peaceful terrace of the house for an “aperitivo” before dinner. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well after long days of touring. One of our favorite things was collecting water from the town spring, which was just a few doors away.

We loved staying in Carolina’s house in Montecatini Alto. It was a lovely welcoming place to wake up in and return to at the end of the day. The view from the windows and the patio is extraordinary and sitting out enjoying it was one of the best parts of the holiday. The house had all we needed. Carolina was a wonderful host; friendly, quick to reply and extremely helpful. The village is a lovely quiet place to stay and we wouldn’t look anywhere else if we return to the area.

Really very nice accommodation and a big thank you to Camilla who takes care of everything. For example, with us, to reserve a tennis court. Full recommendation!

This was one of the most beautiful and peaceful places and my time in Italy was absolutely wonderful. I adored reading in the hammock and loved their cat! Monica and Franco are fabulous. Grazie Mille!

I would give 10 stars if possible! What a wonderful Airbnb - one of the best I’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful and clean house, and so peaceful with breathtaking views and in a fantastic village with lots of walking as well as a sweet little restaurant and a handy shop which was open from early until late. A very easy drive to Lucca and lots of other sweet villages in the hills. We also did a fantastic hike right from the front door. The kitchen and bathroom were very thoughtfully equipped and the BBQ was an excellent bonus. Elisa and Roberto were so lovely and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone - and may even return myself one day so I can sit on that beautiful terrace and take in those views again.

First, a big compliment to Sandro. Communication was perfect. Although we didn't meet in person, we were able to communicate well. The house is fantastic. Much better than the pictures could ever say. This attention to detail is unique. We spent 5 weeks all over Italy incl. Sicily on the road. But this place was one of the nicest. Also a dream for our dogs. Everything fenced and all around real peace. We were all very comfortable. All major cities are easily accessible. Supermarket and restaurants plenty nearby. We did not have children with us, but Sandro is sufficiently cared for with games, play kitchen, cuddly toys and much more. I highly recommend this house. If we visit this area again, Sandro would be my first address.. Thanks for the nice time.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 An absolute dream in Tuscany! Our stay in this beautiful holiday home in Pieve di Compito was simply unforgettable. The house is lovingly furnished, very clean and offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday – from a fully equipped kitchen to cozy bedrooms and a wonderful garden with a fantastic view of the Tuscan landscape. The location is perfect - quiet and idyllic, yet ideal for excursions to Lucca, Pisa or the coast. We particularly liked the proximity to nature: the chirping of the birds in the morning, a glass of wine in the evening with a view of the hills - pure relaxation! Our hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful and available at all times. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants, markets and attractions and made sure that we felt completely comfortable. We will definitely come back - this house is a little paradise!

A truly wonderful place to stay. The only sounds you’ll hear is the singing of the birds. Extremely clean and stocked with everything you will need. The property is beautiful and the pool is a fantastic way to end your day of exploring. We highly recommend. We know you won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful place to either lay back and enjoy the picturesque-postcard view from the comfort of your front yard or the pool (which was refreshingly cool in June), or to go further explore Tuscany locations within reach. The house was beautiful, clean and equipped with everything you could ask for, ie a quiet and air conditioned bedroom, kitchen with a gas stove, fridge and a wood fired bbq and a jacuzzi + comfy seating outside. Shops, restaurants and bars are all within walking distance, max 10 minutes. Andrea is a fantastic host who clearly cares about providing the best possible stay for her guests, which she did. Whenever we return to Tuscany, we will definitely make sure to stay here at Palaia again.

We spent a week with Lina with our three daughters (11, 14 and 14) and were totally thrilled. The apartment is in great shape and was super clean. Everything is available in terms of amenities. Lina's in-laws still live in the house, who take care of everything and are really totally accommodating, helpful and friendly. The pool is for sole use and has saved us through the hot days. On the terrace, you can enjoy breakfast in the morning coolness and let the evening come to an end as soon as it gets a little cooler. We can highly recommend the apartment and will be happy to come back!

Apartment and garden with swimming pool equipped with all the necessary comforts. We could say we felt spoiled! We also liked the mosquito nets not mentioned in the ad! In just over half an hour, we could reach Pistoia, Lucca and Pisa, which we visited along with a few small villages in the hills near the apartment. The available, non-intrusive owners made our stay pleasant, we really felt like welcome guests.

Nicola is more than just a host. He was our friend and helper. He responded to all our wishes and concerns in a caring and quick manner. You felt well taken care of. The communication was familiar, uncomplicated and very friendly. We received valuable insider tips from Nicola about the region and spent our stay like locals. On top of that, we were surprised with fresh plums and a bottle of Prosecco. The accommodation is very clean and there is an indescribably cozy atmosphere. The natural stones make the indoor climate very pleasant. The bed is very comfortable and the mattress is well stored. There is plenty of parking on the private property and it is very safe. In general, the property is very well maintained, inviting and well connected. The next excellent pasticceria is within walking distance. There are also restaurants. For the next trip to Tuscany, there is no way around Nicola's accommodation.

The perfect location for recharging the batteries and enjoying Tuscany! The house is located in a peaceful village with a beautiful view on the surrounding mountains and is great for visiting the main cities like Lucca, Pisa and Florence. It is also not far from the seaside, which was great to escape from the heat. The whole family felt right away at home and we really enjoyed our week in Tuscany. Thank you so much for having us!
