Bird Lovers Nature Lodge on Twin Coast Cycle Trail

Reset Retreat is nestled away on 25 acres of private, native forest filled with Northland Brown Kiwis, glow worms, Rurus, and resident native birds. We are right on the Twin Coast Cycle Trail and have access to several kilometers of private hiking trails that are yours to explore You will have your own private guest wing and balcony with gorgeous views over this hidden valley. You can sit by the fire and take in the stars and kiwi calls all night and explore the cycle trail during the day.

1. The Treetops @ #10 Abri

The Treetops is a self-contained luxurious studio cedar chalet nestled in a private sub-tropical garden with a wonderful sea view. Featuring spacious Open Plan Living, furnished with a King Bed, double Spa Bath, separate shower cubicle, full Kitchen facilities and a BBQ on your deck; as well as having air-conditioning (Heat Pump/climate control), Freeview TV, Netflix and Free WiFi. The Treetops has 32 external stairs from the car park up to the entrance door. Not suitable for children.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Wake up to views of Whale Bay with birds singing under the totara trees. One room with king size bed, ensuite , self contained cabin with amazing views. Look out to the sea from the shower! Throw open the doors and listen to the waves. Gorgeous bush walks either on site or walking the headland track over to Matapouri. Whale Bay bush walk 5 min walk away. Use of the outdoor kitchen, with glamping style facilities. Pet friendly on request.

This is a small cabin suitable for short stays, the bedroom is small but it is compensated by the location, deck, bathroom & beach which are great. Sit on kayaks & stand-up paddle are available free of charge. Tidy comfortable cabin just meters from a lovely private beach & walking distance to cafes, fishing club & pizzeria. No road noise, safe swimming, kayaking or trips to the Poor Knights Islands. BASIC cooking only; BBQ, Fridge, plates, cups, glasses, etc. Great eateries near by.

The Captain's Cove

Welcome Aboard our self-contained unit for 4 people. Hosts live above. Plenty of parking for boat and 6 minutes to the sea, hook up a catch for the day. Come and relax in the bay, with lots to do and see, including the local trike tour rides for a different wave! If summer doesn't inspire a near clinical obsession with the water, then we don't know what does! Enjoy your visit & may all who enter as guests leave as friends.
