Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Piney Flats, Sullivan County

Overall very happy with the space. The hallway and stairs are old wood and thus a little squeaky, but this was no issue for us. Very spacious, nice hangout areas, and overall very enjoyable. This was the first year in Bristol we decided to go with an AirBnB, and this one was so much better than the hotel we will likely try to rebook it each year.

Best host very friendly an very helpful an polite couldn’t ask for a better person than Carl he went above and beyond for us i would recommend his place to anyone!

I cannot say enough amazing things about this place. It was gorgeous and immaculate. The pictures are great but the place was beyond that. We had the best time . It was so clean and had every amenity. They are definitely Superhosts. If you need to stay in Johnson City stay here. 5 stars

The house was super clean and easy to access with the provided directions. We felt safe in the area, and really enjoyed how peaceful it was. The house has a few quirks and feels dated in some ways, but it didn’t cause any issues and we were very comfortable. We would stay here again and hope to on our next visit to JC!

Maraya was very responsive and considerate. The first evening we were there I received a message from her that she had dropped off an extra blanket and left it on the porch. She also asked if we needed any cream and sugar because she forgot to check if there was any Her home was perfect for our needs. Everything was clean and comfortable. We accidentally left a few things in the fridge that we intended to take with us to our seat weaving class We felt bad because we didn’t mean to leave that to her to have to clean out. She was very kind with her reply when I messaged her about it. I would highly recommend her home if you find yourself in need of a place to stay if you are in the area.

This place was just what the Dr. ordered. We visited the area for a long weekend to get in some hiking and visit Johnson City and ETSU. This was by far the best "pet friendly" rental we have ever stayed at. The fenced in dog run was awesome for our two dogs and so convenient to the master suite. The rental itself was so clean you wouldn't have even thought it allowed pets. The 3br/2bth set up was perfect for our family of 4 (inc. 2 teenagers). The best part about this place is the rushing creek/little river right in front of the house. Morning coffee just feels elevated sitting next to the water. There is a great waterfall hike just 10min from the house (Laurel Falls). Make sure you stop by the Appalachian Coffee Cupboard afterwards for a coffee shake. All in all, if either of our kids attends ETSU, this will be our permanent basecamp when visiting.

Melissa’s place was amazing. It has everything you need for a stay. It’s a nice, cosy place in the city of Bristol. 7 min drive to the city’s downtown. We were a group of 9 friends from DC, came for a hike to Devil’s bath tub. Best thing about the home is the backyard area with a patio to sit and enjoy your time. Backyard is big enough for group to have a 4-a-side soccer match. 🤪 We had the best time of the year. I will book the same place again when come back. Melissa is a great host. We are very thankful for her support.

Had an awesome guys weekend in Bristol, and Jennifer and Brian’s place made it even better. The home was incredible—super spacious, extremely comfortable, and stocked with all the right amenities. The neighborhood was quiet, safe, and perfect for a relaxing stay. You can tell they’ve put a lot of thought into making it welcoming and easy to settle in. This is hands down the only place I’ll stay whenever I’m back in Bristol. Highly recommend!

The place was roomy, well stocked and very comfortable. The yard contained beautiful blooms and a fire pit. The large bathrooms well stocked with towels and wash clothes was especially appreciated. Host responsiveness and suggestions of nearby activities, attractions and restaurants was also appreciated.

Warren’s place was great for us and we had everything we needed. A beautiful location, very relaxing. Next time we are bringing the s’mores supplies!

What to write in such a small space! Kevin and Susie are precious folks. We got in late on our first night and Kevin helped carry our things upstairs. And chatted with us for a bit. Susie had made some AMAZING cookies for us. We loved the space of the apartment. It was clean, cozy and just as the pictures portrayed. The bed was so comfortable!!! We will definitely be staying here again. Roan Mountain is our me favorite place and Kevin and Susie have the best place to enjoy it! Thanks for having us ♥️

Loved it! It’s nestled about 15 minutes away from downtown. Good size for the price. The only odd thing was there was cookware but nothing to cook on. Will stay here again if we visit again.

Just returned from a long weekend staying at this Air BnB. Overall, it is in a wonderful and charming neighborhood within walking distance from downtown JC. Perfect spot to get away and unplug. We enjoyed the coffee at Fearless and OMG the food at Lazy Lady Bakes bakery (downtown) is also tremendous. This location is perfect just for that establishment alone. Do yourself a favor and book this Air BnB!

Honestly I can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. The apartment is stunning, comfortable, close to all the downtown shops and not one single detail was forgotten. Everything was over and above even to the extent that there are little lights in the doggie rooms. I love it! I will definitely stay here again next time Im in the area.

This property was outstanding! Everything in the pictures and what was promised was just as it should have been. Would I recommend this property to others - absolutely. I am not sure that there is a better place in Bristol especially for a wedding at the Bristol Virginia trainstation. Very walkable with numerous restaurants within walking distance. If I am in the need in the future this will be my go-to place.

Brent was a great host with helpful check-in instructions. He made sure I had everything I needed. I hope to stay again in the future.

Amazing place out in the seclusion of the mountains loved it 110% From Pearl(the friendly fur baby) greeting us to the cozy fires by the creekside everything was awesome

Our stay was very pleasant. It was peaceful, relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable. The front yard/riverbank afforded an excellent view and I never grew tired of admiring it. The cabin had all the amenities we needed. There is a little country grocery just down the road where the people are friendly and the food, especially breakfast, is exceptional. Definitely recommend this peaceful country cabin to everyone, especially if you’re planning a fishing holiday.

Due to the floods last year the driveway looked rough at midnight when we arrived, but it was fine. There were activities in the cabin for littles, which we didn't need, but it would be great for families with littles for sure. The kitchen was supplied with pans for cooking, dishes and silverware for eating. There was a blanket for the dogs so they could sit and sleep with us like at home. The porch overlooks the river and the sound of the water was super relaxing.

Walter gave us an amazing place to stay for our anniversary weekend. Very secluded and private, which is something we were looking for. We felt right at home when we walked in and wish we could take this cabin back home. Everything was very tidy, well organized and we didn’t have to go looking for anything. We didn’t get to use the fire pit because it rained a majority of the weekend, which we were bummed about, but that didn’t stop us from sitting outside and listening to the sound of the river, rain and frogs. Very peaceful! Being so close to the river it made it very easy and quick to run down and throw a few casts in the river. Thank you Walter for the very comfortable stay. This place is on our list of places to hopefully return to!

This place was perfect for a relaxing get away. The detailed instructions related to directions, accessing the home and wifi were key! Our young boys loved the toy bin, the open porch, and the option to have “big boy beds.” The space was a lot bigger than anticipated and would also be great for a multiple family visit while still having privacy.

The home along the creek is very nice, it is 100 years old and one can imagine all the history gone by. We like to go down to the lower end of the property to hang out along the creek. It was very peaceful there. The weather was cold and wet, but Saturday finally got sunny:) One does not even hear the traffic going by, not that there is any. The kitchen was great for any cooking that you want to do. There is plenty of seating in the living room. The bedroom that we used the back one has a view of the creek. There are plenty of games and puzzles to keep one busy. The main road has been recently been paved and the main road into Newland is back in order as well. We didn't try the AT as it was raining, which has a trail at the end of the road that the house is on.

The cabin was set in the most peaceful little spot. We enjoyed our stay and our toddler loved the books and hanging out in the loft area. We already want to plan another trip!
