Holiday rentals with a sauna in Platteville

This was a great place to stay in downtown Des Moines. It was close to the Civic Center where we saw Hamilton, and had a variety of restaurants and activities within walking distance. And don't forget the Hy-Vee that was just down the street. We never needed the car during our 2 night stay. The apartment was roomy and exceptionally clean. The view from the living room window included the river, plaza and Civic Center - really beautiful! Mac had lots of thoughtful extras like toothpaste, floss, coffee, and simple check-out procedures. He was a very responsive host. We would gladly stay here again. Thanks, Mac!

Great place to stay, with a lot of things to do inside of the building and surrounding areas. Parking was also very accessible and not expensive.

This place was so great we extended our stay. Just a block from Main Street and great restaurants. The property was wonderful, well thought out, and secluded for being in the heart of downtown. We knew it was an old house and expected there to be small issues but we found none. Kitchen appliances were newer, water pressure was good, and even the steep stairs to the second level had a convenient work around. We definitely plan to stay again.

We had a lovely stay at Albert’s Glen while passing through Galena on our way to St. Louis. I scored a few bonus points with my husband when he found out we’d be staying in a historc brewery—with a sauna. The space is full of charm and thoughtfully designed touches that made me feel at home. The bed was comfy (especially if you like a firm mattress, like I do), and the water was hot—just what we needed after a long day of motorcycle riding. It’s a short and pleasant walk to downtown, where we enjoyed dinner on the terrazza at Vinny Vanucchi’s and breakfast at Otto’s. Next time we’re in Galena, we’ll be sure to stay longer so we can explore more—and hopefully catch Sandra’s Sunday breakfast!

The photos didn’t do the suite justice. The skylights and vaulted ceilings made the space feel large. It was in a great location, maybe less than a 10 minute walk to Main Street! Breakfast was served in the most adorable setting in a cute little room that was a part of the old brewery, complete with beautiful place settings and served by candlelight! The hosts were so sweet and super responsive!

We love going to Galena and this stop was very easy for us, considering this place was very close to Main Street and a short walk brought us there. Staying right on Main Street is very expensive. This was more affordable and very accommodating. Thank you!

Crystal clear instructions on how to get into the building and once you get in, it’s easier the next time. Had a small hiccup with parking, because of a race that had all the streets around the building closed, but Kyle gave us an alternative suggestion that worked out just fine. Everything was clean and exactly as described and shown. One of the most comfortable bed/pillow combos we’ve had!! Great location and walkable to everything we were in town for.

Very friendly host. The apartment has a lot of space, is very clean and easy to live in. When we come back we would love to rent this apartment again. Around the corner several good restaurants and a hyvee to get groceries.

This unit was as described and very comfortable. The instructions on how to get into the building and then into the unit were excellent. So glad that the unit had a washer and dryer. The free assigned parking space in the parking garage was priceless! So safe and secure. Very quiet area and attached to the Des Moines Skywalk. Walkable to a large grocery store, restaurants and entertainment. Could not get the online "guide book" to open up. Could have contacted Josiah, but didn't really find a need for it. You might want to make sure you will have access to it before arriving. Highly recommend this unit and renting from Josiah.

Great place! Stayed for the 70.3 Ironman. Exactly what we needed! Super close to everything we needed to get to. Walked most places, farmers market was right outside the door and breakfast was a short walk, and Ironman village was one block away. So thankful for a private parking spot downtown! Everything was clean and well kept. Would definitely stay here again. Instructions to get in were a bit intense but we followed it exactly as laid out and were able to get checked in just fine.

We totally enjoyed this house! Beautifully decorated, so comfortable, great area to run/jog, close to lots of shopping & not far from downtown. We loved it!

we stayed for a week for vacation & our stay here was a highlight. we felt right at home. we were able to use the fire pit & sauna & it was a wonderful bonus to our stay. we used the kitchen every day & had breakfast & dinner at the outside table where we got to watch the chickens & occasionally had a visit from the resident cat Fifi. there's a view of the mountains from the backyard that we enjoyed watching the sunset. it was a great home base for us to go out to dinner or the farmers market in Denver, or visit Rocky Mtn National Park, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, & other sights. plenty of space & cozy touches that made us feel right at home. we are sensitive to strong smells, so the Meyers soaps & unscented laundry detergent were unexpected bonuses. close to the airport so it was convenient as well! any time we needed anything, Savannah was super responsive. we interacted with both hosts during our stay & we had lovely conversations & always felt welcome. THANK YOU! 💚

The home was beautiful and the view was amazing! We had a peaceful and relaxing stay. The home was well equipped and had everything we needed. It was clean and exactly like the pictures and description. The host was responsive and provided detailed instructions for check in and check out, as well as suggestions for restaurants and activities nearby. We loved our stay and highly recommend this option if you are in the area.

As a host myself it’s always nice to stay at someone’s place that also puts in those touches to make it memorable! Traci had everything you can think of and even things you may have forgotten to bring. Our family booked this place as we were doing a trip to the zoo. It’s SO close which made it easy to take our kids back for their nap and then head right back to the zoo for their afternoon. She made local recommendations that we tried (Noli’s Pizza was SO good), and a coffee shop. While we didn’t utilize it the wagon she offers for the zoo is a great touch! The beds were comfy, sheets were so soft, and bathroom extremely clean. The biggest thing to note which is listed is the stairs are quite steep to the upstairs and to the basement(basement has a baby gate type thing but is right next to bathroom door). We did hear some traffic from the road as it’s on a busier street. We’d definitely stay again!

Just what the doctor ordered! Rest and relaxation! Super puppy friendly. Great backyard. It was like visiting my family dream home. Extremely positive energy! Great place to relax, reset, and recover.

The Hosta House was the perfect home away from for my family's quick trip to Okoboji. The entire home is absolutely beautiful and very well kept. All rooms were very clean and spacious. The patio was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the outdoor games & s'mores with my family. The host was extremely kind and so quick to respond. Next time we visit Okoboji we will definitely be staying here. 5/5 stars, much much recommended!
