Hen Ty Llaeth, Aberfforest, beachside & sea views

MandieRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Mum and I had a fabulous week celebrating my birthday at Hen Ty Llaeth. We were extremely lucky with the weather and spent plenty of time sunbathing on the terrace and paddock, relaxed and swam on the wonderful private beach and we were so lucky to see a pair of dolphins jump right out of the sea in front of us, it was spectacular! The regular visits from robins singing their hearts out, bunnies bouncing in the paddock and a mischievous fox made our stay. The walk through the ancient forest to the waterfall was beautiful. I braved standing under it and wow what an amazing experience! A very comfortable spacious well maintained home as described in the listing by Moira who is a fabulous host. And not forgetting those amazing views from the house which are breathtaking. We’ve come home fully recharged and rested . Thank you so much Moira . 😊 Moira is a great host.

Magical Tiny Treehouse 'room with a view'

AllyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I had a deeply nourishing stay at The Room with a View. Simple, rustic and peaceful, the tree house felt snug and sheltered in the Larch, over-looking beautiful and expansive moorland. For me, it was the perfect place for solitude and communing with nature. I immersed myself in the surroundings; venturing out onto the moors with the standing stones and ponies accompanied by the wonderful sound of the cuckoo. I found Anna to be very friendly and helpful; giving clear directions for travel and showing me round when I arrived - sharing some of the stories behind the place. There’s a well-equipped outside kitchen and cabin with a fridge along with washing up and shower facilities. A really informative book in the lodgings gives good recommendations for local eateries, hill and coastal walks as well as a list of beautiful beaches, castles and other places of interest - if you wish to go further afield. I felt rested and replenished and would love to come back.

Glan-y-werydd

Fabulous location overlooking the amazing tidal beach at Newport, Pembs. It’s a wonderful house, very comfortable and feels properly lived in, not just a bare bones rental. The kitchen was spacious and well equipped, with loads of useful fridge space. Coming in through the utility room from the beach made life much easier. You can soak up the sea view from the top floor bathroom’s deep bath. Bedrooms are a good size with plenty of wardrobe space. Living room has a log burner and is great to spend time in. Overall… spacious, comfortable, in a great location…. And you get to drive on the beach to unload and load!

Peaceful in the Heart of Pembrokeshire

Daniel PhilippRating, 5 stars1 week ago
An absolute gem of a place! From the very first moment, we felt completely at home. Communication was flawless – clear, friendly, and responsive. The accommodation itself is perfect and incredibly cozy, truly a little bijou. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped, leaving nothing to be desired. Everything was perfect – we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended.

Idyllic rural Welsh hideaway near Fishguard

CoreyRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Lovely place and if you are looking for a genuine cottage experience then this is it. Extremely rural, deep Welsh country side and we drove every single day in and out of the cottage and on some days we would not bump into anyway at all even driving for 30-40min so extremely quiet. If you are after an authentic cottage experience then this will right up your street. Only gripe was that that when entering or leaving the cottage there is about 5 gates you need to manually get out of the car to open, then move the car, then get out to close the gate and this process repeats 5 times so getting into or out of the cottage is about a 15 minute process.. Not a big deal but definitely were times we had wished it was just 1 gate haha but not the owners fault just one of those things. I would imagine it being almost impossible to travel around with out a vehicle as everything is would take hours to walk to but if your plan was to stay at the cottage it would be absolutely lovely. Lovely cottage.

Peaceful cottage Annexe

CherylRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a fantastic stay at Doug’s, it has a small footprint but has been thoughtfully furnished and renovated to make the most of the space. It was comfortable, stylish and homely. We arrived later than planned in the evening and the weather was wet and cool but there was a fire laid in the wood burner which really heated the place up quickly. It was also a great touch to see that the bathroom towel rail had been switched on. Within easy walking distance of Newport and surrounding coastal walks we had a week of daily rambles and swims, which meant that sometimes the walk back up to the house was a tad more difficult than it should have been!

We had a fantastic stay at this house in Newport! The location was perfect, especially for walks with our dogs. The property was exactly as described—very clean and well-maintained. I couldn’t fault it at all. Five stars all around!
