Holiday rentals with beach access in Portsmouth

Thank you for a wonderful stay! The view from the kitchen was amazing, the property was spotlessly clean and spacious throughout, and the bed was very comfortable. We had the perfect, restful stay and highly recommend this Air Bnb.

Great location which is why I booked it ! Very clean and some nice touches with welcome drink and chocolate. Toiletries supplied as well as dishwasher and washing machine tablets. Very pleased with this accommodation.

Alf, was amazing always on hand to answerquestionsbefore& after booking, very responsive to messages. The apartment was perfect, clean, felt like home & had everything we needed. Alf kindly left a fabulous welcome pack of food & drinks. We travelled to see family and the accommodation was just what we needed. Would highly recommend Coombe Cottage. Lovely apartment. Everything we needed. Comfortable. Loved the balcony as it gave an unhindered outlook to the bay, which we love and have visited for many years. Daughter and family in flat below so gave us a lovely family holiday. Lovely Sunday lunch at the Albion though need to make sure you have the Sunday roast menu which they forgot to give us!! What a lovely place and lovely hosts. The bed was so comfortable we slept more than usual, unless it was the lovely relaxing hot tub that tired us. The welcome food and treats and wine was very generous and very welcome. It was a very quiet and relaxing area. We stayed for 6 nights and would highly recommended

Great apartment in a brilliant location right by the beach. Comfortable beds and lounge area. Plenty of space and a nice balcony overlooking the beach. Perfect for a glass of rose as the sun sets.

My partner and I stayed for a weekend getaway and we had an absolutely amazing time. The apartment was kept in an immaculate condition and the hosts even left a “goody basket” for us. They also left a bunch of suggestions for restaurants / pubs in the local area which was very helpful after a long day of walking and sunbathing down the coast. Highly recommend and I would definitely consider staying again. Thanks guys :)

I messaged prior to booking with some questions and Clare and Alex responded extremely fast, they even enquired with a taxi company as to whether they would do the journey to and from a wedding for us! Communication after booking was fab with really clear instructions. Upon arriving the place was really well presented, had everything we need. As an extra special (and much appreciated!) touch there was milk, coffee, tea, sugar and some chocolates! The bed was super comfy and the place had alot of storage for our clothes. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to everyone!

Philip has been a great host, and we had an incredible stay. Not only was the house absolutely stunning, but the location couldn’t be better. Despite the weather still being chilly - the house felt warm and inviting, my favourite was enjoying the sea views from the comfort of the house while sipping my morning coffee. It’s clear that a lot of care has gone into making this place feel like a home. We’ve travelled with two young kids and everything we needed was already there. The welcome treats were a big bonus! We’ve enjoyed a bottle of Prosecco with our friends on arrival. I hope we can return soon.

Another fantastic stay at The Salt Shack! We absolutely love it there, each visit has been consistently successful, the house has been beautiful and clean with great things for kids to do. We struggled to leave as my 3 year old announced she “wanted to live here forever” and wouldn’t get in the car! It really is a fabulous place to stay and has plenty to do in the local area, the beach is an easy walk and Chichester is a short drive away. Highly recommend The Salt Shack! We’ll definitely be back again! ☺️

We had a lovely stay at this Airbnb! The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The location was quiet and convenient, and the host was friendly and responsive throughout. Just a couple of small suggestions: adding a curtain or blind to the front door would help with privacy, and the internet connection was a bit slow for streaming YouTube on the TV. Other than that, everything was great—we really enjoyed our time and would happily stay again. Thank you!

Carey is always responsive and happy to help as much as she can, this is our second stay here and it doesn’t disappoint, clean and everything is thought of, will definitely stay there again 😊

We are home after a Mon- Fri half term break at Admiral’s Watch, and we have had a wonderful time. Before we arrived we had clear directions from Nicky along with a really helpful list of recommendations for places to go with the kids. Getting to the property was easy and it was great to have a dedicated parking spot. The area is peaceful and completely beautiful. The small precinct of shops/ restaurants within the terrace was useful and didn’t intrude on our stay at all. The property itself is beautiful and just like the photos- the sea is right in front of the apartment making the views amazing. Nicky has styled the property beautifully and there was plenty of space for us as a family of four plus our dog. Activity wise I would recommend a trip to nearby Hurst Castle, and a meal at the Cliff House restaurant which was a short stroll away. Totally recommended, we had a great stay. Such an amazing house, location and hosts! We had a such a lovely weekend and couldn’t fault the house or communication. Would highly recommend and definitely hope to return another time! 😊

Great location to get to lots of various locations, we visited New Forest, Southampton, Portsmouth and walked down to the shingle beach, which was only a ten minute walk! Lovely and clean place, small but not tiny, just enough room for two adults and two small dogs. Everything was a thoughtful touch, from kitchen wear to comfort. Would definitely stay again if I was ever visiting the same area. Jackie was super helpful and very friendly, which is always a bonus. The surrounding area is residential and also partly industrial but noise level was low, which we appreciated. Plenty of space to park your car and close to the train station.

Finn has chosen stylish furniture and decor for this very well equipped holiday home. The photos show all the rooms accurately but the balcony actually has far more comfortable furniture than the photos show., making it a super place to sit and view the coastline. Due to the bay windows , this flat has more far reaching views than other seafront properties we have stayed in. Also, Finn is an attentive host, on hand to solve any issues that may arise. We thoroughly recommend.

We agreed with all the previous reviews, and would like to add, Elmer is a great place to visit, and the proximity to the beach is fabulous. Robs information was second to none!! The walks were breath taking. Our special visit was Arundel, the castle, gardens, and town were amazing. Ok, now for our one grump, the fridge is a bit small!!! i know, ridiculous but we didn't know whether to put the wine or the milk in the door, so had to drink the wine, and put the milk in the fridge....sorted. By the way, the welcome basket was very much appreciated.

Very sweet little cottage, beautifully decorated with everything you would need inside of it. Great location, with a nice pub down the road. We would definitely stay here again and recommend for all. The only downside is that it is situated on a busy road so at night you can sometimes hear the cars, but we didn’t mind.

Great location with the bonus of parking on site. Easy to find & quiet surroundings. A great base for exploring Bognor, easy walking distance to prom & the town.

Having lived in Portsmouth previously, we wanted a nice home near the sea front. The apartment was spacious, well equipped and easily accessible. The parking and the garden are an extra bonus for dog owners and people travelling by car. Jane was super easy to reach before and during the stay. Overall, we had a great time!

Nice and clean, easy access from the back if you want to avoid the steps, roomy, modern and well catered.

About as close to the sea as possible without being in the water! Beautiful interior, very costal blues and white pastel. Dead practical to live, ie kitchen, TV, bathroom etc. a couple of very lively pubs a few yards away, not noisy, just busy and worth a drink. Three flights of stairs are a consideration but of course the benefit is a grand, elevated view of the bay. Honestly, the description by the reviewers and the owners is about as accurate as you can get. A cracking break, Thankyou x
