Monte dos Vagabundos is an 8-hectare property half of which is fenced for our run-free rescue dogs. We are now offering part of the remaining land to animal lovers wanting to spend a unique experience in a gorgeous setting surrounded by nature and open views to the ocean and amazing sunsets/sunrises. All our dogs and pot-belly pigs are very impatient to meet you and welcome you for a big cuddle session, or an early-bird walk around the property, should you look for that type of experience.

Lovely views from the caravan and surrounding areas that reach as far as the historic village of Monsanto. Sunloungers and seating areas allow you to enjoy this view more comfortably. Please be aware that we are off-grid, so this may impact the use of electricity at night but very rarely in the summer.

Come visit our little community and self-sufficient farm, whilst staying in a cozy, converted van situated next to our sheep and organic veggie garden. Experience van life with the luxuries of a hot shower and toilets, including access to a fully equipped kitchen and chill out lounge. We are within walking distance of the historic medieval city of Alcácer do Sal, & only 20 minutes from Portugal's trendiest beach.

Bus converted into a home near the beach

This memorable place is anything but common. From a 68-seater bus we created a home with capacity for four people. All the comforts of a so-called normal house in a bus parked in the middle of nature, a five-minute walk from the beach. We offer 3 bikes for day trips and BBQ for starry nights (only between October and May due to the risk of summer fires in Portugal) It also has an outdoor jacuzzi to relax in nature.
