Monthly Rentals in Pottuvil

We slept two nights in one of the bungalows. Especially great was that you could leave the curtains open without feeling that everyone can look into the room (was often not the case in Sri Lanka). We also liked that there are enough storage options for luggage and it is quiet (it is outside the center but you are in the center in about 5 minutes with the Tuk Tuk). There is a lot of garbage and/or building materials lying around on the site itself, and there is still a lot of construction going on. This makes the outdoor area look a little run-down. In addition, we had assumed that there was a better equipped (communal) kitchen. The only communal kitchen had a sign saying that the room was for staff only. The kitchen in the bungalow had two pots, a kettle, a refrigerator, a glass, a cutting board and two forks/spoons. The hotplate had the wrong connection for the socket, so it was unusable... sweet dogs on site give them water! 🤗

One of a kind experience sleeping in one of the Cabanas/Tree houses - comparing with older places the well-fitted mosquito-net was a welcomed change. The food is a little pricey but worth every penny, the quality is really good and everything is really authentic. The pizza and the breakfast were really delicious. The crew which worked there worked really hard to make it one of the best experiences we had while traveling through Sri Lanka - they fulfilled every wish. One big plus was that you can order everything, anytime through a simple text message - never seen this before! There is not much to do around the resort but that makes it such a good place to wind down and relax. All in all we can recommend this resort and if we were ever to be around Sri Lanka again, this would be one of our top choices.

We booked with Malika because we wanted an authentic home stay experience in a quiet, rural setting and we found exactly this and more! From the moment we were handed a delicious, ice-cold, homemade lemonade on arrival, Malika made us feel like part of her family. Our 3 days with her were some of the best of our trip. The cabana is beautiful and rustic but still very comfortable with good facilities. There's no AC but we slept really well under the mosquito net and fan. The location is great - 3 mins walk to the beach (it's not safe to swim there) and in a quiet corner of Panama village. We spent our days walking on the beach and exploring the friendly village. Our evenings were spent chatting with Malika in her kitchen as she prepared the most delicious rice and curry dinners. Malika also arranged a safari for us to Kumana national park. We invited her and her family to join us and it was a very special day out Thank you for everything Malika! We had the best time & we'll miss u

a beautiful place to stay in Aragum Bay, lots of space, great facilities and a great host. we moved out of rooms kn the main road which were small and expensive. here we had 3 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, lots of living space inside and out. It is the best option for a group of 5 or 6.
