This little gem is tucked away with a beautiful view of the Apple river, but still close to everything the area has to offer. Part of our reason for this vacation was to visit antique shops, and we were so inspired and comfortable here! After busy days of shopping and sightseeing, this quiet and cozy apartment was the perfect place to unwind. Plus, the hosts thought of everything and had extras on hand in case there was anything we had forgotten or needed in a pinch. This may be where time stands still, but you shouldn’t — you should book it today!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an incredible experience at this Airbnb! The communication with the host was amazing—they were quick to respond, getting back to me within minutes whenever I had a question. The sunset view from the hot tub was absolutely breathtaking, providing a stunning backdrop for our evening relaxation. We opted for the gift basket, and it truly made our evening spectacular. It was filled with thoughtful treats that added a special touch to our stay. The place was extremely clean and well-maintained, which made us feel right at home. Every extra detail was thought of, including a bottle opener, which came in handy! The location was perfect, nestled close to local attractions and restaurants, making it easy to explore the area. This place was so great for our trip to Maquoketa caves and Monticello! It's right across from a pasture of cows which was such a treat for us. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. The house has three beds all upstairs - one queen in a room, and then a twin at the top of the stairs and another queen around the corner, but not in its own room. The kitchen had basic supplies (no oil/fat source so bring your own). When we come back I would consider bringing some of our own kitchen stuff to use since we do a lot of cooking (namely a better knife and possibly our own skillet) but we made do with the tools on hand. Service isn't great in the area and there is no wifi, but it's really nice to have the prompting to slow down and be present anyway :) just download maps before you go! Again, I definitely recommend staying here and going caving and exploring the beautiful area!
