Our vacation apartment THE APARTMENT Without Benedikt Kappenstein, Hof Erlenbruch would not exist in its current form. The guest room in the old haystack was awakened from its slumber and, after more than a year of renovation, was transformed by hand into a vacation home/apartment. The character of the old haystack was partially retained. Thus a piece of luxury was created in the Wildenburger Land on Hof Erlenbruch away from the urban hustle and bustle. The only people who live on Hof Erlenbruch are Benedikt Kappenstein, who manages the farm, his life partner Michael Noiron and their son. There are no cars around the farm and no traffic noise, as the access road ends in the courtyard. There is no Internet connection, as this cannot be provided by the providers and even cell phone reception is not possible on every corner. There is no everyday stress and no noise here. Here you only hear the rustling and cracking of the trees when the wind blows and the occasional howling of a fox. Here you can determine your daily rhythm in harmony with nature. Simply let yourself be carried away into the boundless forest landscapes of mountain and valley of the Wildenburger Land and discover our historic landscapes. Enjoy the tranquility and comfort of our apartment, which invites you to relax. The nearest neighbors are about 800 meters away, here you will experience pure secluded idyll! And if you should be drawn to more populated areas, you can cycle directly out of the courtyard exit and reach the nearest main road after just 2.6 km. A unique mixture of rustic farm and classics in a modern style await our guests in our newly designed apartment. An impressive mix with stylish interiors, modern design and traditional materials, which Benedikt Kappenstein and Michael Noiron have adapted to the style. A copper-colored bathtub next to the Jailhouse Bed by Noodles Noodles on the gallery, cozy wooden elements, fireplace and a completely new interior ensure the perfect feel-good atmosphere. Through the large windows you have a view of the surrounding landscape and our alpacas. The bathroom was also completely renovated in 2017 and remains true to the style of the apartment with a mixture of classics and wooden elements. A small kitchenette allows you to cater for yourself if you do not want to visit one of the culinary restaurants in the area. BOOKING You have the option to book the apartment for two or a maximum of four people. On the gallery there is a bed for two people. Below is the distinctive Moule sofa, with a transformation comfort with rotating seats and flexible backrests, which can not only be used as a seat and relaxation furniture, but can also be transformed into a comfortable double bed in a few simple steps.

The construction trailer converted into a tiny house is located on the edge of a natural garden that delights with all kinds of flowers throughout the year. Hear the birds singing in the morning, enjoy the scent of the countless roses in May. The construction trailer has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. A highlight is the outdoor shower with glass roof, heating.

The vacation home "Hassel 14" leaves nothing to be desired! With a lot of love for detail, the old half-timbered house from 1900 was renovated and completed in 2016. The house has 4 bedrooms, a spa area with a hot tub and sauna and 2 spacious bathrooms. The luxurious living area consists of a well-equipped, open kitchen and a comfortable seating area. The house is right next to the 18-hole championship course of GC Oberberg e.V. with breathtaking views.

Our lovingly furnished apartment in a 200-year-old timber-framed house combines peace, comfort and authentic rural charm. Koelnmesse can be reached in 40–45 minutes. Fully renovated in 2025 with a new bathroom. Ceiling height approx. 2 m. Large fenced garden, ideal for guests travelling with dogs.

Here you can stay in a small detached house with 1000 sqm fenced property and distant views over the Ober-Bergisches Land. The cottage is furnished in vintage style and has a fireplace in addition to electric heating. A kitchen newly built in 2022 with fridge, dishwasher, induction, oven, and everything else you might need, outdoor grill, covered terrace. Towels and bowls are available for dogs. Hiking from the house is possible for hours.

Our house is on the edge of the village, surrounded by old trees with a large garden. It is only 45 minutes away from Cologne. It offers enchanting, stylishly furnished rooms, wonderful niches and retreats. You can linger and relax in the garden and in the forest. We are surrounded by wonderful nature and enchanting villages. Our house is also ideal for day workshops and offsite meetings. Projector, screen and flipchart are available.

Living in authentic historical building

Our small apartment is located at first floor in one of the most historic listed frame work houses at Eckenhagen. All is very tiny and cozy, low ceilings with the original ceiling balks and small windows with their interior original wood panelling. Our historical building was part already 1770 of the buildings around the church of the antique centre of Eckenhagen.
