Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Reykjavík

The apartment was very clean and cozy and in my opinion the location is very achievable in and out if you have a car and plan to take day trips in basically any direction. Kitchen i.e. had everything(and more) you need for cooking. Comfy sofa for relaxing after a long day out. Groceryshop is like 150m away and has a good selection of items including own section for vegan stuff. We had absolutely no issues during our residence here and would definately pick this one again in the future. Highly recommended

Amazing stay! The place was spotless and had everything my daughter and I could need. Always found parking right in front of the house. Our luggage was delayed and the hosts very graciously brought it inside for us when it was delivered while we were out. Nice, quiet street even though you’re in the heart of everything. Food delivery one night had no trouble finding the place. We’re on our way to our next destination, but still dreaming about our next stay!

This place was amazing. I would rank it a 6 out of 5. Gunnar was wonderful. He even managed to let us get in a little earlier which was welcome after a 6 hr flight and coming in at 6:30 am. This is the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. It is in a 1903 house which insider is modern with everything you would want including an expresso machine. It is truly someones home and has that feeling. It is in a great location. My only regret is that we stayed only 2 nights. I retrospectivily wish we had booked for longer. I look forward to staying here again

Hard to imagine it looking better than the pictures... but it was. beautiful, comfortable, amazing ambience.

Comfortable bed, good shower, nice patio if the weather had permitted. Good location for visiting the Golden Circle and South Coast. Grocery store very close.

As a group of four we stayed at Anna’s place for two nights. The bed as well as the sleeping couch were comfy. The kitchen equipment was a bit sparse, for example there were only three cups and unfortunately no kettle. Otherwise, the accommodation was clean, within walking distance of the city center and great for the start of our Iceland trip. I would recommend Anna's accommodation.

Great place for the 5 of us to stay. Convenient location just outside of Reykjavik. Welcoming host. We appreciated having 2 bathrooms.

We loved the view and being just outside of the city. The apt. was super clean and comfortable, and parking was easy. Excellent stay!

Ragna’s place was perfect for a few nights stay in Reykjavik. We felt right at home in the cozy apartment. The kitchen had all we needed to make a home cooked meal and the bedroom was very cozy with a view of her wonderful garden out back. Location was excellent and easy to travel around Reykjavik. She was so responsive and helpful for any questions.

Top apartment with a balcony, close to great restaurants, groceries , fun shopping and a P base ment. Is specialfly great for family who wants to cook. Everything very clean, nice Islandic neighbors who lives there.

This is definitely among the best Airbnb's I've stayed in, so much so I would rent this apartment myself if I lived in Reykjavík. It's absolutely beautiful, has everything you need, and the location cannot be beat (within <5 minutes of everything in Centre, super close walk to nearly everything else). Stefan gave great recommendations and went to the extra effort of dropping off extra soap / laundry detergent when he realized the Airbnb would be running low during my stay. Highly recommend!

The apartment is conveniently located, and met our needs very well. Lydia and Emilia were friendly and helpful. We're very happy that we chose to stay here.

Svava's place was perfect for our first trip to Reykjavik. We loved the location, close to the cathedral, shopping and restaurants. Her directions about getting to the apartment and getting inside were complete and helpful. The apartment was clean and cosy, and had everything we needed. Svava helped us find a place to buy a small appliance we needed. One note: the floors coverings have concrete underneath. Since you'll be taking off your shoes inside, you may eant to bring slippers.

Ottar’s apartment was perfect for my stay - I was able to prepare some meals there and not have to dine out all the time. A grocery store is a short walk and finding parking was easy. The apartment is clean and in a quiet neighborhood, which made for a pleasant stay. Óttar was flexible on check-in time and was quick to respond to my questions. A good host and a comfortable, conveniently located apartment!

We had a great three nights at Eggert’s apartment. There is a shopping mall nearby that has a Bonus grocery store inside where we found everything we needed. We also decided to walk the 2 miles to the city center, but there are bus stops nearby. We opted to take Hopp electric scooters back. Easy! All in all, comfy studio apartment in a great location, with a very helpful and gracious host!

We had a fantastic stay at Elisabets lovely little flat, the location was amazing so close to the church, bus stop and local shops. Easy walk into the center. Elisabet was amazing and heave lots of good recommendations for food and the taxi and buses. We would highly recommend staying there Richard and Jayne

We stayed at Gunnar’s apartment for a week during our visit to Reykjavík. The location was good and pretty central to restaurants and attractions we wanted to visit. We did rent a car which made travel much easier and the parking was abundant and not too expensive. The apartment itself was clean overall although some areas had some dust. No complaints here, it wasn’t a big deal. Gunnar did advertise that the apartment house(d) two cats but as someone with cat allergies I had no problem with any fur or cat dander. FYI, across Iceland the hot water is heated geothermically which gives off a sulfur smell, so don’t be alarmed. Thanks Gunnar, for allowing us to stay at your apartment during the week! Ken + Jenn

This was a lovely, comfortable apartment. We appreciated Oli’s flexibility with check in and check out times. Would definitely stay here again if we’re back in Reykjavik!

We enjoyed our stay at Magnus's condo. the space is nice and location is close to restaurants. Thai place around the corner is amazing.

Very nice stay at Unnur’s home. New, clean and well equipped one bedroom. Location is in a fairly congested area but well situated for the travels we were doing. Unnur was very responsive to questions and gave us good input on things to do. We had a great 3 days in Iceland.

The host was really communicative and accommodating. Her home is clean and has everything. We enjoy our stay and would recommend!
