Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Rock

This was our first time in Rock and the house was just perfect. We were 4 adults and 5 kids including one baby. The location was excellent for the beach, for watersports, some restaurants and the ferry to Padstow. The shop is a 25 min walk away or a 5 min drive. The house itself was brilliant and the upper floor with the balcony was just perfect. (What a view!) The bedroom set up was great too and we had a wonderful time. Many fun memories made and we hope to visit again next year.

The Balcony Studio was the perfect getaway. It is a beautifully appointed stone cottage with stunning views overlooking the ocean. The cottage is steeped in history and has been beautifully renovated. It is spread over four half levels - you enter a well appointed kitchen, go down to the very large and unique bathroom, up to the bedroom with sitting area, and up again to a small living room and WC. The layout to the bedroom is very clever, with the bed facing the windows, but far enough back to be completely private when the blinds are up and the windows are open. I loved sitting in the chairs overlooking the water. Even with people walking by under the balcony, it feels very private. The location is fabulous - just steps to restaurants, cafes, shops and galleries of St Ives. The walk from the train was maybe 5-6 minutes. I loved my stay and would highly recommend.

We loved our stay at the ‘nook’ lovely surroundings, walking distance to stunning coastal hikes and beaches. The place itself was homely, very considered and peaceful. Absolutely recommend to anyone and we can’t wait to come back!

absolutely stunning place in the beautiful moorlands. Very private, close to the river and lots of horses, sheep a cows nearby. The garden is huge and the kids(and grownups) loved it. Great facilities, well equipped kitchen. Wendy was most helpful and very quick to respond. We might well make it an annual trip.

Really fantastic place to stay. The rooms were spacious and airy with lovely high ceilings and beams. The little courtyard was fantastic for the dogs. Really well set up kitchen with everything you need to self-cater, but also surrounded by great places to eat. Can't recommend the St Kew Inn highly enough - the food was second to none. Really helpful communication before we arrived and the information folder was really well put together and very useful with lots of places of interest to visit and advice on local walks. All in all a fantastic stay, and with the road network as good as it is now it was also really quick to get anywhere. So peaceful and relaxing being up in the farmland and near the moor. The Delphi Bridge at St Breward is a special place and the St Kew Ford a delight. We'll be back if you'll have us. Very best H&N

Helene and Jo were excellent hosts! In touch with us but not in an overbearing way - and the house was the perfect location and full of charm, we loved it. 1 Porthilly Cottages is a gem - and we really enjoyed our stay

We had a fabulous stay, Anne was a great host and check in was super easy. The garden was ideal as we had our dog with us, who also thoroughly enjoyed his stay ☺️🐾 plenty of blankets, books, board games and a perfectly clean home. We stayed for 3 nights and felt right at home. Would highly recommend. Great biscuits to accompany the coffee too!

An amazing place to stay. Highly recommended! Spotlessly clean and loads of space. The welcome package was very much appreciated 🥂Loved the sun room to read a book and watch the sun set, whatever the weather. The local beach was peaceful and had a great bar overlooking it. Perfect beach for my children to have a surfing lesson too. Makes me want to live in Cornwall!

A truly lovely, private, peaceful and unique property with stunning wow factor views. Enjoy sitting in the hot tub watching the sunrise or looking at the stars at night. The property has everything you need for a relaxing, peaceful stay. Highly recommend with the perfect hosts. 😍

We stayed for a weekend and it was perfect. A beautiful property in a very quiet and relaxing setting. Hosts provided all of the information we needed. We will certainly return for another visit in future!

We really enjoyed staying here as a group of five adults and 1 toddler. Plenty of room for us all and having 2 bathrooms was really great. The cabin is comfy and cosy, with beautiful views of the Cornish countryside. We used the cabin as a base to explore Cornwall as it is located centrally within easy reach of many popular towns. We loved coming back to the cabin in the evening and using the hot tub and waking up to the very friendly alpacas! You do have to drive up a very narrow and steep lane to reach the cabin but we were lucky that the lane is very quiet and so we never met any oncoming traffic. We would absolutely recommend and would love to return one day.

Wow, what a place! Far enough away from it all to be peaceful but close enough to walk and explore many beautiful places. The annex is spotlessly clean, wonderfully equipped and situated perfectly with spectacular views across the fields. The pool was, as expected, amazing to come back to after a day out in the fresh air. We enjoyed dining on the terrace overlooking the countryside. Even on a rainy day it was beautiful. Christine and Roy are perfect hosts and really made our stay enjoyable. We usually don’t mind going home at the end of a week away, but we were really sad to leave Stonelands. Thanks for a perfect week on the Cornish coast!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Stay in Perranporth! Loved our stay here — spotless, stylish, and super comfy. The location was perfect: peaceful, yet close to the beach and town. The hot tub was a real highlight, especially after long coastal walks. Great hosts — we’ll definitely be back!

The nicest static caravan we’ve ever stayed in! The place was immaculate, our hosts were great on messaging and left us a very helpful book which made everything so easy, even with two boys. The park was really quiet even though it was full, the boys loved the park and the pub was perfect for a quiet pint in the evening. The value for money was unreal, the absolute perfect base for exploring any part of Cornwall

Danny’s home is in an ideal, rural location, set back on an expansive lawn overlooking the sea on one side, hills with grazing sheep on another, and just beyond an amazing view of Plymouth. Beautiful! Directly across the street and down a short path is The Cliff Top Cafe, a great place to get a bite to eat and take in the amazing view. The home is very comfortable and clean and has everything needed to enjoy a peaceful getaway. To me, the best part of the experience was definitely the location. It absolutely does not disappoint. Views, views, views and soft sounds of sheep calling out from the hillside. Very special. Thank you Danny. We will never forget our first stay in the UK.

Just want to say a massive thankyou again! We had a lovely time staying at Blue View and the flat had everything we needed. It was very clean, well equipped & the views are to die for!! The pool was heated so I was able to take my 4 month old son in there who loved it! Kirsten & Ben are very friendly and even had the flat ready for us a couple of hours before the usual check in time :D we will definitely be back next year! X

This is our second trip to the Roundhouse which of itself, says a lot. We love the tranquility of the cottage & the ready proximity to Padstow with all that it has to offer. As dog owners, knowing they’re as warmly welcomed as we are is really important for us to truly relax. I often reflect that it’s the manner in which you overcome challenges that is the true measure of a person. During our stay we had a small emergency. I contacted Scott and within minutes help arrived. We were so well supported during a challenging a few hours and truly well looked after. Thank you Scott for your quick reactions and, thank you Mark for your kindness and support. So, a lovely cottage in a beautiful location and supported by a fabulous host. What more could you ask for?

This place was incredible and the photos do not do the views justice. It is in the perfect location for exploring the north coast of Cornwall, close to the camel estuary and the coastal paths and no more than an hour to St Ives and the south coast as well. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you should need for time away. Great to have the barbecue to cook on as well. Everything was spotless, the showers were strong and hot, and the bonus for us was the outside shower so that we could wash dogs easily after their escapades on the beaches. The supermarket is a short drive away in Wadebridge. Wr recommned walking on Watergate bay at low tide, coastal paths from Rock to Polzeath, around Trevose head to Booby bay, Fistral beach to Crantock and beyond, swimming in Porth, Crantock and Harlyn beach. If you want to visit Padstow and St Ives go early for parking and to avoid the crowds. Thank you Cate and Ben. We will be back.

We had a great stay at the Gables and particularly enjoyed using the amenities including the hot tub, pool table and darts board. We had fierce family competitions most days. There was plenty of space for everyone to chill out and the main bedroom suite is huge. The house had a really homey feel with a touch of luxury with beautiful bedding and towels. The location of the property was great for the local shops including a spa, butchers, bakers and fishmonger which were all excellent. We were able to walk our dog down the hill to Porthilly beach most days which was lovely. With grandparents in tow we usually drove down to Rock and got the ferry over to Padstow which made for a lovely days out. Or simply to sit on a beach and enjoy the view. We would highly recommend the Gables for large family gatherings.

We had the most incredible stay at this property. The views alone were some of the best we’ve ever experienced, with the deck overlooking the sea. The beach is a short walk down the cliff side from the property (the walk back up is a workout to say the least, especially on a boiling hot day!) and a stroll across the sand couldn’t have been more peaceful. Christian was a great host and was quick to respond to any questions. This is the perfect place to switch off, with bedrooms with great views and a spacious living room and kitchen. The only thing we’d suggest is possibly bringing your own essentials, such as milk, butter and cooking bits as local shops are about a 15 minute drive. Overall we can’t recommend this place enough, we really needed to reset after a hectic few months and we finally managed to here for which we are so grateful.

The accommodation was great, clean and furnished very well. Bethan was a great host and very helpful. The local area is extremely beautiful so it is definitely worth spending a few days here at least.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely rented house in Cornwall. The location was perfect — quiet, peaceful, and ideal for a relaxing getaway. One of the standout features was the beautifully kept garden; it’s clear a lot of care and attention goes into maintaining it, and it added so much charm to the property. Inside, the house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The host was incredibly helpful and responsive, which made our stay even more enjoyable. From check-in to check-out, everything went smoothly. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tranquil retreat in a stunning part of Cornwall!

This static was in very good condition and had everything we needed. We really liked the location as it was on a quiet site - which suited us and our kids. The beach is indeed really close to the accommodation. Claire’s place presented as very good value. We had the option to contact her on text message if needed. It was very clean and overall we were really pleased with it. Many thanks for the scones and jam. We recommend this to others.

My husband and I could not have enjoyed our stay more. The Parlour was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and extremely quiet. We are both over 6ft so had to duck at times due to beams and low ceilings (bedroom and bathroom), but this would not stop us from returning. We absolutely loved our stay here. Very quiet location away from all the houses and crowds at Polzeath. The space is beautifully styled and the King size bed was very comfortable. The dishwasher was an added bonus. There is also a Nespresso machine so remember to take capsules if you like a proper cup of coffee. Cathy is a very talented artist and her paintings adorn the walls should you wish to purchase - lovely local views, both modern and traditional in style. If we lived closer, we would booking on a regular basis. This is a very special place to stay, with a woodburner in the sitting room for when it is colder. So if there is space in your car, take some wood to burn if visiting when cool at night.
