Holiday rentals in Ronco sopra Ascona

With an absolutely stunning view over the lake, Christoph's place was a fantastic retreat for a peaceful long weekend. While some of the furnishings were a bit more well-worn that was apparent in the pictures, it also had a more organic feeling, giving the impression of a space that had been set up with care. The location was ideal, with easy (if a bit infrequent) bus connections to Locarno and Ascona as well as plenty of hiking possibilities. Christoph was very friendly and even offered to meet me at the bus stop on my way in to give me a ride down to the apartment with my bag. I would not hesitate to come back!

Judith und Hans waren immer erreichbar und gaben stets schnell Auskunft. Die Kommunikation verlief somit schnell und umkompliziert. Es wurde bei der Ankunft auch nachgefragt, ob alles gut sei. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und es hat alles, was man braucht. Die Aussicht ist ein Traum - dafür nimmt man auch den Weg dorthin (steilere Treppen) in Kauf ;-) Wir kommen definitiv wieder! Even better than the photos! Amazing rental in a great location. The views cannot be beat. The hosts met us there and helped us get into the place. They were to ensure we had everything we needed. Vicky helped with recommendations and reservations for us too. Can’t wait to visit again!

Unser Aufenthalt bei Erich war einfach wunderbar und sehr erholsam. Erich ist ein rundum toller Gastgeber und hat hier eine Oase geschaffen, die seinesgleichen sucht. Wir fühlten uns von Beginn weg wohl in seiner gemütlichen, schönen und liebevoll eingerichteten Wohnung. Es fehlte an nichts; die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet und sehr grosszügig. Von der Wohnung und den Terrassen aus hat man einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf den See und die umliegenden Berge. Auf den zwei Sitzplätzen und im Garten gibt es verschiedene, gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten zum Lesen, Essen und Träumen. Das Haus ist umgeben von Blumen, Kräuter- und Gemüsegärten, welche Erich liebevoll angelegt hat und pflegt. Zusammengefasst: Ein Ort zum Entspannen und Geniessen in absoluter Ruhe. Danke Erich, dass wir bei dir sein durften! Wir freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen.

We had a truly wonderful stay! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully stocked with all the essentials. The location was perfect—close to Ascona was incredibly welcoming and responsive and provided excellent recommendations that made our trip unforgettable. This was indeed one of our best Airbnb experiences, and we can’t wait to return. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway!

La Gioia, and that's what you get. It was an absolute joy to stay at this place, from beginning to the end. The host, Andreas, was very friendly, flexible and welcoming. You can feel how much passion and appreciation he has for this gem. The property is absolutely majestic, offers pristine views on Lago Maggiore, modern amenities, but with a classical italian flair. Everywhere you can find small little details that show how thought was put into this place. Simply arriving at this place is already an experience in itself. We spent an absolutely lovely birthday weekend there with my wife. Couldn't wish for more! We will gladly be coming back, it is a perfect place, not just in the summer, but also in winter.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights while travelling around the lakes for our honeymoon. The check in was simple, and upon arrival we were blown away by the view. Wow! We arrived on a glorious day and couldn’t wait to get into the lake and lie in the sun. Inside, the house was just as described and equally as beautiful. We were greeted by a fresh arrangements of flowers and a wonderfully stocked fridge which was again perfect after a long day travelling. We walked into the town on a couple of occasions and drove to Lecco on another. All easy and straight forward. We didn’t use the sauna, but it looked clean and easy to use. On our second morning we were treated to fresh croissants left by our car, which were delicious. Especially as lots of places were closed for the bank holiday Monday (republic day). Cinzia’s place was absolutely stunning and did not disappoint us.

Great little cottage with a spectacular view of Lago Maggiore. We didn't think it was too hard too find, the instructions provided where excellent. Great place to be in Nature while still being close to Italy (30 min to Cannobio) and Ascona (15 min) if you want to go out in town. We also highly recommend the hike uo to Pizza Leone if you are staying here, absolutely breathtaking hike and you can start it right from La Pastorella.
