Built circa 1800, refurbished circa 2014, The Old Potting Shed is a cosy, self contained detached ensuite annexe. Situated in our a garden, in a village location, approx 15 mins from Canterbury & Dover, the Kent coast and close to the medieval Cinque Port of Sandwich. We are proud Superhosts and aim to ensure guests have a great experience and comfortable stay. Unfortunately our accommodation is not suitable for children or pets. Myrtle’s Barn Amazing Renovated 2 Bed NO GUEST FEE

Percy William Vickers came to Summerfield Farm in 1909 and this buildng was a thatched, timber clad barn. It was the milking shed for the house cow that was called Myrtle, providing the milk, cream and butter for the farmhouse. When Myrtle was replaced by the next house cow, the house keeper called that cow Myrtle. And the next cow after that was called Myrtle… The thatched barn was replaced in the mid 1950’s with a “modern” concrete and block building that became Myrtles milking shed.

Located 5 minutes walk away from the White Cliffs of Dover, the granary is a converted timber frame building set in the garden of a 16th century Kentish farmhouse and 1 km away from the beautiful seaside village of St Margaret's-at-Cliffe. Featuring exposed beams, wattle and daub walls and many original features including staddlestones and a handcrafted spiral staircase leading to a mezzanine sleeping area, the granary has a lovely feel and is very light, warm and cosy.
