You would live in the small village called “Meigen”. It is very close to the city centre of Solingen. The drive to the city centre is about 5 min. with the car and 10 with the bus. You can park your car almost in front of the apartment. The train station „SG-Mitte“ is also very close. By foot you will need around 20 minutes, with the car only 5 minutes. If you want to ride to Düsseldorf or Cologne you can easily take the train (30-40 min.) or your car (same time), perfect for fairgoers.

Free parking spaces can be found at any time of the day on Flensburger Straße. You can stop briefly in front of the tiny house for loading and unloading. The property is at the end of a dead end road surrounded by forest and meadows. Ideal for hikers and bikers, it starts right outside the door. In the large garden behind the house you can lie in the sun as you please, sit comfortably under the walnut tree, use the sauna (10 for additional costs) or end the day by the campfire!

The side building has a separate entrance and it has two floors (internal staircase). It has a living room with access to a small but fully equiped kitchen. In the second floor you find the sleeping room with a working place and a wonderful bathroom. The location is quite central and has multiple access to public transport inclusive regional trains to Düsseldorf (three connections/hour, 30 minutes travel time).

Guest suite in a listed barn

The accommodation is part of a beautiful, listed farm complex from 1820. The guest suite is located on the first floor of our listed former barn and has a separate side entrance. The terrace behind the barn can be used by our guests. Located in the immediate vicinity of the Rhine. The Medienhafen can be reached in 5-10 minutes by bike or car, and the city center in 10-15 minutes.

Garden View Room

This studio room is self-contained with its own entrance, shower, and toilet, as well as a private outdoor seating area. In addition to the gorgeous garden view, you're ideally located to get to the Folkwang University, Lake Baldeney, or easily reach Düsseldorf (including Düsseldorf Messe) or the Essen city center (and Essen Messe).

Wir sind ein 4-Personen-Haushalt mit Tochter und Oma mit im Haus! Meine Mutter Sigrid ist Co-Gastgeberin, Putzfee und Hausmeisterin in einer Person, ohne die hier gar nichts laufen würde. ;-) Seit 2019 gehört nun auch ein kleiner Hund aus dem Tierschutz dazu. Wir haben schon so viele tolle Gäste gehabt und freuen uns nun auf Euch!
