We absolutely loved our stay. One of the best Airbnb experiences ever. Huge spaces but very warm and cosy. Fantastic shower. Very quiet yet walking distance to Ravenstein station. Totally unique and highly recommended. Only 30 minutes from Eindhoven airport. Don was very friendly and helpful too.

Loved the room and the kitchen is really spacious! The warm floors also really nice, behing in winter :) We had done our shopping beforehand and enjoyed cooking there. We also did a bit of walking around the other villages. A car is definitely needed ! In general, it was a really nice getaway for me and my boyfriend :)

The house is very beautiful from outside as well as inside. In the decoration we guessed we could feel the personality of Don and Truss, nice, uncomplicated and warm. It was rainy the whole Week-end but it felt very cosy, we had such a relax time that we forgot about it. Most recommended place to stop by if it's on your way!

The cottage is settled in a beautiful garden, tucked away in a very romantic and warm area outside of Ravenstein. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, and perfect for a weekend getaway. I really felt like I had stepped away from the city, and could enjoy a quiet weekend in an elegant and cozy cottage. It has everything you could possibly need: fresh linens, snacks, a very tasty optional breakfast, and books, and ample space. Arianne, the host, is incredibly warm and very accommodating. She was helpful in providing us with suggestions for where to go out in the nearby cities, and nearby fishing locations. Thank you, Arianne; we are very much looking forward to going back!

A wonderful stay in a spacious and cozy house. Spacious enough for two families with a total of four children. Both inside and outside is plenty to do with a large trampoline and a lovely garden.

The house was very nice for two families with four small children. Especially the garden with trampoline and several seats were very nice. We had fantastic weather with Ascension and Thea even the children put the sprinkler on the grass so that the kids could run through. Really recommended to rent bikes at Bike Adventure nearby, also very nice people working there.

We have Tom and Thea had wonderful days. Comfortable, spacious bedrooms (4) and another room with bunk beds for children. Two beautiful and spacious bathrooms and the garden is lovely to sit / play on the trampoline for the kids. Everything is there for a couple of wonderful days away. Overall, great had and can highly recommend it.

We have a great family weekend at this fantastic venue. The house is tastefully decorated and guests can relax in the beautiful garden. An absolute must!

What a beautifully decorated house, every nook yet another new or old detail! 4 couples and three small children we have had a wonderful long weekend at the Front House! This is the ideal place for groups or families! You can get a nice round 15 minute walk over the fields and in their own garden! Tom and Ank have this house with love, taste and attention to detail decorated! The garden js also delicious and very tasteful. We had brought bikes and rented through Tom and you can explore the area so delicious! Herpen with bakery and grocery store you would still be able to do on foot. We had himself taken a few spring flowers, but that was completely unnecessary, everywhere were flower arrangements and plants!

We had a nice weekend at The Home Front. The house is cozy snug and located in a beautiful setting! The bedrooms and bathrooms are nicely renovated and the kitchen and living room have the charm appropriate to the house. It was a perfect home to celebrate the New Year with our families.

Really great host and place is nice. Mieke is very friendly and was kind enough to have the room set up with some tea and offered us breakfast the next morning. One thing to watch out for is that the stairs are quite steep so be careful in walking through that.

Mieke's place is a real gem, and so is she. We had fantastic conversations. The breakfast with raspberries fresh from the garden, and eggs from Mieke's own hens was fantastic. I would come back again any time, and highly recommend this listing. The town is very sweet. If you want to eat at the local restaurant Versaen, book weeks ahead. I was disappointed to miss having a chance to eat there.

We have a blessed weekend polite! Mieke you unwind! You will receive very welcoming, you sleep in comfortable beds, very clean, great shower, you will be in the morning with singing birds wake up, tasty breakfast in the garden with homemade jam and elderflower drink. Last weekend stayed with Mieke. Mieke has received welcoming me; it was cozy! It is ideal for cycling on the river Meuse in Ravenstein!

Nice place to stay in Ravenstein! It was a room in Mieke's home, using her bathroom and toilet. I found it myself to get used to 'stay' is actually someone in this way, but I have twice visited her and liked very well. Mieke gives you a very warm welcome. She even sometime superlekker cooked for me (also gluten free)!

A warm welcome with tea and cake. Nice hostess. Nice garden. Room less suitable for (very) warm weather, as we had.

We had a very good time at Mieke's place. She is a very kind lady and we had interesting talks. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was great!

We were received very hospitable Mieke, with every morning fresh eggs from her chickens. We had a full schedule during the day and arrived home late at night (which was not a problem), so we did not see much of her, but in the morning there was always a pleasant and interesting conversation. We had a nice stay in Ravenstein.

This place is beautiful and Ravenstein is walking distance and is one of Hollands most beautiful little old towns with a very nice operating windmill. The house is bigger than the photos and we stayed with 2 adults a 3, 6 and 8 year old. plenty of space. Linda and her husband are great, good balance of help and privacy. They are in the house behind it and we have the whole front house for ourselves. The place is really old charming farm house with interior to match. Cooking facilities are fantastic and everything from pot, pans, cutlery, coffee, tea ect are provided. TV with nice Xbox for the kids in the living room. The house is has absolutely everything. Bed rooms are good with good beds, big enough. The shower/bathroom is a bit older, but it was fine for us. Good hot continuous shower. I strongly recommend this place, its beautiful.

Peter and Linda where absolutely wonderful hosts. The house was better than the pictures. It was everything we where looking for and more. If we need accommodation in the area again I would not hesitate to contact Peter and Linda again. The location is fantastic, quiet and peaceful.

A perfect stay in a lovely environment ( nature and house ) with a host one could not find every day... Linda and her family were helpful, friendly but never too close so we felt like being complete for ourselves...but still having somebody at our side if we need help or info.... Linda and her husband Peter offered us their help for any kind we might need and Peter was a good helping hand while we were unloading and uploading our Motorbikes - he also is a "Biker"... Everything was as described and for us as home cooking ambitionists we found a well equipped kitchen to do all the cooking we like to do. Of course it is not a hotel or an apartment run by a hotel, so everything is genuine but used like it is in a private house, so one might find this or that not so good, but in our eyes it is a typical Airbnb location ( even one of the very best!). Conclusion: we will be back if we go to the Netherlands again ( which is 4 sure in the future)!!!! A full recommendation from our side! Andreas, Ulrike & Charlotte

After a warm welcome we were able to spend a week delicious! We came for the peace and it was there. The lovely garden gave a sense of freedom. Our son enjoyed the search for the stray chickens, rooster and cats. For our son was the camp bed all ready, including the chair and the wooden train track! For questions Linda and Peter were ready. The nostalgic village Ravenstein is to walk and the area is beautiful! (Nature Shack). We had a wonderful holiday here.

A fine experience in Ravenstein. The house is very charming and has a lot of character. We came with three small children and there was definitely enough space. The living room is comfortable, the kitchen beautiful and functional. The bedrooms are quiet and the beds are very comfortable. The shower and bath worked fine. The house is located near the mesh, where we go every day walking or cycling with the kids. Chances are we going back again!

Linda was a wonderful host. We arrived late in the evening and she was available to assist us as we needed. Her home was welcoming and warm and provided a comfortable base for our family with plenty of room. We look forward to returning on our next trip.

Wow! What we have had a lovely overnight stay in this perfectly maintained apartment. The welcome by Joost was super warm. The apartment is even better than frankly the pictures. Lovely bath, beautiful bedroom and haardje in the living room is super cozy and warm. Through the French doors you have a wonderful view over the garden. Breakfast was very well taken care of! Joost was even kind enough to drive us as a nice spot for a short but beautiful walk. A really special experience. Our short weekend felt by the hospitality and beautiful surroundings as a mid week break;) We briefly recharged! We have already recommended this place to be our friends, really a prime location!

This was great accommodation with a beautiful garden, perfect to relax in the sun. The place was spacious and comfortable with everything you needed, and the personal spa and sauna made it really luxurious. The hosts were very welcoming and after a slight mix up with our arrival time they went the extra effort to drive us into the town centre for dinner and then picked us up when we were done! Joos gave some great information about the history of the area. Breakfast was also very nice and fresh.

Nice location with a beautiful garden! We were warmly received by Joost and got lots of tips / information on the area, the cottage was neat and clean. In the garden in the sun, we heard a lot of birds chirping and the occasional sheep from the neighbors. They gave us the room and enjoyed our stay, definitely recommended!

My first impression of cottage on the Erfdijk was, here I would like to live like that! What a reception complete with a bottle of wine, chocolates and nuts. It is a cozy, comfortable and nicely decorated part of a former farm with a nice garden where you can linger, even if it is hot under the hazelnut tree. The dog is also a good time in the garden which was fine dropped. The area is rural with not too far away nice places. And hiking sufficient in the area. For me a must and certainly a reason to come back again.

If you havent stayed at Holtsehoek before...you should!! So cozy place keept in old style yet everything you need is there. It made me remind my childhood holidays with my grandparents and also think that we share the same historie and culture. On top that....breakfast was super and the friendly hosts are very nice people. Will recomend any time! Greetings from Denmark.

What a fantastic place to stay! The scenery is just as beautiful as the home itself. Incredibly crafted traditional-style Dutch home in the most wonderful pastoral surroundings. Will absolutely stay again the next I'm back in the region.

Can't say enough good things about our stay. Living in the haystack house is a real experience! The house is super comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. It is actually much lovelier in real life than the pictures and a lot more spacious. The garden and orchard outside the house are suoer and the hosts really friendly and helpful. We were travelling with our 2 year old and they made a baby bed and high chair available for us which we really appreciated. The local area is beautiful especially if explored by bicycle and lots of interesting sites to visit nearby. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone who appreciates nature and the countryside without giving up comfort and well thought out living spaces. We will definitely come back next time we are in Holland!
