Kevin responded very promptly to what was a very last minute reservation. The room was very nice. It is a lovely king size bed and a tv right there for you. The bath room was sparkling clean. I would be delighted to stay there again.

Wonderful house that is carefully furnished, decorated and maintained. If you are a lover of the classic, center hall colonial-style house, this is the place for you. For us, it was definitely love at first sight. This is an old home, with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy a good book, a cup of coffee or some good conversation. Plus, it is quite family-friendly. Our kids immersed themselves playing with the huge collection of wooden trains and tracks and pouring over the fun collection of children's books. Highly recommended and we'd definitely stay here again.

My friends and I stayed at Nicole's place before heading to Charleston for a cruise! I highly recommend booking this space... especially if you have a large group, as it very spacious and accommodates plenty. We loved letting the chickens out to forge in the evening... such a neat thing to witness. Nicole has everything that you may need during your stay, and has not left out any details. Communication was A+ as well as cleanliness! If you like the charm of an old farm house... I promise you, you will not regret booking this space!

Where do I begin! This place was amazing. The whole house was decorated with an antique charm but had modern conveniences. I loved everything about it. There is also a huge back yard which is fenced in - great for traveling with a dog! There were some extra food items in the fridge which the host welcomed me to have (including fresh eggs from the chickens in the back yard). That was really nice. I enjoyed reading about the history of the house in the binder while sitting out on the porch in the evening. I was very lucky to find this place available. It is a convenient stop on Route 95 and WAY better than a hotel. :-)

Our stay in this beautifully refurbished farmhouse was truly a blast from the past for me and my family. I literally grew up across the street, with relatives next door... so many wonderful memories! We were made to feel right at home, and the love and care that was obviously given to every detail of this old home just warms my heart. Perfectly clean, sweet nostalgic touches throughout, and with great communication from the hostess - I highly recommend this home for couples or families - furry friends, all welcomed! A nice cozy loft in a clean home!

The room was clean, private, on another floor, dedicated ac, fridge, and a bunch of pillows. Very clean, there was also a tv with roku device. House was in a gated community. Off street parking. Fast food nearby.

Great location, love Goat Island and only a short walk to the restaurant! House was clean and had everything we needed! Enjoyed nice evenings and sunsets out on the dock! Host was quick to answer any questions and went above and beyond to meet all our needs!Will definitely be back!

This place is incredible! The moment you arrive there’s a sign that’s says relax and that exactly what we did. We flew in from Vegas for a wedding a across the lake. The house was nice and cozy. Felt good to have a nice quiet place to rest.

We loved the fish house . My teammates and I were in South Carolina for a fishing tournament and this house was perfect . This house is worth renting .

Off the beaten path. Quite area. We visited in February so it was a bit cold to enjoy the lake or the outdoors. The cabin was stocked well with everything you need from bed and bath to the kitchen. I'd like to come back to enjoy fishing on the lake this summer.

Nice and cozy house, great get a way place

When I first booked this location I thought it was on the water. I didn't realize it wasn't until I read more of the description. I thought my kids were going to be disappointed but, they weren't at all. It was a very cool home with some hidden features that the kids found really neat. It's close to the boat ramp and there's a small beach area available for the kids to play at. We'd love to stay here again during the summer

The fish house afforded a fantastic getaway for me, the amenities offer everything you need to have a home away from home. The lake is right across the street, and the property itself was unexpected - very private.

Ann is a wonderful host. Very welcoming and attentive. The house was clean and inviting and had all the basics needed. Honestly, her pictures don't do it justice. A really nice quiet place.

Ann, is, above all, a hospitable and dedicated host. She waited for me to arrive at 11:15 PM, but when I awoke in the morning to head to a fishing tournament the coffee was made, a cup was ready, and muffins were available. Ann was very comfortable in her home and neighborhood, which was amazing for me. I had thousands of dollars worth of fishing gear in my truck and my kayak, and I never once worried about theft. My room itself was spotless, made up, and had everything I required and more(a bottle of water on my nightstand, for instance). Ann was incredibly friendly, down to Earth, and could hold conversation well, but completely understood when I needed to leave early for my tournament. At first, I was nervous about staying in someone's home, but Ms. Ann remedied that. I look forward to hopefully staying there again next year. If you're looking for a very reasonably priced, well kept place to stay with an incredible host, stay here.

Ann was an absolutely gracious host! She was very accommodating and helped with anything my boyfriend and I needed. A great place to stop on your way through town or for a relaxing getaway! It’s very peaceful out here.

Lisa’s place was in a great location for our fishing trip. Plenty of room to park truck and boat next to the porch and recharge for the next days outing. Quiet spot and great view of the lake.

Lisa's place is very accurately pictured. The amenities were spot on and everything was tidy and clean. We did not feel we needed anything that was not there for our stay and Lisa has added some fun and clever touches. The view of lake is wonderful, sadly our weather was awful, so we did not get to explore the lake, but hope to on another trip.

What an awesome weekend! We chose Archie’s Lake Daze to celebrate our son’s 16th birthday with family, and we were not disappointed. Most importantly, our son was very impressed by the house and everything about it. The pinball machine, arcade game, and of course the lake right outside the door. Thank you Lisa for helping to make this a memorable birthday for Jackson!

This cottage is the perfect place for a getaway. It has absolutely anything you could possibly need, and was so neat and clean. The location is perfect, and we were able to get anywhere we needed to go in a short time, or just enjoy our day sitting on the dock by the lake. The scenery surrounding the cottage was absolutely beautiful, and it really made us want to come back. Also, Lisa was such a joy to communicate with, and answered any questions we had in a fast manner. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy vacation getaway!

If you want to get away from it all and you truly enjoy peace and quiet, this cabin is perfect. Kayak on the lake and just laying on the dock is surreal. Fays is the place for food. Lisa is a great host.

Great weekend getaway! I sat on the porch most of the time and my fiancee was on the dock fishing. We cooked dinners and enjoyed the peace!

The hosts were lovely and stayed up late to welcome me and help carry my bags in. They were super excited to meet my pets and ended up taking pictures with them! When I was leaving, they even made vegetarian sandwiches and sent me off with them and a handwritten note in a paper bag! Will definitely stay again when passing through the area. 12/10 stars!

What a lovely place to stay. My cat Bella & I stayed one night on our way back to Maine from Florida. This oasis is just a short distance from I 95. The house has been lovingly restored and decorated by Cony & Patrik. They are kind, generous & interesting folks. Bella had her own room & I had a great nights sleep in a very comfy bed. They shared leftovers from dinner when I arrived & sent me off after a breakfast of yogurt, homemade bread & jam.

Cony and Patrik are welcoming and friendly hosts, and their bnb is quite wonderful--comfortable and cozy. We enjoyed our stay and definitely plan to return!

Everything was as described and wonderful. Clean, private, a French European styled bedroom well appointed in a charming old house...although just a tad small, all the comforts of home. Beat the motel chains hands down...the hosts are readily available and friendly with interesting conversations. If we didn’t know any better, it’s as if we traveled to a European country home!

I travel quite a bit on business and generally prefer to stay in a Hilton or Marriott. As a business traveler, I enjoy the convenience and privacy of a hotel - but, lets be honest, it often lacks any real personality. I was very pleased with the Solitaire for a couple of reasons: the room is very private (with a private entrance and private bath - not shared with the house), the wifi worked well, and it was close to my client's business. On a personal level, Cony and Patrik are excellent hosts. We enjoyed good conversation and an evening drink. Breakfast consisted of homemade bread, butter, preserves, and good coffee. I would highly recommend a stay at the Solitaire and will be back soon!

Where do I begin, you will NOT be disappointed, you WILL be Spoiled, pampered and leave feeling like you just left family, the ones you like. Lol We agree with all the 5 Star comments from previous reviewers but we give them 10 stars. Dont miss this I95 gem.

Emily's home is fantastic. The house is spotless and the property is beautiful. If you're working at the Santee Cooper plant - look no further than Emily. It is about twice as close as you'll find ANY hotel, and just as cheap, without any of the nastiness the low-cost hotels bring. I cannot recommend her enough!

I normally only stay with superhosts, but I took a chance on Emily when I needed a last minute accommodation, and I'm so glad I did! I highly recommend Emily's place, and would stay there again! One thing I didn't expect and haven't experienced at other airbnbs is that Emily cleaned the room during my stay, like a hotel would. That was a bit of a (pleasant!) surprise.

Communication with Brian and Julie was easy. They were quick to respond if I had any questions and live close by if needed. There was plenty of space for the three couples that stayed and the backyard view is pretty. Red’s Place is close by and they have karaoke Friday’s and live band Saturday’s and a large assortment of food on the menu. We went both nights and enjoyed ourselves.

Amazing house and experience. We were there with 2 other couples and our 8 months old baby to spend Christmas. The rooms are great, the living room is amazing and huge, and the lake and kayaks were so much fun. Simon has everything organized neatly!

Really cool living room with high ceilings and nice set up. Pacman arcade was really cool. Great spot and spacious outdoors too.

We had a group of seven from ages 13 - 72 and had a fantastic time. The neighborhood was quiet, and the weather was just nice enough to enjoy being outside. The kayaks and fishing gear were great amenities. We watched the ospreys search for and catch fish ( lots of oohs and aahs). The kitchen and great room were very spacious which allowed us all to gather, cook, play board games, and watch TV. The king and queen bedrooms were spacious and comfortable but could have benefited from better sheets. The third bedroom downstairs was very tiny with a futon bed, and the coffee table had to be taken out for the futon to be made into a bed. There were no sheets for the futon; only comforters and pillows. One of the arcade games was also in this room and couldn’t be utilized by others when the occupants were sleeping. The upstairs room is a loft type space with two twin beds. It also had an arcade game in it, so again the game couldn’t be played when the occupants were sleeping. The floors in the lower level were very creaky and especially loud when most were sleeping. Overall, the space was conducive to what we were looking for. Simon was a wonderful host and extremely helpful when needed to resolve the temperature of the hot water on our first day. I would definitely recommend this house to others and depending on travel in the future, would stay here again.

This a very lovely home with all the amenities needed. Even kayaks to go into the lake. Just be aware this utilizes natural water, not purified. They also had games and Netflix. Overall, this is a perfect place to getaway and relax!

Nice house in a beautiful area. Very clean and well maintained. Steve was a great host and checked in on us several times during the week since Hurricane Dorian was bearing down on the Carolinas while we were there. Thankfully it only skirted us with some wind and rain. Unfortunately I didn't get to fish while I was there but watched the neighbor pull in fish after fish one morning. We'll be back!

This is an awesome house on the lake. The dock and canal access was perfect for our boat. Super easy to load up for a day on the water. The house is great, clean, and very comfortable! Lots of little extras that you normally would not expect. Steve is a great host and quick to reply. This was our 2nd stay and will return again.

My Family of five had an amazing experience. Short drive to breakfast every morning and is also near two public boat landings. House is spacious and well equipped for any type of cooking. Owner was extremely helpful!

Quite place to relax, especially if you are a fisherman. Real close to great fishing, caught many big catfish. SUPER. House was very clean and well equipped, with friendly neighbors. AC kept up well with some brutally hot weather we had. Our second visit and expect to return next year. Host was very responsive.

The house view is really beautiful near the Marion lake. Host Maria is so considerate and offer everything we need during the living. My coworker and I stayed nearly one month there and feel quite enjoyable. I hope to live there again if we visit Santee again!

They did a great renovation to make a stylish space. There are plenty of kitchen items to prepare and eat meals , I think I even saw a crock pot. The beds were very comfortable. It is a quiet area with grocery store and restaurants about 10 minutes away. It was myself and a coworker on this stay for work in Orangeburg, about 30 minutes away. The layout was wonderful with the two bedrooms being on opposite ends with the kitchen, livingroom and dining space in between so we felt like we had plenty of space and privacy. Noticed a nice size area in the back, a couple of children's bunk beds and a basket of toys, so it seems like it would be a great choice for a family coming down to vacation on the lake.

I came in town from out of state to do some work for an extensive period and this cute little lake house has been just perfect! It’s in a very quiet and peaceful area on the lake where I can come back from working and just relax in the house or go fishing just a few steps away. The house has been updated very nicely with lots of little touches from organic/natural soaps to even having toys and kitchenware for the kids! Absolutely love staying here, I am on my second month staying! Definitely hoping to continue my stay at this home throughout my time working here as it’s been such an enjoyable experience!

Great Lake front property. We took our 2 kiddos with us and the house had SO much to do for them. Books and toys, tree swing and sand pit. They had a blast! We also had fun. Guys fishing trip! First year at Nikki’s and boy did they come back with big stories, as well as BIG fish! Just what they wanted & are already preparing for next year! They were extremely happy with the comfort of the home, location, amenities, and easy check in/out process.

My family evacuated Wilmington, NC, during Hurricane Florence. We couldn't have found a better place to land than Madison's house. Three people and one dog all felt immediately at home in the updated and warm house. We managed to talk a few walks along Lake Marion before the weather set in. What a beautiful location! Madison couldn't have been any more responsive or accommodating. Thank you!

Emily is a great host more like a superhost!! She called me to make sure I was on the way and safe. She welcomed us with open arms to include a welcome sign and nice treats. I almost forgot to go visit my sister because we felt so comfortable at her house. I was under a lot of stress and I needed to decompress and her house offered us solitude!! She has 2 small dogs that we loved and offered to take care of because I had just lost my dog and her dogs filled in that void in my heart. I feel the Lord brought me to this angle to help heal my mind cause I was in pain and I really thank God for her. A stay here and you will definitely feel like family because we did and we definitely will be going back to visit our sister!!! Also she called to make sure we got home safe. Now that's family!!

A little heaven on earth!

I had stay with Emily for one month. One month which had change my mind about airbnb in a better way. Emily is a very nice person, very friendly and kind. She loves to keep the house clean and to keep a wonderful atmosphere. I definitely would like to stay again at her house.
