This is a small but comfortable place to sleep for a night or a week. The room is on the main level of the Lucky Dog Lodge which has a shared living room, kitchen and bathroom.
  • Wendy’s home was a treat on the road. Her thoughtful amenities and immaculate space allowed us to rest deeply and feel at home. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

    Grace2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy was absolutely incredible! She knocked it out of the park as far as hospitality goes - can't recommend this spot enough!

    Rachel2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely home and fantastic hospitality. Convenient to Great Sand Dunes National Park. Would definitely recommend!

  • Pleasantly surprised!! Quiet and peaceful! Wendy goes above and beyond!

  • You will really enjoy staying with Wendy. She is such a great host. So many extra special touches, and I’ve never seen such a clean home. And the bed was so comfortable. The lodge is just beautiful. She is helpful and knowledgeable about the area. You won’t be sorry if you stay with Wendy!

  • Wendy was an incredibly warm and gracious host. We felt at home immediately. She and her husband offered us wonderful suggestions for dinner locations as well as other recreational opportunities around Alamosa. The shared kitchen was very well stocked with breakfast and snack options. I would highly recommend Wendy's place when you are in the Alamosa area.

    Leah2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very gracious folks. Great accommodations. A true log cabin feel.

    Allan2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • My stay here was much better than I expected! The room was bigger than it looked in the pictures. Wendy also left extremely thoughtful touches in the room (snacks, water, extra toiletries) and there was a coffee maker in the room with creamer and sugar which was such a plus! Sometimes Air bnbs will have coffee but won’t think about folks that like to sweeten and lighten their coffee. The location is a quick 15 mins to downtown Alamosa and 15 mins to the Sand Dune pool, which I highly recommend! The sunrise in the morning was gorgeous with the mountains as a backdrop. Everything was excellent and I’d definitely stay again if I were in the area! This is a great stay if you are passing through or visiting the Sand Dunes National Park!

My home is located on spectacular Challenger Mountain. Crestone, Colorado is famous for it's mountain hiking, close proximity to Hot Springs, Great Sand Dunes National Park, Spiritual Retreats, UFO watching, Colorado Gator Farm. I named my home THE ENLIGHTENED NIGHT because I have built a Zen Garden in my backyard. I have placed solar lights in the trees that light up at night. It created a very mysterious and romantic ambiance. I also have a lighted pond/waterfall. https://youtu.be/TL9jCNh9D_M
  • Cozy room with a beautiful view out the big window! Beautiful back yard - wish we’d had time to enjoy it.

  • Cynthia's place was great! Our rooms were very clean and the house was easy to access. The ceiling lights weren't working during our visit, which made it a bit hard to navigate at night using the lamp light, but other than that everything was perfect. View from room is gorgeous

This small, rustic cabin has it all under one roof. A queen sized bed, kitchenette, wood burning stove and a small bathroom with a shower and stool. It is the perfect place to relax after a day of hiking up to Zapata Falls, climbing Mt Blanca or maybe a much needed upgrade from the hard bumpy ground of the local campsite. We'll be glad to supply coffee and some farm fresh eggs, but it's up to you to cook them up!
The well water in the valley is packed full of minerals. It is great for bathing but we drink bottled water (provided) and recommend you do the same. Also, the hot water heater works GREAT! Use caution because the hot water is extremely HOT!
The Lucky Little Dog is easy to find because it is just off Highway 17 but it is sheltered from any highway traffic (and noise) by the Lucky Dog Lodge. It is 7 miles North of Alamosa and it is a 14 minute drive to the San Luis Valley Regional Airport and 13 minutes to Adams State University. We are 7 miles South of the Sand Dunes access road and it takes about 25 minutes to drive to The Great Sand Dunes Park and Preserve.
  • Wendy is such a friendly and thoughtful host. She welcomed us as soon as we arrived and gave us a run down of the space. We loved that we could bring our dog with us too! We found the cabin perfect for relaxing after some time spent at the dunes. We even got to do some star gazing before bed :) We look forward to planning another trip to the area again and hopefully staying there.

    Whitney2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This space is perfect! I felt right at home. It has everything you need and more at an awesome location. It will make your trip 10x better

    Claudia2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is perfect for a home base to visit Alamosa and surrounds. Wendy is so nice and thoughtful with food items and tolietries and nice touches all around.

    Heidi2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy's cabin was much bigger than I expected and the perfect home away from home for my work trip. I loved having the kitchen table, which was perfect for meals and working. The whole space was so cute and comfortable and there were lots of thoughtful touches, snacks and everything you need for a stay. Wendy and her dogs are also very welcoming. Thank you Wendy for another lovely time!

    Jessie2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredible place! Tucked away off of the highway. So cozy and the stove fire kept us so warm. Everything was great. Would love to come back soon!

    Jon2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy was a wonderful host, very friendly and thoughtful. Everything about our trip went smoothly and we really appreciated being able to use the fire pit outside so we could see the stars. (Wonderful night skies out there!) We explored the Sand Dunes and some nearby hot springs, plus got a great dinner in Alamosa. The little kitchen had everything we needed to cook, which we did as well. It was a perfect location, well-kept, and well-stocked. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

    Lauren2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful time at the little dog cabin! I've stayed in almost a dozen places on my trip cross country and back, and this was the most comfortable and relaxed stay I've had thus far. Wendy was so friendly and accommodating and I was pleasantly surprised to be able to cook up an egg breakfast in the morning. She also recommended the Ruby Slipper in town for dinner and if you love a good burger, I second that suggestion.

    Danielle2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was incredible! Wendy was friendly, warm, and helpful. The space was clean, cute, and stocked with many amenities. I would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the sand dunes!

You (and your pets) will find serenity on the property with little sound besides distant dogs, nearby birds and the wind brushing through the trees. This is a certified dark sky area where you will see more stars than feels possible! Mostly, we want you to have a place to rest your head before venturing back into Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. We may not have much to offer by way of amenities, but you won’t find solace, comfort and beauty like this from the side of the highway!
You will find multiple outdoor seating areas that will allow you to view the dunes, Blanca Peak and Mt. Herard. You should expect to see deer, quail, owls, elk, turkeys, and possibly even coyotes as well. Inside you can rest with cozy blankets, natural light, heaters, and your choice of books to read or games to play. You will find your own private fire pit with perfect sunset views! We have old newspaper and will have a water jug to help put out the fire, but you will need to bring your own kindling and firewood. Remember, there is no smoking or partying on the property, and voices carry far over open spaces - so please be aware of noise levels. In the same area you have a charcoal grill and outdoor table! With a comfy queen bed, pull-out sofa bed and an incredibly comfortable cot, you and your friends can find a nice home during your visit. Got kids? We have books, coloring books and games if you find yourself indoors. Don’t worry, there are games and books for adults, too! With a cooler to store some groceries and an electric 2-burner stovetop, you can make meals or heat water for coffee and tea. The kitchenette is stocked with pots and pans, dishes and glasses, toaster and mini-waffle-iron, and - of course - coffee maker and French press. We have a water bowl and dog beds if you are bringing pets along (let us know so we can put them out!). Extra pillows, blankets, heater fan and lamps will keep you cozy as you rest for your impending adventures.
This is a private community only four miles from the Sand Dunes. You will be minutes from the National Park and only a short drive from multiple state park and wildlife protection areas. Alamosa is an easy 30 minute trip where you will find various restaurants, local breweries, coffee shops, the Rio Grande River and railroad, as well as any shopping you may need. Crestone is less than an hour away; Hooper hot springs and Colorado’s UFO Watchtower are only 30 minutes away! Our property backs up to BLM land which means no closeby neighbors besides deer. If you enjoy a morning stroll, the road continues about a half mile to a dead end, a walk that takes you past only nature toward the beautiful sand dunes and mountain views. If you want a memorable sunrise or sunset, you won’t have to go far!
  • Great spot. I loved the uniqueness of the location and setup. The communication was great, especially some tips on where to go to explore.

  • Wendy and her husband were wonderful hosts. The room had everything I needed after a long, late drive, from a cozy bed to yummy snacks. They also had a full spread of options for breakfast. Wish I could've stayed longer than the one night, but I'm sure I'll be back!

    Jaclyn2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Wendy's place is something magical. Set in the San Luis valley facing Mt. Blanca, it is a home surrounded by beauty. The home itself is so cozy and filled with every amenity you could possibly imagine. Wendy even made sure to stock the fridge with my favorite drink before I arrived. Her two pups are very sweet and loving, as is the general vibe of the house itself. The hospitality was outstanding and went above and beyond my expectations. Wendy's space is truly a gem not to be missed!

Relax country style in our rustic log home. View a million stars by the fire pit. Whether you are here to explore the Great Sand Dunes or hike Mt Blanca (14,345') or just want to stay a night on your way to another destination, we think kicking off your boots in our unique home will be a memorable experience. If you like clean sheets and comfortable beds this is the place for you.
Guests will have exclusive use of the entire upper level of the lodge to include a very large bedroom, 15'X30', which easily sleeps 4, a private full bathroom and a spacious loft complete with Direct TV, Netflix and queen sized sofa sleeper or an air mattress if that’s the preference. There is a shared kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a wood stove on the main level of our home.
We are conveniently located along a 2 lane highway. The large logs which were used to construct our home keep it well insulated from noise and extreme temperatures.
  • Bob and Wendy were terrific hosts! They went above and beyond to welcome us and opened their beautiful home to us and made us feel at home! The room was amazing and the house was amazing! I would highly recommend this wonderful home and host!

    Hamp2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The room was amazingly clean, and Wendy has thought of everything when it comes to comfort! There's a fridge and a coffee pot in the room (which is great if you don't want to wake anyone up!) and any of those items that you may have forgotten, and maybe even some you didn't know you needed. She made sure that there was a pack and play and a clean crib sheet for our five month old son set up and waiting for us when we arrived. She and her husband are very sweet people, and their dogs are pretty sweet, too! We highly recommend this place, and will probably stay there again if we're in the area!

  • Wendy's home is beautiful, warm, quiet and cozy. It's less than ten minutes from Alamosa and was the perfect retreat while I was traveling for work. I wanted my own bathroom and chose to stay in the upstairs loft, which had a mini fridge and a coffee maker. The stars at night were beautiful and I would love to stay again.

    Jessie2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • One of THE BEST Airbnb experiences I have ever had. I have stayed at many amazing Airbnb’s before but Wendy’s place was just incredible. Wendy is one of the kindest and most amazing people I have ever met. I’m so glad I got stay at this beautiful cabin with gorgeous views. Elsa and Baxter (doggies) were so well behaved. Overall, a beautiful, clean, really spacious, cute cabin which is 10-15 mins from downtown/major attractions. Wendy’s hospitality was something special-from hot chocolate when I arrived, to snacks in the room, to an amazing dinner- just an awesome experience. She made sure I was well settled for the night. I truly did not want to leave her place. I really cannot wait to come back !

  • A beautiful/unique home, incredibly welcoming hosts, and a good location if you want to visit the sand dunes or the reptile park. Such a cozy place to stay on a cold weekend!

    Rae2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first Airbnb experience, so we were not quite sure what to expect. Wendy met us at the lodge and welcomed us, and she was the perfect hostess. Our daughter loved the healthy snack options and immediately raided the basket! I forgot my toothbrush, and we were going to run out and get one, and you left a brand new one in the basket! We had some questions on the local restaurants and Wendy didn't hesitate to help us out! A great experience, and highly recommended!

Stay overnight in your own cute cottage. Right in the heart of downtown Alamosa, close to shopping, restaurants, and more. Make Alamosa your basecamp for visiting the Great Sand Dunes or riding the Rio Grande Scenic Railroad. The single bedroom has a comfy queen bed and the living room has a futon that could sleep two children or one adult. Make your own meals when you bring your own food to the kitchen fully stocked with cookware, plates, and utensils.
The cottage is small, but cozy. A perfect size for couples or families with small children. Bathroom is good - sized and recently remodeled. The kitchen is perfect for cooking any meal. For the warmer months during the summer there is an evaporative air cooler available.
  • This place was a perfect size for 3-4 people. It was perfectly clean with excellent amenities: kitchen with all necessary machines, utensils, plates, coffee maker, etc. The bathroom was very clean. The bedroom was super comfy and cute, and there was even extra blankets, comforters, and pillows! Plus it’s right around the corner from Main Street/downtown! Roughly 35 minutes from the Dunes, as well.

My place is close to Downtown, Cole park, running trails, Adams State University, restaurants and dining . You’ll love my place because of the coziness and the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and furry friends (pets).
  • Great spot! Location, privacy, overall comfort. Laura is about the sweetest host I’ve encountered, and I’ve met a lot! She was very welcoming right from the get-go. Her responses were super quick, and she was super flexible in regards to our late arrival. What a great stay and host. Laura is a super host for a reason.

  • This is such a sweet and cozy place to stay! The pictures don’t do it justice. We had the whole loft upstairs with a private bathroom. There is a little sitting area in the loft too where my husband was able to read and get some work done. We were traveling from Denver to Taos and stayed in Alamosa on our way after visiting the sand dunes. We had our one year old son with us and we had plenty of space for his pack n play. Laura graciously provided us with a baby gate too. The location is fantastic! Walking distance to many restaurants and coffee shops. We would stay here again! Great value too!

  • Laura is super friendly and very quick to respond which is nice when you are traveling a lot. The space is great and just outside the sand dunes. We really enjoyed the area and her place.

  • 10/10. Do it! We went to Great Sand Dunes and Zapata Falls from here the first day. The next we did a hike in town and then went to the hot springs. It was gorgeous in mid March and unforgettable. There are showers near the great sand dunes and hot springs and great food stops in Crestone.

  • Second time staying at the Bluebird Ranchito and it was just as amazing as before. It was in the 50s during the day and dropped down to the low 30s at night, even without the wood burning furnace, the Ranchito stayed warm! Beautiful view walking out of the Ranchito and seeing the mountains. Crestone is a great little community nestled in the mountains. We ended up driving the hour to the Sand Dunes and spending the day there. Great hospitality and will definitely go back again!

    Josh2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Posey was so hospitable and this stay was so relaxing. The wood stove was so charming and kept us warm all night. There is plenty of firewood and kindling provided. Water coolers were also provided as well. If you want a quiet, relaxing, and peaceful stay you should book here.

    Hailee2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing place I have never loved an airbnb so much. Stars at night are also incredible.

    Soren2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The shabin was just what we needed for a weekend get away to the San Luis Valley. We slept great and were so comfortable. Posey was a great and welcoming host! And what a beautiful view of the Sangres!

    Rolf2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Staying at Posey's place has a way of reminding you how beautiful and simple the world can be. Even in late December we stayed warm with just a small fire. Plenty of wood and water was provided for our stay and the set up was perfect for relaxing and connecting. We want to come back in the summer to get more use of the tipi and kick back under the incredible stars for a longer time. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!

    Allison2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a good time in the guest house and tepee. It happened to be really cold at night, so it was little difficult to sleep but we had the oven on all night so it was bearable. Posey and her husband were so kind and accommodating during our stay. We would definitely come back in the summer!

    Bria2019-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Cute artsy cabin that has a nice fire place. We stayed here in November with our dog and we were very warm. A little difficult to find in the dark but thats okay because the night sky was incredible. It was a quick overnight trip so we didn’t not get to use any of the amenities or tipi but it worked for what we needed. The best part was using the outhouse in the dark with snow in my face :) very rustic, I loved it!!

Crestone offers a small town with diverse community of New-Agers, artists and outdoor enthusiasts. Experiments in alternative architecture complement the downtown art galleries that display local works ranging from wood creations to Tibetan arts. hiking, mountain climbing and many retreat/spiritual centers. The property backs onto Spanish Creek with trails, and is 1 mile from Dharma Ocean Blazing Mountain Retreat Center, 6 miles from town in the Baca subdivision.
This is an upstairs studio apartment (Lots of steps) ceiling fan and additional fan in loft it has a private entrance is a separate living space. It is located at about 7500feet in the Sangre de Cristo mountain Mountains with lovely views and small outside porch, in a Pinion forests about 6 miles from town. A local NativeAmerican said it is sacred ground and know to his people as Crystal mountain. The energy is very clam and peaceful. The apartment has a living room with a wood stove, full kitchen, full bath with soaker tub, a sleeping loft with a queen bed, living room has a queen murphy bed, and a single couch/day bed.
This is an area that is know as Chalet II, which means we have water service and electric service. As is true with most of my neighbors we have alternative energy at work as well. This house runs on solar, heat, hot water, and electric. We all help one another out when we can. It is also 1 mile from Dharma Ocean Blazing Mountain Retreat Center.
  • The Best night of sleep, the bed was sooo comfy! And the views from the bed are beautiful...we had the most amazing night of sleep, the bed was very comfortable. We loved hearing the Coyotes/ Wolves howling at night and the Jack rabbits hoping around in the morning. The views from the space are truly lovely. The accommodations have everything you’d need and is very clean and fun space.

    Lauren2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • My stay in Susan's apartment was really wonderful. I stayed in LilyRey Loft for 2 weeks for a personal meditation retreat. I didn't leave except to go for a walk, and had nothing but quiet (the water runs a lot throughout the day in relation to a drain-back solar water system, but that didn't bother me - I like the sound of water) I took long, quiet walks with spectacular views. I had a lot of privacy, and the views from every window were just amazing. The kitchen and bathroom fixtures are very nice, especially the soaker tub which I used a lot. Susan was very pleasant, offering anything I might need that I didn't have; I didn't need anything because it was perfect!

    Vera2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's place was wonderful! Cozy and in a beautiful location. We enjoyed our stay in Crestone!

    Ethan2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's place is exactly what you want in an Airbnb: privacy, space, cleanliness, and amenities. She had a shower, wifi, and an amazing kitchen. The loft was exactly what we needed. The views from the deck were stunning and unimaginable. I will definitely be back and would recommend anyone else as well.

    Zachary2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Susan is very sweet and surprised us with banana bred, her home is very warm and clean. The bed in the loft was very comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

This unique, private yurt, is nestled in the Rocky Mountains. The views and wildlife are absolutely breathtaking. Offering all the amenities, with a touch of glamping. Warm and cozy. A great location for staying in with a glass of wine by the fire, or heading out to the many hot springs or ski resorts. Quiet and peaceful, located near spiritual centers and National Forest trailheads. The town of Crestone, 5 miles away, offers shopping and restaurant options. Rejuvenating!
The yurt has some rustic, mountain aspects.... first ... there's no plumbing within the yurt. A bath house, 20 steps away offers a private, modern, solution. Water is easily carried into the yurt kitchen using one of the glass jugs provided. Also a full kitchen sink and counter space are available in bathhouse making kitchen clean up simple, very easy, very private. second... is that the bedrooms are quite tiny, 4 guests in the yurt will be cozy. third heating with the wood stove may not be suitable for toddlers.
Amazing location. Views and walking is awesome.
  • Charming comfy cozy beautiful yurt mountain experience! Host Ruby makes your stay so nice, including outdoor light sensors timed perfectly for going in and out of the yurt and bathhouse! The Crestone town is cute, artsy, interesting. Incredible mountain views right from the yurt and through the area. Sand Dunes, Greenhouse hot spring pools in Hooper, etc are awesome but a good drive away - normal for these huge undeveloped mountain areas. Staying in Ruby’s Yurt is a really fun experience, you won’t be disappointed.

    Leola2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Ruby surpassed all expectations. We expected a bit of roughing it, but with Ruby's personal touches and experience with yurt living - it was more comparable to a 5 star fully equipped private camping hotel - we needed for nothing...

    Beverly2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Such a nice, quaint space. About an hour out from the sand dunes. The fire keeps you nice and warm even though there’s no heat. Perfect compromise between camping and staying in a cabin.

    Abbie2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a sweet place if you want to get rustic , we enjoyed the fire and a fresh air outside . Ruby was very helpful, she made the yurt warm prior to our arrival .

  • This place is exactly as listed. Sparkling clean, great location, comfortable, well-stocked, and super peaceful. You share the lot with one other home about 25 yards away, but we never felt like anyone was around. Deer wandered in and out of the yard constantly, and the wood burning stove is just wonderful. If we come back to Crestone, we’ll certainly be staying here.

  • This place has the most comfortable beds! It located off the beaten path and really secluded as we has wanted. If you want to feel disconnected, this is a great space. There's everything you may need but be sure to bring food and entertainment with you.

  • This cabin worked perfectly for our group. There were three separate bedrooms for various sleeping arrangements. The open kitchen/living room was nicely sized for our group to share simple meals and sit and talk. Of course it is nice and quiet out in the middle of the San Luis Valley. You have to drive a couple miles on a dirt road to get there, but it is a well-graded surface.

  • Signe was a charming lady. A very quiet, calm nature to her home. Will stay again.

    Chris2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful experience! Signe's house was beautiful, spacious, and extremely clean. She has a lovely, welcoming energy, and I enjoyed our conversations. There were plenty of local maps and guides to help guests explore the area. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and supported in her space. Signe is also a wonderful cook; I enjoyed two dinners on the balcony (Crestone sunsets are incredible.) The house is located close to several local spiritual centers (I attended a guided meditation one morning at the Vajra Vidya Retreat Center). Crestone is about a 15-minute drive away. It's small but charming. A quick note: the mosquitos are out and VERY hungry right now. Bring extra bug spray or be prepared to buy a bottle! Thank you, Signe. I look forward to my next visit!

Comfortable and located in a quiet spot in town, the front entry is yours, kitchen and bath, two bedrooms can join through the large closet or remain private.
It’s my goal to provide you with a safe, clean and comfortable a stay as possible. This home is 100 yrs old. Deer and foxes come by regularly. The river is close and can be heard when it swells in the spring.
The neighborhood has no official historic designation but could. This house was started in 1919, and since then has had only three owners. The old schoolhouse (last operating in the 1930’s) is across the street. Five log cabins each over 100 yrs old and largely unrestored are nearby. There is virtually no traffic in spite of being so close to downtown. Nice and quiet.
  • Great location in Crestone. I highly recommend staying here.

  • This little home was absolutely perfect and the ideal location. It is so close to the Great Sand Dunes, San Luis Lake, National Wildlife Reserve, and so much more. Ana's place was SUPER clean and had absolutely everything we needed. If we come to this area again we will definitely rent this place again! Ana is extremely prompt in responding and even allowed us to do early check-in.

    Melissa2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little place in good location in Alamosa. Very clean and with a well-equipped kitchen, a small, but functional bathroom with all the basics and more and the bed arrangement allowed for comfortable sleeping for a couple, and 2 other adults. The back yard was lovely, especially with some of the first spring weather. We had a lovely stay, and the location was perfect for a visit to the Monte Vista National Wildlife Refuge where we saw plenty of the Sand Hill Cranes we came down for!

    Inke2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Ana's place was very cute, comfortable, clean. The location was awesome, close to all the restaurants, easy to find. Ana was very easy to communicate with, quick response via texts. We would definitely recomend staying at Ana's house if you come to Alamosa, Colorado. We would definitely come again.

  • I stayed at Ana's house for a work trip and it was the perfect place our team of four. Ana is very responsive, the house is so cozy, and the neighborhood is centrally located. We were able to walk to Milagros Cafe from Ana's house. Ana's house is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend Ana's place!

    Sallie2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great location in central Alamosa. There is a Safeway and Walgreens just a block away if you forget any essentials. The house is well decorated and comfortable. The backyard would be very useful in the summer. Ana is a great host.

This listing is for the Mothership Dome only It includes a large beautiful open space with multiple sleeping arrangements, a kitchen, a separate bedroom downstairs and bathroom For larger groups see our other listing which includes both the Mothership and Moon Shuttle domes!
This place is perfect for a little get away and to recharge your energy in nature. The property and landscape are just breathtaking... We do our best to keep a clean, high vibration space!
The Star Temples of Crestopolis are a trinity of dome structures connected by a catwalk (with a garden terraced amphitheater) between the sacred mountains of Sangre de Cristo (Blood of Christ) Range and Great Sand Dunes National Park in the San Luis Valley of southwest Colorado. Experience the mystical high desert of the “Shambala of the Rockies” at an altitude of over 7,000 feet with epic stargazing of the Milky Way galaxy, where thousands have sought pilgrimage to this remote spiritual mecca. Among these seekers were the native tribes who gathered together in the otherworldly plains of the San Luis Valley specifically to create peace and healing. Unplug and rejuvenate in our dreamy domes, surrounded by the undulating peaks and meditative silence of the majestic grounds. Wander onto a pine-scented hike with wild deer on the nearby trails. Not only soak in the illuminated night skies of jeweled constellations but also the hot springs and healing vibes of Crestone’s 24 diverse spiritual centers - Zen centers, temples, monasteries, ashrams, shrines, and labyrinths. You can see the Star Temples in the valley from across the Tashi Gomang Stupa that’s perched on the mountain foothills, where most of the spiritual sites are located. We are also just a 12 to 15 minute drive from the town of Crestone which has grocery store, health store, pizzeria, brewery, post office and other cute small town fair

The kitchen was pretty well stocked with everything we needed to cook. The space and property were beautiful. There was also a wonderful masseuse very nearby who we saw. Overall a wonderful experience and we would definitely recommend this space to others.

  • If you are looking for a reboot/reset/relax, book Signe's now! She rents out a few rooms in the top of her home to guests. My bf and I booked the room with a king bed in it. No one else had booked the other rooms so it was just us and Signe, whom stayed in a room up there as well. The kitchen area and fire stove are so homey and the patio is a perfect spot to watch the sunset! There is NO noise whatsoever at this place. I can't remember when I last heard quiet like that. Signe was very gracious and hospitable. Thank you, Signe for creating such a gem of a place!

    Kelly2019-10-13T00:00:00Z

My place is close to the Shumei Institute, the Vajra Vidya Monastery, The Dharma Ocean, The Ziggurat and the far Stupa as well as the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Nearby town of Crestone offers restaurants. My place is great for solo adventurers, business travelers, hikers and photographers. The earthship is light and airy with curved walls and a very pleasant cozy feeling. Sunny and lots of plants. Seven skylights add to the feeling of being close to nature.
Sitting below 14,000 foot peaks, under Music Mountain in the Sangre de Cristo mountains. One small room with a twin bed ... but other are spaces available if you bring your own air mattress (like the deck under the Milky Way!). Share the rest of the house with myself. Two female cats are here, old sweet sisters. Ample parking. In the summer there are hummingbirds.
The mountains rise directly behind the home, and Cottonwood Creek is just to the North. Very beautiful surroundings. Lots of hiking nearby. Close by trips include the Ziggurat, the Great Sand Dunes and nearby hot springs. Enjoy !

  • If I could give value and location more stars I would. I was seeking peace, quiet, and rest and I got it! The views are breath taking and you get one of the best views of the Crestone Needle from your room!! You are far away from civilization so it's very quiet and on clear nights some awesome sky views. My 2 day stay left me wanting to extend my stay and quitting my job lol will be back.

    Hugo2019-07-17T00:00:00Z

  • Heather and Dawn provided such a lovely space for us to rest and enjoy the beautiful Colorado desert. The neighborhood is nestled in between the rocky mountains, and is such a great spot to enjoy nature, not far from got springs and the Great Sand Dunes National park. They provide a full kitchen, games and books to inform and entertain you, and their property is beautiful! Definitely recommended this spot if you are wanting to get off the beaten track and find some solace.

  • Heather and Dawn’s place is really cool! It’s a few miles from Crestone, so if you’re staying in winter be prepared for some snow packed roads. I did not meet Heather and Dawn, but their communication was clear, direct, and timely. The space was very clean and organized with a fun selection of books to peruse.

  • Heather and Dawn really have created a great space ideally located for time quiet and close to great walks. Bear is an awesome dog. We really relaxed and cooked a lot in the space, which is well provided. Very good hosts, genuine, chill and very quick in responses. Slept very well. Beautiful place to watch the sun go down. So glad we decided to stay in Crestone 2 more nights, this place really made a big difference in how much we liked spending time in the mountains (and quiet) Highly recommend. Thank you!

  • It was a decompressing delight to walk around this beautiful space, meet Dawn and Heather’s adorable animals, and breathe in that magic air! Heather made it a point to check in with me and kindly gave me convenient directions to places I wanted to visit. The stars will astound you. The little touches will put a smile on your face. A warm room and bed and hot shower was all I needed after a long drive and some exploring... and their dome house delivered! Don’t be a doofus like me: they have a small half circle space to easily park so find the immediate *second* driveway and enter there! (I drove down from Denver in January in a dinky Hyundai with ne’er even a snow tire and was *mildly* trapped at the bottom of their path but there was enough traction to get out!) Even with rearranging their gravel, they were empathetic and hospitable. Thanks again!

Cottonwood Creek swirls along the banks of our beautiful 20 acre estate surrounded by absolutely breathtaking scenery. Our home is off grid and totally Solar, the bedrooms are cozy and comfortable and the home is luxurious with the best amenities.
The guest bedroom is an octagon sunroom with plenty of light and has spectacular mountain vistas, very quiet and calming. The queen size bed has memory foam for extra comfort for a good night sleep, the pillows and comforter are made of soft high quality down for extra warmth. Top it off with fresh cotton sheets.
We are situated on 20 acres of private land with large Aspen Trees surrounding our beautiful custom built home. A large wooden deck with chaise lounges and laid back chairs wrap around the Northest side of the house which faces the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, a picturesque scene with four majestic fourteen thousand foot peaks, often covered in snow during the Spring and Fall. Cottonwood Creek meanders through the property which gives our land a very tranquil calmness. The scenery around the house is truly magnificent!
  • Gordon and Chi Chi's house was amazing! We had a lovely stay in a beautiful dome room that overlooked the mountains. They were so hospitable, cooking us a beautiful breakfast and making sure we were hydrated and comfortable. We loved getting to know them over breakfast and play with their adorable, hypoallergenic dog. The surrounding area is stunning and this is great place to stay if you're headed to the dunes or any of the nearby springs or other hiking options. Overall, this is one of the airbnb's that makes you grateful for that this company exists and I'd love to stay here again one day.

  • If you’re looking for peace, quiet and serenity, this is the place for you. I’ve never seen the Milky Way in all it’s grandeur like I saw it at Gordon and Chi-Chi’s home.
