  • This was a lovely little cottage. Beautiful and clean and even decorated tastefully for Christmas. The children loved that they had to climb a ladder to go to bed and said that the beds were 'well comfy'. We loved our stay and would highly recommend and would love to stay again maybe when the weather is better.

Owl's Nest is our cosy, yet light and airy annex. We are nestled in the heart of farming country on the wildly beautiful St Davids peninsula. The cottage is ideal for couples or young families. It has a comfortable double room and a snuggly bunk room. The kitchen-diner is fully equipped and an uplifting space in which to enjoy breakfast together before you head out. The bathroom is a perfect warm space to wash off the sand before relaxing over supper and getting cosy in front of the log burner.
We provide a complimentary welcome pack including home-made cake, tea, coffee, milk and sugar, as well as bread, butter and a preserve. We can lend you a folding cot, high chair, bed guard or stairgate at no extra cost. Please ask in advance. We do ask you to bring your own baby bedding and reins. Owl's Nest is the first step along the way to converting more outbuildings to create further holiday cottages, including a single storey, two-bedroomed, fully accessible unit with wide-ranging views to the West . Consequently, although there is no building work happening at the moment, we are sorry that we cannot yet offer you dedicated outside space to sit or play. It is a priority for us to try to get this ready by late summer. In the meantime, you may share our space at the front of the cottage, but children and pets need to be supervised at all times.
Make the most of our proximity to the Pembrokeshire Coast path. A short drive will take you to visit blue flag beaches, castles, hills, forests or animal parks. Enjoy peace and quiet with huge, starry skies. Make the most of the slower pace of life. Visit the farmers' markets and wonderful restaurants. Rediscover the joys of rock-pooling. Re-charge by walking the coast and drinking in the fresh sea air and the wildly beautiful vistas. We may be able to help you with a lift to the start or finish of your walk.

The Watch Cottage is a romantic bolthole, perfect for accessing the Pembrokeshire coast path or as a writer’s retreat One of Pembrokeshire's most iconic cottages - grade two listed, over three hundred years old - and beloved by many artists, including John Knapp-Fisher. Up a secret lane, with 180 degree sea views & secluded garden. Two wood burners, beams, exposed walls, vintage furniture. Near Llanrhian & Porthgain. The visitors book is bursting with love for this unique cottage.
The Watch Cottage is one of North Pembrokeshire's most iconic cottages - single storey with a traditional cement washed roof. It's perfect for one or two adults. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Babies too, but you'll need to supply their beds etc. Part of its beauty lies in its tiny size - one double bedroom, with Woodburner, a cosy living room with traditional chimney fawr (inglenook fireplace), a galley kitchen and a small shower room. There are overnight storage heaters, but lighting the fires is the way to make this cottage the cosiest place ever. The bedroom has one double bed with all linen provided. The living room has a two seater sofa, a leather armchair, dining table and two chairs. The shower-room has a shower, toilet, wall heater and small basin. The well-equipped galley-kitchen has an electric fan oven, separate electric hob & sink. If you can’t live without central heating and tv - and don’t like lighting fires, this is not the cottage for you.
The cottage is located about 6 miles from St David's, just outside the village of Llanrhian and five minutes drive to the popular historic harbour of Porthgain. Overlooking the world renowned Pembrokeshire coast path and within the Pembrokeshire National Park. Close to some of the most beautiful beaches in the area. Great restaurants including The Shed at Porthgain. Pembrokeshire has been voted BBC Countryfile's favourite UK holiday destination.
  • Such a cute place and with a great atmosphere. Cosy with the two stoves lit, clean and very well kitted out. Best/cleanest pans we've come across in holiday rentals, even the frying pan still had it's non-stick coating intact! The bed was amazingly comfortable and the peace and quiet was a dream. Very friendly and helpful host too. Thank you Alexandra

    Emma2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a real gem, beautifully isolated yet only 30 mins walk to the coast. The cottage is small but really well thought out, everything you need and the stoves in both the sitting room and bedroom are a real treat during the colder months. We have just sat out storm Dennis and it was very cosy to be hunkered down in the Watch House in between the worst of the weather. Thank you Alexandra

  • A truly amazing place, unbelievable cosy! We had the most amazing time at this lovely authentic Welsh cottage. Near to the amazing Pembrokeshire coastline, we had wonderful walks and great food and drink experiences all on foot. The stove is a thing of wonder and bathed us in warmth and loveliness even though the storm was howling outside. Just loved it, brilliantly run and organised. Cant fault it .!!

  • A glorious location for a retreat to Pembrokeshire. Excellent weather meant I was out most of the time but it was a delightful place to return to, and gave the requisite space to clear the head. Near to an excellent stretch of the coastal path too.

  • Wonderful stay in a beautiful location. Perfect relaxation.

    Kim2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Deb’s beautiful cottage! It is even more gorgeous than the photos, such a calming place to be. We were there on a very wet & stormy weekend and it was super cosy & comfortable. We ordered a breakfast hamper for Saturday, very worthwhile even if it is purely for the eggs - I swear they helped make the best Eggs Benedict I have ever tasted! We went to The Shed in Porthgain for dinner on Friday night & loved it so much we went back on Sunday before we left! For walks I would recommend Strumble Head - stunning views and, when we were there, no one to disturb the peace! You will not be disappointed booking Deb’s place! Thank you very much for a wonderful stay 😊

    Lucinda2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • What a fantastic place. The pictures of The Old Stable are great however when the sun is shining on the sea as your sat in the living room looking out the view really is something to behold. Deb was great in communication throughout, the place was sparkling clean and well designed. We loved our stay and hope to return someday!

    Michael2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful place, perfect for a quiet get away. The stable had everything you could possibly need, from kitchen utensils to heating equipment. Host's were easy to contact and always available if needed. Perfect location with the blue lagoon a short walk away. We will be back!

Our comfortable and contemporary log cabin is in the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park, minutes from the coastal path and a short walk to a secluded, sandy beach. Porthgain harbour with its award winning bistro (The Shed) and the characterful Sloop Inn is a five minute footpath walk away. Only 15 minutes drive is the UK's smallest city St David's with it's magnificent cathedral and an array of cafes, restaurants, shops and art galleries. The area hosts numerous outdoor activities.
Guests will be the sole residents at the cabin for the period of their stay.
The Cabin is situated on a landscaped park of 18 lodges.
  • Loved staying at Hester’s cabin. Very cosy, bright, well thought out living area and lots of space outside to play...ideal for our family. Easy walk to Porthgain, where there are some good eating options, and close proximity to coastal path...would recommend the local beach which you can access from the coastal path. Also very close to Whitesands which is a great beach to go bodyboarding/surfing. Would also recommend a visit to the Bug Farm.

    Daniel2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay here. The photos do not do it justice, the cabin is beautiful. It was incredibly clean and really spacious. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The kids (age 5 and 3) enjoyed playing with the toys there. It was easy to find and in a great location. Hester’s directions were perfect. It’s really quiet and surrounded by farmland, I think it’s a dairy farm. The kids loved the cows and the tractors. Quick walk through the fields to Porthgain for dinner or a walk on the cliffs, plus there’s a beach a mile away that’s inaccessible by car so we pretty much had it to ourselves. We loved that there was a windbreak and a bodyboard and some buckets and spades that we could borrow from the cabin! Tesco deliver there so we ordered food to meet us there on arrival and we ate at both the Shed and the Sloop (walking distance) and both were delicious. The Sloop have a selection of board games which my kids loved. We also did a boat trip around Ramsey Island, went to Folly Farm (actually a zoo and massive indoor playground as well as a farm!) and on the only rainy day we had we went to the Blue Lagoon water park (like the pool at Centre Parcs except even better!) Whitesands beach was only 15 mins drive away and was beautiful and had a cafe and wetsuit hire etc. We had a fantastic holiday and would return in a heartbeat!

    Jenny2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great secluded and quiet location with an easy walk to Porthgain for best Fish and Chips in UK or short drive to many beaches and St Davids. Cabin had everything we wanted and our children loved staying there for the week. Would highly recommend this.

    Alex2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • We have just had a wonderful stay in this lovely cabin. Sparklingly clean and nicely decorated with everything you need for a comfortable holiday. The location is perfect, walking distance to Porthgain and close to St David’s and the coastal paths. Can’t wait to visit again.

    Sally2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • The location of this lodge could not be better. The walk to Porthgain is pretty and takes about 10 minutes. It is a very picturesque place. We particularly liked The Sloop Inn - the food was good and reasonably priced and the atmosphere was great. On two of the days there were singers and Morris dancers too. The Shed does good fish and chips. The lodge feels very private, as all lodges on the site have shrubs and so on around them, so you can’t be overlooked inside the place. The back deck is nice too - early mornings were lovely - lots of bird song. Otherwise it is very quiet. The living area is very spacious and comfortable and opens out to the back deck. The bedrooms have blackout blinds. Highly recommended.

    Carol2019-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay, the lodge was sparklingly clean, very modern look inside, comfy beds, blackout blinds and we had everything we could possibly need. Great little shortcut to Porthgain across a field to reach the pub, restaurant and coastal path plus a bus stop to take you along the coast so you can walk back! Great accommodation, great location, I would highly recommend it!

    Sarah2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a perfect base for a family holiday. It is spotlessly clean, has everything you need and is in s fabulous quiet site a few minutes walk from the pub. Perfect.

The cottage is close to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path with its beautiful beaches and rocky coves, family-friendly activities, and public transport. You’ll love it for the comfy bedrooms, the kitchen, the wood burning stove, the enclosed sunny courtyard leading into the garden, the cosiness and the friendly village nearby with a pub serving good food. The cottage is especially suitable for families with kids and pets, hikers, and couples. PLEASE DON'T USE INSTANT BOOKING - CONTACT ME FIRST.
There is a separate dining room which allows the kids to play games away from the adults. Also the enclosed sunny courtyard is a safe place for young children or dogs. PLEASE NOTE we can supply TOWELS but they are an EXTRA £3 EACH payable in cash to Alison the caretaker when you leave.
The Pembrokeshire coast line is one of the most beautiful in the world with beautiful wildflowers in the spring, and seal pups can be seen in October in the coves just along from the village. There are good places to eat both in the village and nearby, whilst those interested in culture can visit the cathedral city of St Davids. Children love to visit the water park at Bluestone or the trampolines at Hangar 5 near Haverfordwest.

  • If you want a historic cottage that looks small but actually fits in 3 couples or a larger family then this is perfect. We went as a couple plus dog, so the lovely large enclosed and safe garden was excellent for us, and would also be good for kids. The house is very well equipped, especially the modern kitchen. Location is very good for access to the coast path, leading to some fantastic beaches, and you have pub and cafe two minutes walk away. Rupert replied promptly to any questions, too. All in all a great success!

Ty Gwyn is accessed by its own lane and is surrounded by farmland with easy access to a rocky beach (Aberfelin). The Pembrokeshire coastpath is less than 5 minutes walk away ! Two well behaved dogs are welcome however they MUST NOT be allowed upstairs, (use our stair gate if necessary), or on the furniture. Please be aware that there may be sheep in nearby fields so you must keep them under control. We would also request that they are not left in the cottage on their own. Please also be aware that there is a low ceiling in one side of the bedroom and on the stairs.
Trefin is a quiet village between St Davids and Fishguard with a pub, "The Ship Inn" and a cafe "The Mill". Nearby in Porthgain there is a popular pub called "The Sloop Inn" and an excellent fish bistro - "The Shed". Our nearest shop/off licence/ newsagents is in the garage at The Square and Compass which is around 5 minutes drive away. A small supermarket and shops are in St Davids and Fishguard. Haverfordwest is 30 mins drive away and has larger supermarkets and stores. St Davids with its beautiful cathedral and Bishops palace is around 15 minutes by car. The cottage is located within the Pembrokeshire coast national park famous for its beaches and wildlife. You can reach the coastal path in less than 5 minutes from the cottage.
  • A week of pure bliss. The perfect little cottage in the perfect location. Really well equipped and great communication from the host. Thoroughly recommend.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Ty Gwyn. Despite being a chilly and stormy February, the lovely woodburning stove and Penny's thoughtful addition of beautiful Welsh blankets made our stay super cosy. Penny's place has fantastic views, and feels remote and away from it all despite being a short walk from the village. It's super close to the coast path, and we had excellent food at both The Shed at Porthgain and the Grove in St David's, after long walks along the cliffs. Penny is an excellent host.

    Jeanie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Loved Penny & Darren’s cottage, excellent location off the beaten track, with so much to see and do nearby. Penny really spoils you with an amazing welcome pack, so nice to arrive to, inside a wonderfully decorated and furnished cosy cottage. Little too windy to enjoy coffee in the garden this time but hope to be back!

  • This is a most wonderful place. Its location is superb: away from other houses, yet not too far from amenities. Inside, it is very cosy and stylish and the attention to detail is great. Everything speaks of quality and there is everything you need for a great time away. We stayed here in the middle of winter and it was very welcoming and comfy. The area is beautiful with plenty of rugged landscapes to explore as well as small villages and towns. We recommend wholeheartedly. Thank you for a great time away.

    Carole2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful cottage. Super clean. Cosy wood burner. Very comfortable bed. Close to great beaches and cliff walks.

    Caroline2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Just had a wonderful week in Penny's lovely cottage. This is a beautifully fitted-out, cosy, sparkling clean, well-organised cottage with absolutely everything you need for a relaxing stay. We settled in immediately, aided by the thoughtful welcome package and, after a 5 hour drive, settling down in front of the log burner with a glass was just perfect. The location is ideal, being a few hundred yards from the Coastal Path and within easy walking distance of Trefin and Porthgain, where The Shed serves great seafood. This is a quieter part of Pembrokeshire, which suited us fine, but with easy access to some great walks and even the Preseli Hills. After a long day's walking it was a pleasure to return to the cottage to relax. We can safely say that this was the perfect antidote to our two stressful jobs and we would love to return to Penny's lovely cottage in magical Pembrokeshire.

  • A lovely cottage in a really quiet location. Some excellent walks from the doorstep and can recommend the Sloop Inn and The Shed, both in Porthgain. We had a lovely Christmas week and would recommend the cottage

Ysgubor is one of two self catering converted barns situated in the Pembrokeshire Coast, near the historic city of St Davids in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Originally the farm grain store and mill the barn has been renovated into a cosy two bedroom property.
  • This is a really lovely cottage in a rural location that is ideal for exploring the beautiful local area. We only went for the weekend but would love to go back for longer next time. The cottage is a great space and everything was really clean. Ieuan and Sandra were very helpful and answered any questions before our visit. They were very friendly and made us feel really welcome. Would definitely recommend xx

  • Wow. What a view! A perfect base from which to explore the Wales coastal path and surrounding areas. Great hosts and a very cosy and characterful cottage, we'll be back :)

    James2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We cannot recommend this place enough. The location is fantastic with some of the best views we have ever had at an Airbnb. There are great country and coastal walks within very easy reach and the cottage is also very close to fantastic beaches. The place itself is very cosy, exceptionally clean and comes with all the amenities you need. We slept very well every night and loved the views from every window! Sandra is a fantastic host who made is feel very welcome and left us a couple of welcome gifts on our arrival which made us feel very at home. We would absolutely stay again!

    Hayley2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is one of those places where you wake up, look out the window and wish you never had to leave. The vistas from it's place high on the hillside are breathtaking. The on-premise access to the never-ending network of public footpaths in the area means opportunities for exploration are literally on your doorstep, including a 25 minute stroll through fields and pastures to the amenities at Porthgain. The cottage itself is outfitted with comfort in mind: lovely linens, fresh pillows, comfortable mattresses. The two bathrooms (not pictured on the listing) are new and modern, with enviable water pressure! There are two living room areas, one on each floor. This was handy when travelling with a small child who liked to watch cartoons "upstairs". The kitchen is very modern with near-new appliances, including a washer/dryer for clothes, which is handy when the weather turns. Stocked with everything you need to make yourself at home with cooking, entertaining. Unlike some AirBnBs, there is no tea/coffee/sugar - basics that are sometimes handy to have upon arrival on a long travel day. The hosts did leave a pint of fresh milk (in a glass bottle, no less!) and some delicious welsh cakes with a bottle of wine. So thoughtful. Ieuan and Sandra are seriously top-notch hosts who went above and beyond any expectations, including delivering fresh apples from their gorgeous orchard. This is the best AirBnB experience I've had. We hope to return some day.

  • We have just returned from a long weekend at Hannah’s cottage and we were thoroughly impressed with how lovely it was. The space is well set out and everyone, including our dog enjoyed the under ground heating. The back garden is well enclosed which was great for both our dog and daughter. There were lots of nice touches too, such as a welcoming bottle of wine and chocolates! Hannah has clearly put a lot of thought into the property and there were lots of things in place to make our stay easier - we even had a Christmas tree! Communication with Hannah was easy and timely. We thoroughly recommend a stay here!

  • Highly recommended staying here, it's really cosy and comfortable, with a big comfy bed and a really good shower. You can see the stars really clearly from the windows and small private garden plus we were lucky enough to see lambs playing across the road from the living room. Kitchen has everything you need and the welcome pack was a great touch, much appreciated. Hannah was really friendly and helpful, plus it's got larger cottages and a garden nursery so great for family or just couple visits. Great spot for exploring and really quiet. Would definitely go back and recommend.

There were some lovely views from the living that we enjoyed every morning with a hot drink. Jan provided us with some delicious local produce, which was a lovely touch that made us feel welcome. • Beautiful cottages, great location & lovely hospitality. The local beach is wonderful but there are steep steps to access it so those with very young kids should take a sling & leave the buggy at home. Dawn & her family were very pleasant & were readily available to sort any minor issues. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & I would be happy to return again in the future.

  • Everything was fantastic about our little cottage weekend. The outdoor area is comfortable, and there is enough space for 9 people in the living room and kitchen areas. The beds aren’t the most comfortable and there is only one shower (just a bath in the upstairs bathroom) but everything you need for a few days in the welsh countryside. Drifter's Lodge is a cosy log cabin situated in the picturesque landscape of Porthgain, Pembrokeshire. This comfortable home away from home offers 3 bedrooms sleeping up to 6 people. Ideal for families and dog friendly, the lodge enjoys a peaceful and rural location whilst being only a few miles from many local pubs/eating places, attractions and glorious beaches and coastal walks. The lodge is a stroll away from the lovely Porthgain harbour and 6 miles north of the tiny city of St Davids.
The lodge is cosy, but roomy with 3 bedrooms, a comfortable sitting area and a well equipped kitchen with large dining table. There is an enclosed decking area for guests to sit and enjoy the beautiful rural landscape.
The lodge is just a stroll away from pretty Porthgain Harbour - very popular with tourists, not least for the Shed restaurant and the Sloop Inn, which serve great food! Porthgain is a great place to join the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and the cliff tops offer splendid views of the North Pembrokeshire coastline. Just a short drive or bus journey away are the pretty little village of Solva and the tiny city of St David's.
  • The cabin is beautiful and in such a great part of the world. The accommodation is cozy and has everything you need. The local village Porthgain is a short walk away and is very quaint. I would recommend going to see the Blue Lagoon which is only about 8 minutes drive away. We loved St Davids, Whitesands, Solva and Newgale in particular. There are many other places we did not have time to see. Thank you very much to Pippa for being an amazing host. This really is worth a visit and staying here will be worth it.

  • Fantastic accommodation and location. The cabin as excellent facilities and a lovely feel it it, very cosy. There were only 2 of us but would be ideal for larger families or two couples. Great location for the costal path and easy access to amazing scenery. For a easy 2hr walk from the cabin I would suggest heading criss country to Abereiddy then follow the coastal path to Porthgain and finish with a drink in the Sloop Inn or the Shed, both great places to eat. Another good local walk is Abercastle to Trefin. Good base to reach all the other Pembrokeshire attractions including St David’s and Tenby which are both worth a visit.

The room has a beautifully comfortable kingsize bed with a small ensuite shower/bathroom. There is a quiet secluded garden. Croesgoch has a pub, The Artramont Arms, 100m from the house.
North Pembrokeshire has a rugged wild beauty. The light is extraordinary and the area, like Cornwall, has attracted many artists of all types. I'm a ceramic artist and potter with my studio at the house. Guests might like to learn to throw a pot! Although a mile back from the sea and coast path, everything is within easy reach. There is a bus stop 75m from the house.
Most people are familiar with the famous Pembrokeshire national park with its wonderful coast path. St David's is Britains smallest city with its beautiful cathedral. A favourite 'watering hole' The Sloop Inn, is to be found in Porthgain, the little harbour village just over a mile from Croesgoch. Nature lovers, walkers, cyclists and bird watchers will love this bit of Wales.

The cottage met our expectations and is perfectly located within a short walking distance to the Pembrokeshire coastal path. A special thanks to Dawn, she was very kind to let us know immediately that my son had forgotten some of his belongings at check out and assured us that she will post them to our address - very kind and greatly appreciated. • A wonderful cottage and a very peaceful location. Everything was spotlessly clean and the decor and homelessness of the cottage made it feel very welcoming. A nice touch, the place was pre-heated for our arrival and due to the auto thermostat, stayed lovely and warm our whole stay. Checkin via the key box was good, and Spike (owner) and his dog came to say hello on the 2nd day, and then apart from the we were left to ourselves. The pre- stay info was great from Rachel and then there was a very detailed welcome pack which was also useful. Highly recommended, we would stay her again. Thanks

    Steve2018-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location, relatively secluded, magnificent sea views with wonderful sun rises and sunsets. The property is extremely well-equipped for people that like to cook and entertain. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the garden is spacious. The whole property is well proportioned and well-suited to family/friends gatherings. Particular attention has been given to letting guests know how things work with useful but discrete information posted around the property. There is a plentiful supply of great games, DVDs and books so no need to bring your own!!! The caretaker also responded promptly when required for a minor problem. We would definitely recommend Ty Llawen and consider visiting again.

A truly airy light cottage, all on the ground floor, in a superb location on the St Davids Peninsula in the best part of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park between the main Fishguard to St Davids and the coast at the fashionable village of Trefin. The cottage is situated in the hamlet of Penparc, and whilst there are only limited sea views from the cottage, there are genuinely wonderful sea and coastal views from the immediate surrounding area.
When last inspected by the official National tourist Board organisation, the cottage was given sufficient points as would ordinarily make it a five star one but as at that time there was no dishwasher in the cottage (a pre-requisite for five star)it could only be given four star, right at the top, but the points awarded reflected the quality. As it happens since then in addition to the installation of the required dishwasher, we have made £20,000 of improvements, including the refitting completely of the shower room (to replace a bath room, i.e. its a substantial size for a shower room) so we are 100% certain we will now achieve 5 star on the next grading inspection. There is dedicated off road-parking in front of the cottage. Guests have been very complimentary about the detailed detailed information folders in the cottage, covering of course the beaches, eating out, attractions, activities, the buses for coastal walking, and much more. The brochures on the many commercial attractions are set out in order of proximity to the cottage which is a popular feature. For some reason this year 2019 we still have as at 6th june some vacancies for the next couple of months, (normally all weeks till mid spetember are booked out by spring - or even earlier) so whilst we have not increased rentals by more than a couple of quid since the recession started, we have now reduced the available weeks to what we were charging back in 2006 (despite the numerous improvements made since that time)
  • Good location for visiting north Pembrokeshire.

    Marg2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great little cottage and, for us, it was perfectly situated between Fishguard and St Davids. The kitchen had everything you could ask for including a washing machine and dishwasher and a range of electrical appliances. There were wall heaters in every room and the place very quickly heated up when turned on. The living room was spacious and the shower room very well appointed. There was nothing we needed that was not there.

  • Really great place to stay. Just outside the madness of St Davids this is a really peaceful location with so many local beaches and attractions within 15-20 minutes drive. Also some good local bus services one of which passes the door and takes you to the wonderful Harbour of Porthgain. Great food down there and if you can get the bus you can enjoy The Sloop for all your drink requirements 🍺

Our much loved family holiday home is a short walk from the sea and beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Sleeping five in two bedrooms it is a cosy home from home from which to explore this beautiful area.
A large open plan sitting dining room offers plenty of space for the whole family to relax. There is a well equipped kitchen and newly refurbished shower room downstairs along with a useful boot room for storing muddy wellies. Upstairs there is a king size bedroom and second room with bunks and a small double. There is central heating, WiFi, TV, washing machine & drier, plus a small courtyard garden.

Super safe neighbourhood, where children can enjoy themselves. For hikers, a great place for beautiful walks and exploring. A place without noise, without stress, just peace and quiet.
  • What a lovely stay in the long barn! Despite storm Dennis, my partner and I, as well as our collie dog, all had a great time. House Martin was cosy and warm, equipped with board games and everything you need. I can imagine it would be a perfect place to go in the summer months

  • This is a cosy, tastefully decorated cottage, pretty close to the Pembrokeshire coastline. Jan was a great host - we got a bit lost on the journey down but he replied to my texts very quickly and was there to say 'hi' when we arrived. The cottage is warm and the beds are comfy. The kitchen is well stocked with teabags/ cafetiere etc and the TV can play DVDs as well. We loved walking cross country to Abercastle bay as well as the recommended tea rooms in Mathry itself (no dogs - except guide dogs - allowed in the tea rooms though so wrap up if you have a dog as you'll be eating outside!) Haverfordwest and Fishguard are close by if you have a car. A perfect place to go for a quiet few days, basically.

    Jonathan2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • great couple of days - nice set up - our eldest son (5) particularly enjoyed sleeping upstairs in the "loft" - sunshine is also guaranteed every day, which is handy!

  • Our stay at Martins House was brief but very enjoyable. The property is picturesque with beautiful gardens and views of the sea. Jan was very hospitable and gave great recommendations. We ate ‘The Shed’ in Porthgain and hiked from there to a beach halfway to Abereiddi. It was stunning and well worth the steps down...and up. ;) Don’t hesitate to book a trip to this adorable cottage.

    Lisa2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cottage that is well located to explore the beautiful Pembrokeshire coast. Easy access to walks and beaches with lots to do. We travelled with 2 young boys who loved the freedom that this property offered and we felt safe with them playing in the grounds. Great tips on what to do from Jan and Anneke - nothing was too much trouble.

    Paul2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little cottage in a great location as a base to explore this fantastic coastline. Jan gave us a warm welcome and provided some great tips on local walks and places to visit. The whole family had a wonderful time.

  • You will love this beautiful cottage and all its wonderful surroundings. Such a lovely part of wales with amazing views, beaches etc. So much to see and do. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay especially with the use of the hot tub which was a fab little extra to entertain the kids. Jayne was a fantastic host. We will certainly be returning and would highly recommend to others.

  • A very cosy, warm and relaxing place to stay. A quiet spot with stunning views within short drives of Solva, St Davids, coastal footpath etc. Immaculately clean throughout and a very well equipped kitchen. Great place to stay with our dog.

  • Jayne was very accommodating to our group and her place is lovely. The hot tub is a great bonus!

    Gina2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed our stay very much and Jayne was very welcoming and helpful.

  • Great location for exploring West Wales. House is beautifully clean. Hot tub is in a lockable space which meant I felt safe knowing my little girl couldn’t get to it without me knowing. Lovely waking up with the horses outside the window too. Highly recommended!

    Hannah2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Glenside Cottage was spotless and so well equipped. The Hot tub outside was an added bonus, particularly with the bluetooth speaker. The super large bed was very comfortable and we slept amazingly. Views of horses out of the window was an added bonus. Will definitely come again.

    Emma2019-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing cottage with clean hot tub run by lovely people.

    Piotr2018-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • You really couldn't be in better hands with Jayne. Not only was the cottage sparkling clean, it had absolutely everything you'd need for a home away from home. Jayne and her family were absolutely lovely and gave us loads of tips for places to eat, visit and shop and we're always happy to chat. The location was brilliant to explore the area whilst being off the beaten track enough to not be bogged down in the tourist traps. Coming home to the hot tub every night was a little bit of heaven after the kids went to bed for some chill out child free time. This was our first experience of Air BnB and we couldn't of been in better hands. We will most definitely be visiting again next time we're in the area. Thank you Jayne!

In the opposite direction Trefin just under a mile away has its own cove Aberfelyn and Abercastle is just a mile further on. • A stunning place with fantastic views

    Ian2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • Ann’s cottage was spotless, so cozy to come back after exploring amazing Pembrokeshire. We had a fire every night, loved it. We enjoyed nice meals in Porthgain too, easy to walk or a very short drive.

    Noelia2019-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • An excellent cottage, with wonderful views and places to walk and explore, ideally located for all....sometimes it was nice to sit in watching the rain creep in, whilst being warm, reading with a cup of tea. Porthgain is a must, particularly The Shed for the best cooked fish and chips. If you love the great outdoors, beaches, rockpools, and a nice pub to rest after, this place is ideal. Spectacularly clean, with everything you need, even a welcoming bottle of wine....

    Gary2019-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely cottage perfect for exploring the north of Pembrokeshire.

    Mel2019-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Ann and Howard's cottage is a real treasure. It sits near the coastal path in a beautiful part of Pembrokeshire and has views down to the sea. The little hamlet of Porthgain is a short drive or walking distance away and there are 2 lovely places to eat there - The Shed and The Sloop pub (The Shed needs to be booked as it's always busy) plus some little galleries. The cottage itself is extremely comfortable with everything you could think of being provided and it is also spotlessly clean. If you want a peaceful retreat in beautiful surroundings, then this is the place to book and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ann and Howard's place.

    Julie2018-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully furnished and decorated, Ann's cottage felt like a home from home. It comfortable and clean and the bottle of wine to welcome us was greatly appreciated!

    Laura2018-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Well located with easy access to the whole area. Plenty of dining opportunities but specifically the Shed at Porthgain or the St Brides Inn at little Haven. Superb area just too meander about in.

    David2018-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Lodge is amazing. From the minute you enter you will feel at home and know picking this property was the right decision. Ann made us very welcome and there was a bottle of wine as a treat for us too, which was a lovely surprise. It has everything you need and is spotless. Such a great location for getting to the local beaches etc. None of us wanted to leave. Hope to be able to visit again. A real gem!!!!

Pembrokeshire is famous for its rocky shores, beaches and scenery. The coastal path is full of wildlife including birds and seals. St Davids (the smallest city in Wales), is a 15 mins drive away and is famous for its cathedral and ruins of a bishops palace. There are some fantastic artists based in Pembrokeshire as well as numerous restaurants.
  • Looks bigger than the photos, right by the coastal path which was great. The fire is great, especially if you’ve been caught in the rain along the coast. Easy check in, highly recommend it!

  • Had lovely stay at this cosy cabin, situated in an ideal location, within reach of some lovely coastal walks and local pubs and restaurants. The cabin itself was immaculately clean, fabulously presented and felt like a home away from home during our stay in Pembrokeshire. Couldn't recommend this place enough and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future

    Alan2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Comfy and warm even in the cold season, clean, on the coastal path, highly recommended!

  • Every small item catered for in this cosy cabin..enjoyed a wonderful Christmas week here...perfect hygge! Love Trefin so cycling on Christmas morning, running and walking on the coastal path and soaking up the beauty of nature was an amazing antidote to Christmas Chaos..would definitely stay again..And a great host too 😁

  • Penny's cabin is a very cosy, warm and comfortable place to stay. The location is great with a sea view and not far from the coastal path. It was a nice touch having ingredients in the fridge for a very tasty breakfast. We would definitely come back. Penny was very welcoming and helpful.

    John2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful thoughtful touches, delicious food, comfortable and warm. Penny has thought of everything you will need. We loved it

  • Great cosy cabin in a fantastic location. Fantastic wood burner for chilly autumn nights. Would definitely recommend

    Chris2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place is the perfect escape from the city, and Penny’s husband Darren made us feel very welcome from the start. The cabin itself is very clean, comfortable, and well equipped for everything you need for your stay. It’s a five minute walk to the coastal path, with amazing views around. Even though the place is quite remote, we came without a car, and reached the place quite easily. All the locals are so friendly too, with some great food places nearby. Really recommend to stay here!

Historic stone building with large gothic style windows. The school opened in 1877 and closed in 1982. Ysgol fach is the former infants classroom attached to the main school house. Decorated with Annie Sloan chalk paint and some areas of Lime wash. Original flooring remains in the kitchen and in the lounge. We have used local providers for example; stair runner from Solva mill and bespoke stone wall with galvanised gate and railings created by Dinas Blacksmith Eifion Thomas.
Ysgol fach is attached to The Old School House built in 1877 . It is completely self contained . This was once the Head teachers teaching rooms for the youngest children . Entrance is private via a galvanised gate, stone wall and railings which make this a secure entrance for you and your family dog.
Carnhedryn is a small hamlet 3.5 miles from the centre of St Davids . We are situated on the main St Davids to Fishguard Road A487. At times there may be some background traffic noise. Take care when exiting the property as at times the A487 road can be busy .
  • Ysgol Fach is a beautiful place to stay. All the personal touches in the school house make it special. Everything you need is there and more. The dog welcome basket was amazing. Lyn is very welcoming. We stayed during Storm Dennis. It is the only place you would want to stay inside with a roaring fire and a bottle of wine rather than going out... until you run out of wine.

    Amy2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation was outstanding. We were met by the host who was very courteous and helpful. The welcome pack was an added bonus. The accommodation was out of this world and the attention to detail was incredible. The property was very cosy and we definitely go back again. I would highly recommend the Little School you will not be disappointed.!!🙂

    Paul2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We cannot recommend this place enough. The place is so clean, dog friendly and the provided equipment is more than enough for a home from home trip. The location is ideally placed to visit the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path at many points. The host left lovely unexpected touches that made us smile & feel extremely welcome. The dogs were also left lovely little surprises and have the use of a safe and secure field to have a good run. It was far, far more than we expected and we loved the place.

    Donna2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely weekend! Lyn was very helpful from when we booked to when we left! Her suggestions helped us determine places to visit, do outdoor activities, and eat. The house was in a great location and provided access to many towns within a 15-20 minute drive. She was very responsive with questions before and during our stay. Lyn was an excellent and friendly host! Not to mention that the house was very thoughtfully decorated and super cute! She added little touches like books containing the history of the home. Wish we could have spent more time there in addition to exploring Pembrokshire!

    Kim2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay here! The house is beautiful and incredibly well located and Lyn is a great host.

    Charlotte2019-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was a special stay for us as Chris had been a pupil at Ysgol Fach primary school in the 1970s. The old school has been sympathetically transformed into a comfortable home and Lyn provided lots of lovely and welcome extras. Highly recommended and we will return.

    Nia2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lyn's a great host and her place is wonderfully decorated and comfortable. It's a great place to explore the nearby Pembrokeshire coast.

Our house is an old converted farm building, on a farm a couple of miles from St Davids and 2 fields from the sea and coat path. We enjoy meeting people but have busy lives, so if you are happy to make yourselves at home and cook your own breakfast, either your own or from our larder, come and stay. If you are "INSTANT BOOKING" please read through all of our listing so that there are no surprises!
We converted traditional Pembrokeshire farm buildings to make a home for ourselves and two sons in 2000. Our sons are now grown up and have families of their own living in St.Davids. Our eldest son is a potter and younger a carpenter and both currently sharing their studio space on the farm. Your bedroom is your own space whilst you are staying with us. Our home and the rest of the house is far from spotless but has a cosy lived-in feel and we hope welcoming and if you are OK with this, together with all the comings and goings of animals and sometimes family, you are welcome to share the kitchen and dining room for breakfast in the mornings and evenings. We keep a house cow, sheep, chickens, ducks and a large dog.
We converted an old farm building on a farm in the Pembrokeshire National Park. Access is via a track across Waun Llodi moor owned by the National Trust . The coast path is two fields away. Perfect, at the right times of year, for bird and seal watching, wild swimming or just contemplation. Surfing, Kayaking, coasteering, sea trips are all available locally. usually from Easter to the end of September.
  • Val and Wyn warmly welcomed me to their beautiful little farm located a few km northeast of St Davids. They are too modest in the description of their house: it feels wonderfully good, a particular heat emanates there, which is not only linked to the presence of the wood stove in the living room! The setting is beautiful, moreover - the sunrise with a cup of tea alone is worth the detour - and I had a great time with my hosts, that's also why I invite you to take a little detour this way. Special mention to Wyn's recipe for carrots & potatoes from the Canaries.

    David2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place and lovely hosts!

  • Val and her husband are wonderful people. They made us feel at home. We made the last minute reservation and we were welcomed without problem, which we greatly appreciated. The house is very cozy and clean. The room is small but very comfortable, with its own bathroom. We were able to dispose of the kitchen without problem even they offered us homemade bread made by Val that was amazing. We recommend it without any doubt.

    Besay2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house has a lot of character and Val and Wyn add another dimension to the place. Both have plenty life experiences to share, easy going and fantastic to sit and have a chat. We would have easily stayed a few more days. Place gives you a taste of living in a farm and animals around. Plenty to keep you amused even if it a bad weather day. Its easy to get to from the coastal path and great for walker. Will surely be visiting again.

    Anith2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely beautiful house in an absolutely beautiful location. We wanted so badly to extend our stay, but extenuating circumstances wouldn't allow it. Hope to make our way back to Wales one day and would definitely book here again.

    Heather2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • I am very grateful that Val & Wyn accepted our last minute request to stay with them. They were very welcoming. After we had been shown our room, we chatted with tea by the fire. They were keen to help with our plans and very kindly suggested some local walks. I found their home to be quite amazing; in a peaceful and relaxing area. Val & Wyn are a genuinely nice, easy going couple who are both very interesting to talk to. I wish we could have stayed longer!

    Ben2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Was made to feel welcome by Val and her family. Val was very quick and clear with correspondence both before and during the visit which was useful. Nice breakfast ingredients. Our twin room was very clean and tidy as was the bathroom and shower. Surroundings very rural but beautiful and with relatively easy access into nearby St David's. Would recommend.
