Incredible views. Highly recommend renting a scooter to make commute up and down the hill much easier. 10/10 would stay here again.

Our stay at Claudia’s apartment in Sala Comacina was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning views that greeted us. The apartment itself was a perfect blend of comfort and charm, offering all the amenities we needed for a truly relaxing vacation. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The location was ideal, with easy access to a variety of activities that kept us entertained throughout our visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the boat ride on Lake Como and Kayaking, which offered breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. The Greenway trail was a delightful experience, allowing us to explore the beauty of the region at our own pace. Our visits to Carlotta Vila and Balbianello Vila were unforgettable, as we were immersed in the rich history. A big thank you to Claudia and Gabriela, who are excellent hosts! I highly recommend the place to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway in Sala Comacina. We can’t wait to return!

My fiancé and I booked Janett’s place for three nights during our time in Lake Como. The location and views are two highlights of the space. The terrace directly overlooks the lake, and it is walking distance to the public ferry and bus. Janett was also kind enough to provide a list of recommendations for restaurants and activities that were extremely useful. The place is located directly next to a 5 star hotel, so it was nice to be able to pop into the bar for an easily accessible cocktail in the evenings. One thing to note is there are not a ton of restaurants and cafes in walking distance, we did have a car that made it very useful to get around to try new places and explore Lenno, Tremezzina, bellagio and Menaggio. Overall, the place is worth the value and highly recommend. Janett was available at any time. Thank you!

The “Hydrangea Villa” at the very top of Villa Monti was a dream to stay in. The views were outstanding and all the windows open to hear the birds singing and allow cool breezes to flow thru (there is an excellent A/C system in this upper space as well). The downstairs bedroom & bath was just as clean, but not as cool as the “tower”. Communication pre-arrival was prompt and the onsite manager “MG” is friendly, attentive, knows Varenna well and gave us great suggestions for dinners & hikes ( do not miss hiking to the cemetery, waterfall and castle)! He carried our ( heavy!) bags up the 99 steps to our room- thank you MG!! The pool, although small was very refreshing and the area around it so pleasant to sit and gaze over Lake Como while drinking wine. I would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend Villa Monti to anyone traveling to beautiful Varenna.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Sala Comacina! Marzia was an excellent host — very welcoming and communicative throughout our visit. Her son greeted us upon arrival and kindly showed us to the apartment, which made settling in so easy. The location couldn’t be better — just a one-minute walk to the lake, perfect for relaxing by the water. We also enjoyed a fantastic meal at a great restaurant conveniently just around the corner. The swimming spot was safe and secure, making it perfect for a dip anytime. The apartment was very clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and beautiful getaway near Lake Como. Thank you, Marzia, for your hospitality!

Had the best time in Emanuela's apartment! She was so accommodating when we arrived earlier in the day, allowing us to drop our bags off so we didn't have to carry them about. Once we checked in, she was so helpful with local recommendations and tips. The apartment itself is stunning, right on the waterfront and has so much charm and personality! It allows for easy access to the busier parts of the lake, yet is in a peaceful area! Would entirely recommend the apartment to anyone wanting to visit, and will hopefully visit again at some point in the future!

Kicca's accommodation was exactly as described. The garden with access to the lake is fantastic. Unfortunately, we caught a very rainy time. Then you should consider that the apartment is very small and the ventilation in the bathroom was not sufficient, so that it partly came to an unpleasant smell and humidity. If it is warmer and sunnier, however, this should not be a problem. Very close to Bellagio by car. Shop beforehand - no great shopping nearby. Overall recommended!

Staying at Luisa’s apartment in Colonno was a great experience.

My husband and spent two lovely days at Natalia's place. The apartment is even better in person than the pictures. The view is spectacular, and the place itself is well designed and spotless. Natalia was incredibly helpful and accommodating with us and we would absolutely stay there again while visiting Lake Como. She has my highest recommendation.

amazing apartment. nice location, view amazing on Como lake and surrounding mountains. apartment well equipped, kitchen has all appliances, apartment has everything what you need to enjoy your stay. in kitchen you can find salt, sugar , coffee,tea, spice mix, oil, pasta, milk, water, cookies and more, that was very helpful for us. we feel like at home. beds so comfortable, very clean, spotless. small terrace and view amazing. Dedicated car park space. few restaurants close. Village very authentic, beautiful. Host very good, responsible, easy communication. Highly recommend this place. next time I definitely will stay again.

The place was great – clean, cozy, and with a lovely view! The neighborhood is quiet and friendly, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Just a heads-up: be ready to walk quite a bit, as it's located on a hill. The host was very friendly and responsive, always quick to reply to any questions. Would definitely recommend!

We loved Antonio’s place. Very peaceful village on Lake Como. Away from the tourist towns, but close enough to get to them. Cute beach just steps away and the apartment was very clean. Thank you for a great stay!

I highly recommend this place!! It was extremely clean, a comfortable bed, a beautiful view everywhere you looked, everything you would need. The house came with little treats, maps, information, and was walkable to sweet little restaurants, views etc. The hosts were SO kind, helpful and wonderful!! We would entirely stay there again!

The place itself is very comfortable and had everything you need. The view of lake Como is stunning and location was great. Easy walk to shops, bus and ferry station. Denis is very proactive and helped us with finding another accommodation due a mix up of dates on our behalf. Would highly recommend to stay at this lovely apartment.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment!the room was good , and the location was perfect. but it can be very warm in summer as there’s no AC in the rooms. it’s be a good idea on Summer a cooling fan or AC

Beautiful stay with an amazing view!

The host Andrea was really very nice and always helpful. He was quick to respond to messages. I can really only recommend it. Varenna is very easy to reach by bus/shuttle bus. It was as described in the photos :)

Silvia’s place is perfect for a stay in Como. The location couldn’t be better — it’s walking distance to the train station, the pier, and the bus stop to Menaggio and Bellagio. The apartment is super spacious, really clean, has a super comfy bed, and is fully equipped with everything you need. The washing machine was definitely a big plus. Silvia is incredibly kind and helpful from the very beginning. We totally recommend it — book it without a second thought!

Super helpful and clear communication. The Airbnb is exactly as shown, beautiful view from the balcony. Location is secluded however and hard to reach places unless you have hired a car. So just a tip for future visitors- hire a car :)

This apartment is so big, you feel like you’re in a pent house suite. We loved this place. We were able to cook some meals in the kitchen, the deck is beautiful. We were nervous about the drive and parking. Parking was fine, no issues. Yes it is a tight squeeze - but it’s Italy, driving in general is a tight squeeze. It’s easier than other reviews have made out to be. The accomodation is further up the hill and back from the town. The drive takes about 13 minutes. Not a scary drive, just a slow one with so many turns. We loved the location as it was already so busy in town that we felt like we got to escape the crowds. You would want a car here for sure. You can’t walk down to the town. And parking and driving around was easy, not as busy as you think it would be because everyone is taking ferry’s not driving. So we were able to drive down and park and go for dinner or breakfast easily. Highly recommend this place.

Best accommodation in our entire Italy trip. The place was tastefully decorated and Dana obviously took pride in hosting! Her hospitality went above and beyond and the place was very comfortable. Quiet and great place, the apartment was as described in the advertisement. We were 6 adults who had a great week in the apartment with great views. We rented bikes from @Bike it! Bellagio, very good service here too. Nice to cycle to experience new places, the ferry from Bellagio went to both sides of the lake and was easily accessible 😊

The place was just as described: good location, clean and very, very spacious. We did our research before reserving Lisa's apartment, so we knew the place was walking distance to some events we had to attend that weekend. Lisa was extremely helpful, patient with us (we changed arrival time last minute) and flexible. The bathrooms were modern and clean, and so was the kitchen. Very spacious and with really high ceilings. It all went very smooth during our stay. A great asset to Airbnb.
