“What can we say. This was a fantastic find. The accommodation is ideal for a couple who want to escape for a few days. The scenery is spectacular, especially the nearby animals and the variety of outside seating to view the stars. We saw several shooting stars. The hot tub was very relaxing and we would of been in it more if we were not in the middle of a heatwave. If you are thinking about booking this accommodation then don't hesitate as someone else will book it instead. Beverley was very helpful with restaurant suggestions . The Globe Inn has lovely pub food and has outdoor seating. You need to book. Head to Sheppys cider farm for a walk in the orchard and to pick up some delicious cider. Taunton is nearby and worth a visit. All in all a relaxing break, and we will return!”
The cottage has a lovely feel, with wood burner and Aga. Rural, but easy access from the M5, and parking for two cars. Fabulous place to use as a base for good walking & exploring the South West. A car is necessary & a desire to be off the beaten track, although good food & beers a 10-15 min walk to the village. Large rooms, comfortable furnishings, quality linens. Fully self contained with central heating and everything that you would need to make an enjoyable break.
“We had a lovely stay at Rosie's cottage - it's the perfect mix of being off the beaten track but also with good amenities nearby (pub and shop/deli within walking distance, as well as other pubs, shops and points of interest a drive away). We visited Exmouth which is a 30 minute drive away, and would recommend a walk up to Culmstock beacon and also to the Tarr Steps in Exmoor. The cottage was cosy, clean and kitchen well equipped. Thanks Rosie!”
The Old Dairy at Crosslands House has been carefully restored to make a delightful one-bed visitors cottage. Upstairs is one large open space, sitting area with log-burner, a modern kitchen and dining space. Downstairs is the bedroom and modern bathroom. We are very easy to find and only 15 min drive away from the M5 Junction 27 or 28. A great place for relaxing or some winter walks. Great local food from farm shops and local suppliers. Happy to have anyone needing a longer stays.
“Our stay at Annie’s was short but sweet. The space was clean and stylish, with a cozy log burner and luxurious bathtub, big well stocked kitchen and just an all around well designed space. The bed was incredible, we slept so well! There were so many goodies and thoughtful touches too... fresh flowers, apple juice, etc. Her gardens are beautiful even this time of year and it was lovely to stroll through and birdwatch. Annie is generous and kind and really took the time to make us welcome; her and I had a nice long chat one rainy morning about her work and the property and their apple processing... it was lovely. Would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend!”
