Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in San Gimignano

L’établissement est reculé & loin de tout à pied. Vous devez avoir un véhicule .Cependant la vue et l’intérieur des murs en valent le déplacement ! C’est magnifique . La chambre était superbe, le seul bémol est qu’il fallait sortir la nuit dans un corridor pour la toilette. Il y a deux beaux grands salons, foyer, bibliothèque, cuisine avec frigo partagé. Une cour intérieure joliement décorée . Je n’ai pas aimé mon arrivé , seulement après 15:00 prcq la réception est fermée et qu’il n’y a personne. On voulait profiter de la vue et la piscine(pas possible). Le lendemain à 10am on devait déjà être partis on nous l’a repeté 3 fois, c’était comprit la 1 ere fois ! C’est tôt , pour avoir le temps de prendre une douche et déjeuner . Cela nous a beaucoup déplu ! Le piscine bien qu’elle soit ecolo est plus comme un étang où nager avec les grenouille peut être possible. Faites attention après 18:30 si vous avez un problème ,plus personne ne répond ! (Serviettes en location à 5 euro. )

We had a remarkable stay at Octavie & Godard’s place. They were very welcoming, approachable and nice to talk to. The house is located in a stunning, quite area. We were afraid the room would be too hot due to lack of airco, but this was not the case. We would love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay with Anelida and Mauro. We had a beautiful view of Montecchiello and surrounding countryside from our window. The house is an authentic old country house with the apartment on a separate entrance. It’s surrounded by a lovely garden, very quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was a real highlight as was communicating with Anelida in my limited Italian. We would highly recommend! The central location in the Val D’Orcia meant that most villages were only a short drive away, especially Pienza, Montipulciano, San Quirico and Bagno Vignoni.

We had a great stay at Sylvia’s place. Location is excellent, walkable to everywhere and peaceful despite being close to a lively area. It was super clean, simply furnished but very comfortable and we loved having access to the terrace. Sylvia is a fabulous host- she was very friendly and helpful, especially spending time helping us work out the best way to travel to Pisa airport on the day of a national strike! It was nice to also have basics for breakfast - tea coffee milk juice toasts and jam, etc. I’d thoroughly recommend Sylvia’s place and would stay here again.

El alojamiento es muy cómodo, la habitación y cama es grande y muy limpio, es muy silencioso no se escuchan los ruidos de la calle a pesar de que están construyendo. Lorenzo es muy amable y amigable estuvo pendientes de nosotros desde que bajamos del tren nos orientó para llegar al hospedaje y nos recibió muy alegre y nos dio recomendaciones de comida y lugares para conocer. Lo único que no nos gustó pero pues no fue impedimento de sentirnos bien era que el baño que aunque era privado quedaba afuera de la habitación. La ubicación es muy residencial y del centro hay que tomar tranvía ya que se camina bastante en Florencia.

Stefan and Piero were very friendly and welcoming, looked after us and provided a gluten free breakfast for my husband each morning. The bedroom and en-suite were exceptionally clean and well provided for. It’s located a few minutes from the Duomo, right in the centre of the city with all the sights on its doorstep. Thoroughly recommended!

Wunderschönes Hotel mit traumhaftem Garten. Das Zimmer hat fantastische Deckenmalereien und man fühlt sich wie in einem Palast. Einziges Manko war, dass das Restaurant anscheinend dienstags geschlossen ist, was leider nach sich gezogen hat, dass es ab Nachmittag auch keinerlei getränketechnische Bewirtung auf der gesamten Hotelfläche gab - das bei Anreise am Tag vorher den Gästen zu kommunizieren wäre hilfreich gewesen, da wir nicht die einzigen waren, die offensichtlich nicht Bescheid wussten. Ansonsten eine absolut einmalige Erfahrung und zu 💯 empfehlenswert!

Our stay was absolutely lovely—I only wish we could’ve stayed longer! The area was so peaceful and charming, a perfect escape. Antonella went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was kind enough to drive us into the village for lunch one afternoon since we didn’t have a car, which we really appreciated. The hospitality from her and the other ladies made our stay even more memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and experience authentic Tuscan warmth!

Auch wenn wir leider nur 2 Nächte blieben, hatten wir eine sehr schöne und erholsame Zeit. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich, die Poolanlage schön und die Aussicht auf die Weinberge unglaublich. Es ist ruhig und das Frühstück mit viel Herz serviert, selbst glutenfreies Essen war kein Problem. Daniele war sehr zuvorkommend und herzlich. Wir haben den Aufenthalt einfach genossen und haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Vielen Dank!

What a special and exclusive place to stay... Villa in Carmignano is 16-th century house with history all around it. Very authentic place. Isabella is very nice host. We did enjoy the place and our dinner on terrace with unbelievable views. Parking is free. It is not very far from Florence. We would stay again!

Absolutely amazing stay! The location and house were fantastic. We loved our terrace/ balcony. We got the train into Florence and walked through the gates into Lucca - Lucca is beautiful. The breakfast was amazing, the best fresh croissants we’ve ever tasted! So much food and fresh orange and good coffee! Absolutely loved our stay here! Could come and go as we pleased, very quiet yet near everything. Thoroughly recommend. The bedroom/ embroidered sheets/ towels - attention to details which was appreciated.

Viajero solitario por elección, encontré en este lugar el refugio perfecto. Si te preocupa llegar en transporte público, no hay razón para hacerlo: yo lo hice sin problema. Tras el autobús, hay senderos bien señalados; solo necesitas buena condición física, aunque el recorrido no es demasiado exigente. Este sitio es un verdadero sueño. Lo elegí para mis primeros días después del vuelo y fue ideal para combatir el jet lag. Me relajé en la piscina, leí entre sus jardines cuidados con esmero y, por la noche, disfruté del living room con un buen libro y una copa de vino. El desayuno es agradable, pero lo que realmente enamora es la vista. Si buscas privacidad, tranquilidad y un lugar para desconectarte de verdad, no lo dudes: este es el lugar.

Our stay at the castle was very memorable. Our host was absolutely fabulous. His articulation, his caring for our individual needs every morning. He made a custom map for us and highlighted some areas that he felt we would enjoy us on a lot of locations. We probably wouldn’t have gone without his suggestions and it was just a real nice, pleasant visit

Sehr schöne Unterkunft, wir haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt. Benedetta ist super nett und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns die hauseigenen Fahrräder ausgeliehen, um damit zum Strand und zum Abendessen zu fahren. Würden jederzeit wieder kommen!

La atención de Lorenzo y Claudia fue excelente, de 11 sobre 10. El lugar es un paraíso en la tierra y la mansión (que no casa) sobrepasó todas nuestras expectativas. Las indicaciones para la llegada y la estancia, siempre claras y precisas. El robot cortacésped no nos dio problemas y las chicas pudieron disfrutar de la piscina en un día caluroso. Fácil acceso desde Pisa o Lucca o Florencia. Seguro que volveremos y lo utilizaremos como punto de referencia.

Traveling alone, I found myself less confident and reclusive in my first 2 weeks in Italy. Upon reading reviews, I had a feeling Suzi would snap me out of it. And she DID!! She was so welcoming, made me a delicious dinner the first night, and made me a part of her family for the week. I was even invited to her milestone birthday party with all her lovely friends, and then another joint birthday family dinner at home. She gave me a bunch of awesome recommendations, always asked if I needed anything, and calmed me down when I called her in despair, being lost in a field somewhere, lol! The room was huge and cozy, the shower sooo nice! (I was in the room off the kitchen) Suzi is very intelligent and we had some interesting conversations. Her two dogs Tyra and Gigi stole my heart immediately. I will be back, maybe as a work away! I will never forget your kindness and the remarkable woman you are <3

Unser Aufenthalt im B&B Sottomonte war einfach traumhaft. Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir von Adam, dem Gastgeber, herzlich empfangen – man fühlt sich sofort wie zu Hause. Adam war nicht nur unglaublich freundlich, sondern auch äußerst hilfsbereit: Er gab uns tolle Tipps zu Ausflügen, Restaurants und versteckten Highlights in der Umgebung, die unseren Urlaub wirklich besonders gemacht haben. Das Haus selbst ist wunderschön gelegen – mitten in der toskanischen Landschaft, ruhig und idyllisch. Unser Zimmer war liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und komfortabel. Besonders gut hat uns das Frühstück gefallen – frisch, regional und mit Liebe zubereitet. Sottomonte ist der perfekte Ort, um zur Ruhe zu kommen und das echte toskanische Lebensgefühl zu genießen. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben und kommen definitiv wieder. Vielen Dank, Adam, für diese unvergessliche Zeit!

Maria Livia’s place was fantastic. Spotlessly clean and well-appointed in a beautiful location. Excellent value for money and Maria Livia was a wonderful host. I would happily stay there again.

Rosa was very friendly and she did everything to make our stay perfect. The room was very nice, even better than our expectations, and the breakfast was very good and fulfilling. I definitely recommend booking here.

No need to look any further. You’ve found where you want to be! Chris’s place is a piece of heaven. It is so beautifully and authentically decorated with traditional wooden beams and stunning furniture, comfortable sofas and beds with all the amenities you need. The pool and gardens are a dream with plenty of seating options and such pretty views, surrounded by greenery and full of charm. Not to mention the beautiful dogs, Lucca and Sienna and the donkeys! It is the Tuscan countryside, so don’t be surprised by the mosquitoes and the little geckos. Then of course, there’s Chris himself, who is so kind and friendly and makes you feel so welcome and at home! It was my MIL’s birthday and he went above and beyond to help make it that extra bit special! He is such a wonderful and generous host who works tirelessly to create this haven that we had the privilege of staying in. So thank you Chris, for everything! Best place we’ve stayed in Italy so far!

La soluzione che Lavinia propone è perfetta per brevi (ma anche non brevissime!) soste. Il giardino è fantastico, gli spazi comuni sono accoglienti. Lavinia e la mamma sono persone educate e premurose, ma per nulla invadenti. La stanza è perfetta per riposare ed foto corrispondono esattamente alla realtà. Grazie! PS la colazione era… deliziosa!
