“We were on a working trip and were looking for a place in Tuscany which would provide good working conditions (comfortable environment and good wi-fi connection) and would be a good spot to travel around Tuscany. Giuliano's place turned out to be perfect for both. Everything about this stay was a 5 star experience: magnificent window-view of the valley bellow Montepulciano, cosy and comfortable apartment, great communication with Giuliano; we were arriving late and he didn't mind doing a late check-in; he was very helpful with giving us guidelines for visiting Montepulciano and even booked a really nice restaurant for us. Would definitely recommend this place and Giuliano as a host.”
“The tower is a special place. Starting with Andrea and Anna. Very nice and caring people. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. In the evenings I would sit in the rocking chair and read and didn’t want to ever get up to go to bed. The town is amazing. Each morning we would walk to the cafe and then walk a path out of the town and look at the valley. The location is very convenient to hundreds of wineries including those in Montepulciano. The townspeople are very friendly, the friendliest that we have met anywhere in Italy. Great experience!”
Set in the heart of the historic centre of Montepulciano the apartment In cerca d’Autore offers delightful and fascinating views and spacious areas.
“What a fantastic apartment. Brilliant location with every restaurant and wine cellar no more than ten minutes walk in either direction. Really well equipped - well stocked kitchen and kitchen ware, proper wine glasses !, super rain shower, bright and airy and even though there is no A/C you don’t need it. The place was cool all the time we were there, never uncomfortable despite July temperatures in the mid-90’s F....and not a single mosquito to be seen (or felt!). The terrace is a highlight. Endless views over the Tuscan countryside - gets the morning sun and then lovely shade in the heat of the afternoon from about lunchtime onward. Perfect for early morning coffee as the sun comes up and then even more perfect for lunch or dinner on the terrace and even better still for a pre-dinner cocktail or an after dinner drink under the stars. Gessica was a very responsive and welcoming host. Answered any questions promptly and the one day we had a problem with an electricity outage, she had someone on site in twenty minutes to sort out the issue for us. If you stay in the apartment you get a good discount from Urban Bikes (owned business Gessica’s brother) just off the main square. All terrain E-bikes with preloaded GPS routes through the Tuscan countryside on quiet back roads that are traffic free. We did the cinema route and saw where they filmed Under the Tuscan Sun and Gladiator and when one of our party had an issue with a muscle pull, they came out to us immediately in the countryside and picked her and the bike up in a van and brought her back to Montepulciano (Thanks Michele!!). Brilliant service and a great day out. Pienza and Monticchiello well worth a visit but be sure not to miss Bagna Vignoni - maybe one of the nicest little villages we’ve been to in Tuscany and built around hot baths. You can get day passes for about thirty euro a person and spend the day in any of the spa resorts dotted on the edge of the village and all with hot pools and cool pools to enjoy. There are free pools as well below the village. All in all Gessica’s place is excellent, spotlessly clean, airy and and bright and more upscale than many places we have stayed. Great value. I highly recommend it.”
