“We are completely satisfied. It was a wonderful stay with Elisabeth and Fabio. Their hospitality was excellent from the moment they picked us up in a small dolly to carry our luggage up the mountain to the apartment. The apartment was remarkably clean and equipped with the most beautiful design items (such as beautiful tiles, porcelain from Rosenthal and Arzberg and gas stove from Smeg). A highlight of the stay is definitely the wonderful view of Lake Maggiore and of course the heated whirlpool, which Elisabeth has lovingly prepared for us with candles and prosecco. Thank you for everything! We were definitely not there for the last time ...”
Charming first floor of a guesthouse dateing back to late ‘800, just restaured. Bedroom and bathroom fully equipped. It is in a garden of camellias, villa Anelli, with view on lake Maggiore, only reachable via feet. The window faces camellias blooming in springtime and winter, green during summer. Beautiful terrace facing far away the lake and the castles of Cannero, perfect for an aperitivo at sunset. Atmosphere of an english cottage, perfect for a couple. The bed is a king one, yes kitchen.
“Beautiful accommodation located in a wonderful garden with all sorts of vegetables and herbs (yes, you can go pick some fresh basil when preparing dinner). The experience was super authentic starting with a personal welcome tour in the garden and getting to know Orsola and her family. Also, it’s a great place for a good night’s sleep - super comfy bed and quiet at night to sleep with open windows. Thank you Orsola and Andrea for an amazing time at Lago Maggiore!”
Wake up from a restful night’s sleep in the teak canopy bed in this hidden waterfront getaway. The home was converted by a leading architect in the 1980s from an old mill built from local granite. Items collected from around the world are featured. Unwind on the shaded spacious terrace/patio offering great views of the lake and marveling at the beautiful surrounding nature. Il Dolce far Niente or the sweetness of doing nothing, but it’s so much more than that. It’s sheer indulgent relaxation and blissful laziness, with no guilt, for no reason at all.
“Jean-Marc is an exceptional host! He greeted us at the driveway with a warm smile and conversation. He then gave us a tour of the property and then left us to our privacy. It was like checking into a five diamond hotel with crisp clean linen and every attention to detail. This property is a B&B and he prepares a lite breakfast each morning where you sit at his beautiful dining table overlooking the lake. He goes above and beyond by being available for questions on things to do and driving directions. We hadn’t planned on a trip to Switzerland but after going over our itinerary and our next destination, he suggested going up and crossing the border and seeing Ponte dei Salti in Lavertezzo. What a wonderful suggestion, so beautiful!!”
