Craftsman style, 2 bedroom cabin with large windows overlooking the designated "National Wild and Scenic" Pere Marquette River.
“I spent several afternoons at the cabin and loved every moment! Here is what my parents had to say: Jade and Russ were easy to reach and answered our emails promptly. The cabin has everything (and beyond everything) for a relaxing and comfortable vacation. From the cooking tools to the new nice folding chairs to sit outside and to watch the river in the most beautiful surroundings. We were blown away by the beauty and luxury of the place. Fishing every day or twice a day :-), yoga outside by the river, grilling on the porch, sitting on the comfortable couch at night looking at the river and forest (deer, wild turkey, colorful birds). All the details: dishes, glasses, coffee and tea pots and cups - unique. Every little detail is so well thought of. It’s clear that Jade and Russ love their house and were honored that they let us to share their love. They even created a book with sections about - restaurants, hiking, fishing. And if you like good music and interesting reading - they have it too. We rented the cabin because we needed a place to stay during our daughter's wedding in Scottvillle, 35 minute drive, and staying at the cabin made it even more special and enjoyable. We are jealous of all the people who will vacation at their cabin, but we hope to come back soon. ”
This quaint log cabin is nestled amongst trees in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. Your stay at the Aubert Den will give you that true Up North feel. This cozy cabin is central to the Pere Marquette River, Biking/ORV/ATV/Snowmobile Trails.
“Excellent property, we stayed there amazing 9 nights. It was an excellent vacation for all of us. We had great time biking, hiking and sun bathing by the lake (in Ludington). Our goal was stay further out of the ordinary working days and out of the city's turmoil . It met our expectation 100%. Clean, cozy easy to access, lot of biking an hiking options and owners are very helpful. One think you should realize that the area lies in the middle of a prehistoric see and everything around is on sand. If you like biking as we do, you can take many single tracks for example by Bowmanlake, BigM or North Country Trail some are accessible directly from the cabin some by a short drive. There is also an option to ride on the roads which were very quite too. We combined them with trails often.”
My home is in the country on a beautiful all sports lake. Its a lovely quiet neighborhood just 15 minutes away from Lake Michigan. Attractions are fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, walking the beach, climbing the dunes, biking, hiking or just relaxing on the patio. Manistee national forest trails are withing 10-15 minutes to hike or cross country ski. Three coastal towns are 15-30 minutes away with quaint shops and restaurants. A lovely small meal will be offered for breakfast.
“Bev's home is absolutely beautiful! The pictures are lovely, but it is even lovelier in person :) We were only there for 2 nights due to kids' schedules; would have loved to have stayed longer. There is plenty of space inside and outside. There is a covered porch/balcony on the back that wraps around two sides and part of the front - lots of sitting areas; there is also a wonderful cement/stone patio on the walk out level with wonderful sitting areas. Bev's home is just a few steps to the water - she has a double and single kayak to use and a paddle board (harder than it looks :)); she also has a fire pit (and wood) that you can use. The beds were comfy. Everything was clean and well thought out. Bev is a wonderful host; her breakfasts are amazing! Her home is located off the beaten path, but still within 20 minutes or so of the big lake. I highly recommend a stay at Bev's.”
