We will be happy to show you the farm, which has been restored according to old methods. It is close to the golf course and the picturesque town of Arvika with art museums and cafés.

In the nearby area, there is Segerstad nature reserve at Vänern's beautiful archipelago. Nice forest roads invite you to hiking and cycling. For those interested in paddling, the archipelago is available less than 100 meters from the house. Bredsanden, which is a fantastic sandy beach that is child-friendly, is secluded and is 200 meters away from the house. There is an option to fish in Lake Vänern without a fishing license. New cottage located 50 meters from the shore of Lake Vänern. Kitchen area with fridge, stove, microwave, fully equipped with porcelain, (no oven). Small living room with sofa, coffee table and TV. Bedroom with double bed, bedroom with bunk bed, loft with double bed and a single bed. Private bathroom with shower and toilet. Air heat pump! Private outdoor seating area with furniture and barbeque. Possibility to rent a wood-fired sauna at an extra cost. The cottage is 40 sqm + the loft. Not so big but nice! Happy if the cottage is left cleaned, clean and tidy! Welcome!

Beautiful nature for retreat, breathing, taking it easy or being active and doing sports. There are forests with walking paths or bike paths, blueberries, lingonberries and mushrooms. Your neighbor is the swimming bay with a sandy beach and Lake Vänern. The city of Karlstad with shopping and culture is only 15 km away. Maybe this is your "hideaway"?

Lakefront, modern and newly-renovated accommodation with its own terrace and garden. 700m to Lake Vänern (EU's largest lake), 500m to nature reserve Hammars udde which offers beautiful nature, rich bird life, nice hiking trails, burial grounds from the Iron Age and a Viking Age "domarring" (ring-shaped stone wall). You will also find Hammarö Archipelago Museum on the outskirts of the headland, which offers a unique collection of objects from the old Vänern fishing and an exhibition about life on the lighthouses in Lake Vänern.

If you have your own boat with you, you can put it by the jetty. In summer, you can borrow a smaller boat with an electric motor (see picture)

Home from Home in Karlstad 3 bedrooms.

3 bedrooms available in a sunny family home nestled in a small suburb only a 5-minute drive from Karlstad centre. There are buses to town centre readily available. It is also an easy 25-minute walk or a 10-minute cycle along the banks of the river Klarälven. The house is set in a quiet neighborhood close to the river. You will not share the house with other guests but I stay in the basement during your stay. I have a nice outside cat and a friendly dog who also stays with me in the basement.
