What a great trip and time we had! Location was great, beautiful views, quiet, and relaxing. Jared was great at communicating, friendly, and made sure that we enjoyed our stay. We took the boat out two of the days we were there and had a blast on the lake. We had four adults and one kiddo and the house fit us perfectly. Only regret is leaving to come back home!

Our family of 4 had such a wonderful time at the Lavender Loft. The home is comfortable, clean and has everything you’d need. The outside surroundings are truly peaceful, it was just what we needed. Carmen had so many suggestions for local spots to check out which was so hopefully. We look forward to coming back to MI in the future and would definitely look to book with Carmen again.

We LOVED staying at Tj's place. It was a great location on Dewey Lake, beautifully decorated inside, and immaculately clean. We had an issue with the furnace, and Tj responded quickly and did his best to rectify the situation. The furnace couldn't be fixed over the weekend, but we used the fireplace and a neighbor brought over space heaters at Tj's request, so we were nice and toasty. Because the weather was rainy, we didn't get to use the deck with the fire pit. But we did get to use the sun room when the sun was out, to read and gaze out at the lake. I look forward to returning, and recommend Tj's cottage to anyone looking for a getaway in the Sister Lakes / Dowagiac area. We would also recommend The Baker's Rhapsody in Dowagiac for coffee and baked goodies for a treat, and the Sister Lakes Brewery for good, plentiful casual food. Their beer selection is excellent; get a four beer flight of your choosing. The Dewey Lake Monster selection is particularly good!
