Cottage holiday rentals in Silver Lake

Extremely nice house that worked perfectly for our family of eight. The four kids (7, 5, 1.6, and 4 months) sleeping arrangements were just right. There was plenty of toys and things to do for the kids - including water options.

our family of five plus two puppies had a wonderful stay. we have stayed in alot of homes and this one was our families favorite so far. Great layout! the laundry room was great for me. Do plan for grocery pick up for main needs as once your settled its a drive to big box stores. And you dont want to leave! so mush to do three nights was not enough time for this great town and home.

We stayed at this awesome cottage in northern Michigan for a golf trip with four guys, and it couldn’t have been better. The Airbnb is set on a ton of land—super peaceful and private, perfect for unwinding after long days on the course. The place was spotless, well-stocked, and everything was easy to navigate. One of the biggest highlights was the hot tub—absolutely clutch after walking 18+ holes each day. The host made everything simple with great communication and clear instructions from start to finish. It was one of those stays where everything just worked, which let us fully relax and enjoy the trip. Highly recommend this spot if you’re planning a golf getaway or just want a quiet place to chill with friends.

The Octagon cottage was the perfect retreat for our family vacation! Very close to Lake Michigan and Silver Lake. The hot tub and game room are an excellent addition for those unpredictable Michigan weather days! The home was stocked with all we needed and the attention to detail for guests showcase how great the hosts are! We will absolutely return for another family outing.

Joshua was an excellent host. He was very responsive and flexible. The home was exactly as described. The yard was great for the kids to play in. View from the deck is beautiful and very quiet and relaxing. House was a great fit for our vacation. Bedrooms were very nice with comfy mattress and bedding. Bathrooms were stocked with a few essentials which is always a great touch. Living room / dining room area are beautiful and well designed to host a larger group like ours. We most definitely would recommend and would stay at the home again! Thank you Joshua for saving our vacation!

Loved this house! We had 8 girls. The beds were comfy, the house was stocked very well. I came over prepared with seasonings, garbage bags, and a lot of the basics.. and Paul had it all! Had plenty of towels & beach towels…The only thing we couldn’t find was a cutting board… quick Meijer trip! We LOVED THE HOUSE! interior was beautiful, a little dusty and bathroom downstairs needed a little cleaning but it was a 20 minute clean. I’m also very neat freak in that way and just did a cleaning when we got there. The property was beautiful, well stocked with firewood, was able to park 4 cars nicely. The sand down by the water was super soft. The upper deck (needed to wear shoes d/t a girl getting a splinter) the lower deck was Trex Deck & very nice. Hot tub was awesome. Overall, a wonderful experience & we all want to make it a yearly tradition coming back. Neighbors were nice and we were greeted by the friendly dog of a nearby neighbor. We used the home for an annual ladies only get away, it was relaxing, beautiful, very clean and had everything we needed including a beautiful hot tub, our host was very responsive to messages, I would recommend it to anyone and will consider it again for a relaxing getaway.

We had a great time. It is a wonderful house and a lot of great memories were made. Fun for all ages! My husband and I are in our 40’s, two 20 year olds (our son and his girlfriend), a 16 year old (son), my sister and her husband who are in their 30’s and their 3 month old son. We had pinball tournaments, Godzilla was our favorite, grilled out, made smores at the fire pit, played in the pool and relaxed in the warm bath and hot tub. We rented UTV’s at Silver lake, went to the Ludington North Breakwater Lighthouse, went mini-golfing and go carting at AJ’s, ate and bowled at Stix, and walked around the shops in Ludington. The Coffee Coup’s Golden Egg is a must have for coffee lovers! Thank you, Carolyn, for letting us stay in your beautifully time warped 70’s home!

The rental was perfect. Just big enough for the 6 of us. We had all the amenities available and needed nothing. The grocery store was just up the road so we packed light. We also utilized the washer/dryer which was handy. On Saturdays, there is the Merritt Speedway. Good for a laugh and beer. Don't forget to visit Tastey Treat. Beach is groomed/sandy and clear water for swimming. I could go on! Thank you and we look forward to coming back!, The Westlake's

We had a great stay at forest and flows Airbnb a lot of history there for myself. I've been going there since I was a kid stony lake, and we'd always go to Silver Lake and walk down to the Lake Michigan, right there down the canal. We did that every evening. The few people that were with us that have never been there. We're just astonished by the sunsets. We were lucky to get nice weather. I got to play, I'm baseball diamonds. Get ice cream across the street and just genuinely relax. It was a great place. The neighbors are very friendly.We all had a great time.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It is close to the lake. Walking distance to a small beach. Very peaceful. We used the bikes to ride on the Fred Meijer trail and around the lake. Only about a 10 minute drive into town less than that to get to Walmart. We would definitely stay again when in the area visiting relatives .

This is our second stay at the cottage and the first stay we rated it a 5 star and we would rate higher this time if we could . We had a baby shower for our daughter and the cottage was PERFECT .

Kevin was an excellent host! After arriving, he proactively reached out to make sure everything was satisfactory. The property was as described and within close proximity of the beach. Both checking in and out were seamless. I would highly recommend staying here!

Loved to see how old and “historical” the house was yet it still felt modern and the beds and couches were super comfortable:)

Cozy cottage, great for a family weekend away. Had everything we needed! Easy check-in and Dean was quick to respond if we needed anything. Very short walk to downtown pentwater with cute shops, bars and restaurants. We would 100% use this cottage again. :)

Jennifer the host we as very friendly and helpful. we lost power at our home and had to find somewhere quickly. this house had everything we needed. pet friendly to responsible pet owners. The animal run was perfect for my rabbits to get a chance to stretch their legs. The 2 bedrooms were great for my husband I and 2 kids. We were able to grill and even kayak. This house is going on my fans list forsure :-)

Wow... Such a beautiful spot to wind down. Came for my husband's birthday weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better spot! Sarah was super sweet and helpful. House had ALL the amenities we needed too. We COOK on trips due to food sensitivities and the kitchen was very well equipped! House was spotless and very charming. Located on a beautiful large lake. We would certainly come back in a heartbeat!

Our week at LouAnn Lodge was amazing. The cottage was beautifully decorated and had plenty of space for 8 adults. We really enjoyed the lakeside firepit, kayaks and paddle boards, as well as the yard games. The area is quiet but convenient to restaurants and grocery stores. Definitely recommend for a family get away.

Had a great stay! The directions were very clear so it was easy to find. Had a great time relaxing with my family. From cooking on the Blackstone, to using the kayaks, to playing Jenga. Got to enjoy the fire pit as well and the little area to get in the water was fun. The Airbnb is very spacious from the inside. The kitchen was very stocked with appliances, and plates to use in case you forget your own. Peaceful! Would recommend and would love to come back!

Excellent lighting features i.e. motion sensor lights in kitchen if needing to find something at night. Another was great lighted mirrored in the bathroom. Fully equipped kitchen with premier pots, pans and dishes, along with new meat thermometer and other items needed for cooking and grilling. Hostess cooled the cabin off for us prior to arrival on an unusually hot day. She also responded quickly to our questions.

A nice relaxing getaway. Very neat, clean and cozy cottage. It was fun fishing from the dock, catching lots of bass, I liked sitting on the beach with my feet in the water and I enjoyed using the kayak. I would have liked to swim in the lake, but the lake floor had too much detritus to get in from the beach. Although, If you have a boat, other people were swimming in the middle of the lake. In the evening, it was nice to grill on the barbecue and watch the sunset. The owner was very nice and communicative. I would consider staying again.

We had a great stay. Easy to get in and access, incredible location on Lake Michigan, and very peaceful. Amenities were great, and exactly as advertised. We appreciated the firepit, hammock, full kitchen, two bedrooms, and stairway right down to a beautiful Lake Michigan beach. We had a great time! Thanks!
