Monthly Rentals in Skalen

We had a great time in this traditional Swedish country house in a quiet rural setting. The equipment is great and clean. The bathroom could use a renovation, but the rest of the rooms were immaculate and very nicely furnished. Jonathan was a great host, he gave us tips for the area and made the sauna by the lake in front of the house available. That was a great experience. All in all a great stay, just as we imagined it!

Lovely cottage. Located on a quiet road and on a lake. Everything was present! And the beds are very comfortable. The shower was also wonderful. Fun activities to do nearby. And don't be alarmed by the train tracks. You won't be bothered by this!

Great place, with peaceful surroundings, clean cabin. host greeted us when arrived, was very friendly. would definitely stay in this cabin. great value for the money.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the island. You have the island to yourself, so it's completely private and provides magnificent views at the same time. The beautiful weather surely helped as well: we had lots of sunny days, so the kids enjoyed themselves swimming and jumping off the sauna balcony into the water, while we had time to relax, read books and do nothing :). We did all our cooking over the fire at the fireplace near the water in the evening sun. Of course, as an off-grid house, facilities are a bit limited - even though there is a warm shower. The town with supermarket and shops is nearby, but of course it takes a boat ride to get there. Lots of fun in the sun, a bit of planning required when it's rainy ;). It's been a 'back to basic' experience that we can recommend to anyone.
