Bungalow holiday rentals in South Norfolk District

A wonderful property with a spectacular sea view! Very comfortable accommodation on a well-kept, quiet site. We loved sitting out on the deck listening to the waves lapping the beach and the birds singing in the trees. We found some wonderful walking trails right from the site which gave us Nightingales and Turtle Doves - such awesome birds to hear. We cannot wait to return!

Lovely little place. Sea side was short walk over the sand dunes. Outside seating was excellent as my mother in law can't walk much, however she sat on chair on the top of the sand dunes every day watching the sea. My 4 years old daughter loved jumping in the sea, over the waves. Over all it was lovely place to stay even our dog enjoyed walks on the beach (he can be funny about his walks).

In a very pretty village, with great walks nearby along the beach. 12th century church round the corner and the picture perfect lighthouse. If you want to stay somewhere quiet and relaxing, this is a great choice.

Angela and family very friendly. Convenient for us visiting family in the area. Good parking area. Good location for visiting alot of Norfolk. Cottage clean and comfortable.

Fantastic location a few minutes' walk from the beautiful beach & clifftops. The house itself is extremely well-equipped with everything you could think of, ample cutlery and crockery and very handy dishwasher and washing machine. We spent most of our time on hiking trails and coastal walks which are all easily accessible Smugglers Lane. There were plenty of other things to do in the local area, including farm shops, arts & crafts, the lavender farm, Sandringham estate, Hunstanton and its lengthy promenade, and a multitude of small cafes and shops. It was lovely to return every evening to this comfortable house to reminisce about the day in the peace and quiet of the garden. Helen has been an amazing communicative host and we recommend Sunset Retreat wholeheartedly. Thank you!

Sally was an excellent host, she was responsive and very accommodating (I needed a late check in and she was happy to oblige) The property was exactly as described and the photos show. It was warm and cosy and very close to the beach!

Our stay was brilliant. Karen and Peter were great hosts, kept us updated on check in and gave some fabulous recommendations. The farmers market every first Saturday of the month was brilliant for foodies. Great location - would definitely recommend.

Spacious bungalow with a large garden ideal for families with kids. Very close to beach. We had a lovely stay all round. Can't think of anything that didn't work for us. 10 out of 10 Nice touch with the selection of books and toys. Great garden!

The property was as described and was very well appointed in a good location. Communication with Elaine was easy, friendly and prompt. It was exceptionally clean and uncluttered. nearby there was an excellent Shop across the road and a very nice pub, Three Horse Shoes in the village. For our needs of walking, was well positioned for walks in the area. would happily recommend the property to friends.

We had an absolutely fabulous time at the Milking Parlour ❤️ The place was gorgeous, perfect for a couples getaway. We were blessed with brilliant weather, and the positioning of the garden meant we got the best of the sun. Sitting outside with breakfast in the mornings was a proper treat. The hot tub was also a super nice addition; once we got it properly going, we stayed in it from sunset until the night, and were able to spot some constellations as we were far enough away from the light pollution of central Ipswich :) The Milking Parlour itself is super lovely, very airy and fresh design, bright throughout the day, helpful little gadgets around, always a good temp due to underfloor heating. The hosts Marion and Kevin were really friendly, and Charlie was very helpful. We would’ve never left, had we been given the choice, so we will hopefully be back soon instead 🙏

What can I say? We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds and Roy went out of his way to make us feel so welcome. Roy and Marita went completely above and beyond when one of our vehicles broke down and they waited for the recovery truck until the early hours so that we could go to work. Thanks so much both, lovely to meet you and see you next time.

Beautiful location, lovely host. Pool table got a lot of use. Really nice couple of days away in the countryside. Would recommend and the pics don’t really do the place justice. It’s nicer than the photos suggest. Thanks for having us.

We really enjoyed our week in this well appointed and tastefully designed bungalow property. We had everything we needed and felt very much at home. The property is situated in a peaceful and quiet location, with a lovely sheltered private garden. It is an ideal base from which to explore Suffolk and nearby Norfolk. We would particularly recommend the coastal towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh. The latter also features the 'Red House', the former home of the renowned Benjamin Britten, founder of the annual Aldeburgh Festival, and his partner Peter Pears and now a visitor attraction. Antony and Sophie are charming, friendly, thoughtful and approachable hosts who live just next door. They gave us a warm welcome on arrival, including fruit, treats and a bottle of wine which was most appreciated. We hope to stay again sometime if possible.

Lovely place to stay to get away from it all. The jacuzzi was fab - just the right temperature. The enclosed garden was brilliant for our dog, who had plenty of space to safely run around. The welcome goodies were much appreciated. The location was pretty close to Southwold by car and other beaches. A very good stay - thank you!

The 'Beehive' is an excellent home for staycation. The surroundings are calm and lovely, the farm house has excellent amenities. Very convenient for families. Has a big lawn to play around the house. Close to few pubs and shops. The host were lovely and very responsive. Breakfast supplies were great. Overall, we loved the place and stay and highly recommend to anyone travelling to Norwich/Norfolk.
