Classic ranch home with open updated design and decorated with the colors of fall. Fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, dishwasher, and informal kitchen dining on the bar. Gas log fireplace. Just a mile from Acadia trails and beaches, this humble cottage has a peaceful island vibe, relaxing family spaces, a fenced yard, and great front porch, with no dog or cleaning fee. Eat lobster year round, visit Bar Harbor, take the family on a boat ride to see Mount Desert Island's 26 peaks from the water. Come in winter to work and play, hike the snow covered mountains, ice skate and XC ski.

The Arthaus, an eclectic retreat for two

Located on Mount Desert Islands, "Quietside". The cottage features high ceilings and an open floor plan, with a small deck looking into the woods The walls are decorated with original art work by the owner. Our location is central to the island, situated just outside the village of Somesville; 15 minutes to Bar Harbor, 10 minutes to Southwest Harbor by car. Hiking and swimming opportunities are just 5 minutes away by car. The Arthaus is not suitable for pets, despite our love for them.

This cozy seaside cottage on the "Quiet Side" of Mount Desert Island has panoramic views of Southwest Harbor and the Cranberry Islands. Watch the boats and tide come and go from your bed! High tide splashes below the cantilevered deck. The quaint downtown where you can shop and dine is just a 3/10 mile walk along a sidewalk. There are several access points to Acadia National Park just 2-3 miles away; downtown Bar Harbor is a 25 minute drive. The cottage is ideal for couples or families.

This 3 bedroom 3.5 bath home (each bedroom with its own full bathroom) is situated in a private, wooded setting on the edge of Southwest Harbor's bustling village. All on one level, it offers sophisticated yet comfortable furnishings in an open floor plan design. Each bedroom has a full bath. It’s close to several Acadia National Park access points (Long Pond and Echo Lake are both within a 5 minute drive). This home offers extra wide doorways accomodating those with mobility issues.

Social distancing at its finest on this 18 acre estate. Enjoy pristine beaches and forest and spread out in this 2600 sq ft home with cathedral ceilings, 2 fireplaces, sauna, hot tub, and well stocked kitchen. Explore the island and it's hikes and fine sand beaches or take a dip in the quarry. If you don’t like tourist traps, I highly recommend these accommodations instead of MDI

Located about a 1/4 from groomed X-country ski trails. Thank you for considering the Hideaway for you stay. The house is well equipped for your comfort. Located near the Hulls Cove park entrance and beach. The calendar does reflect availability, please believe the calendar, if it won't let you book the dates you are looking for that does mean it is not available.
