Drive into Acadia or to the shops, restaurants & excursions of Bar Harbor or from late June to mid Oct, catch the free Island Explorer shuttle from the end of our road.

Our place is next to Acadia National Park on the Schoodic Peninsula. Winter Harbor has restaurants and galleries, a ferry to Bar Harbor and the free Island Explorer bus to the Acadia National park and downtown Winter Harbor. You’ll love our home because it is very comfortable with beautiful gardens and many quiet sitting areas for early morning coffee or your late afternoon wine. Our place is very accommodating for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers and for bird watchers.

It is located close to an exit to our beach, and our building can't get much closer to our private beach! No A/C, not pet friendly. Fans provided. **Wine & Cheese nighs cancelled due to COVID regulations**

Taunton River Bed and Breakfast, Franklin Room

Come stay in gracious comfort in the Franklin Room at a our charming 1845 traditional bed and breakfast, strategically located between Acadia National Park and Mt Desert. Local quaint shopping areas and restaurants in Ellsworth and Bar Harbor which is from 15-30 minutes from our B&B.
