The town of Wehlen is located in the Upper Elbe Valley in the heart of Saxon Switzerland National Park. The tranquil health resort looks back on almost 800 years of history. The market house is a historic gem and is a listed building, designated as the first hostel of Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the historic castle ruin. The vaulted cellars date back to 1527, while the main house was built in 1734 in the Franconian half-timbered style.

Our house with 2 apartments is located on a plot of about 2000 sqm in a quiet location on the edge of the forest, directly on the famous Malerweg. In about 600 m you can reach the Elbe bike path, the ferry dock, the adventure pool and restaurants. Good starting point for hikes, bike rides, as well as visits to castles and castles as well as sights. In about 500 m there is the S-Bahn station "Stadt Wehlen". From here, you can reach the culture city Dresden in 30 minutes.

The view of our private courtyard, with traditional round timber and our beautiful 90-year-old walnut tree. The south side provides bright light flooding. On the southwest side is a small separate sitting area, with barbecue facilities. Renovated in 2022.

In a few minutes you can reach shops, public transport and everything else you need. We will provide a space for your car OR your bicycles in the garage. Both at the same time is only possible with a luggage rack on the rear of the car. Please arrive without pets.

Hiking trails start right in front of the house and the market with cafes and restaurants, as well as the Elbe bank, can be reached in a few minutes.

A comfortable and family-friendly apartment with kitchen, bedroom and shower and toilet awaits you. The apartment can accommodate 2 people. In addition, there are 2 extra bed options. A travel cot for infants is available. The rooms are painted with natural colours and the wooden floors are treated with natural wax and are therefore particularly suitable for allergy sufferers. Pets are allowed on request. A large balcony invites you to linger.

It´s a cosy little room about 16 sqaure meters. It has a separate entrance and it´s perfect for 2 people. The house with the apartment is located in a quite neighbourhood. In the apartment there is a TV, a radio, a bathroom with WC as well as a shower and a mini kitchen. WIFI is available. There you can find a refridgerator, a sink, a coffee machine and a cooker. Everything to make a nice meal after a long day of hiking in Saxony Switzerland!

The well-known painter's trail leads directly past. Ideal for excursions to the Elbe sandstone mountains, but also to the surroundings of Pirna and Dresden.
