I had a wonderful experience staying at this Airbnb! The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive from the moment I booked. The space was exactly as described — clean, comfortable, and well-decorated. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. Finding a place is slightly troublesome but we had fun driving around the neighborhood. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would definitely book again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy and convenient place to stay!

Simmer Down was a nice, quiet place to unwind for a couple's getaway. We had a great time.

Excellent all the way around. Leah was super and the place was great! Would highly recommend!. Enjoyed smores by the fire pit outside and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking! Enjoyed the record player and playing albums while making dinner! Close to all the great hiking etc def a great place and having a great host is super important for all to go well and this checked all the boxes

We loved our stay. It was clean and comfortable. In spite of loss of electricity due to a storm on the first night, the host contacted us to let us know where emergency lanterns and candkes were. We would definitely recommend.

This cabin is absolutely beautiful. The decks are really nice and it has pond access for fishing. Great kitchen and comfy seating. The hosts were really responsive (we booked for a weekend with a big storm lol) but it was so much fun. The only thing I will say is that if you don’t have 4 wheel drive you might want to make sure you have a bigger car. About 5 minutes of the drive is bumpy and steep and the driveway is pretty steep. But I would definitely stay here again and it felt super secluded and relaxing.

This cabin is a true gem! My fiance caught multiple large bass in the pond. The secluded location provided the perfect amount of peace and quiet. A huge storm came through during our stay and the sound of the rain on the tin roof was like something out of a movie! We felt right at home, you can tell by all of the small details in decor and cleanliness that this cabin is well loved. Brittany was so kind and responsive, she even offered us an early check in! We will definitely be planning another trip to this perfect cabin in the future!

Rachel’s cabin is cozy, comfortable and has beautiful views. Close to Richmond, Berea and Lexington. We will definitely come back.

The hosts were so great! The space was clean. It did feel small for four people, but it was manageable. This is definitely the place to stay if you’re wanting to hike because of how easy the drive to the Gorge was. A very central place, overall!

The moment we arrived at the cabin, we were in love. This cabin is quaint, peaceful and private. We rented it for our 28th Wedding Anniversary and were not disappointed. We spent much of our time on the front porch. At night we would sit and listen to the Whip-Poor-Wills and the occasional Owl. Even a rainstorm during our stay couldn't stop us from enjoying the porch. One of my favorite things was the creak of the screen doors. It was music to my ears. My husband was on the fence about no television and brought a portable DVD player which we never used during our 4 night stay! The cabin was just too peaceful to need or want tv! And the bed is so comfortable! We think this cabin is quite the little gem and you'll find yourself very lucky to spend some time here. We know we want to return already! If you're looking for a peaceful, quiet, private place then this fits the bill. No big city nonsense. No light pollution. No crowds. No stress! Just a beautiful, comfortable, fun stay.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The home was beautiful and peaceful. Anything you might need was provided and more. Beds were so inviting and the wrap around porch and friendly neighboring dogs made it a magical wooded getaway. Cannot wait to return. If I could give more than 5 stars I certainly would.

We had an excellent stay! The place was clean and exactly how it was described. We really enjoyed that it was pet friendly and that our pup was able to travel with us! My only criticism was that the bathroom seemed to attract gnats. I don’t think this was any fault of the owners and it would not deter me from staying here again.

Guy's and Gals this is definitely the place to come for an amazing get away. Hilltop paradise is a must see. There are 3 different cabins to choose from. It is definitely our new home away from home. The pool, the hot tub and the secluded privacy is amazing. The host Sonya will make sure your stay is enjoyable And she is the best host you could ever wish for. She made our vacation top notch. This beautiful cabin is situated in a nice out of the way pocket of forest off of a gravel road. The directions given to find it were good and GPS got us there without issue. Everything looks brand new and is spotless. The hot tub was perfect, the snacks were tasty. We loved the morning view out of the huge windows in the upper deck. This place is incredibly comfortable and I'm hoping we can make it back here sometime.

We had such a great weekend here! Very private and peaceful area. The hot tub was probably our favorite part of the place. Fairly close to most hiking locations. Definitely drive an SUV or truck here, the drive getting up to the cabin is pretty bumpy. Would definitely stay again!

What a charming and absolutely beautiful cabin! We stayed here for a wedding nearby and it was the perfect retreat. The host is awesome and has put together a fantastic book filled with local recommendations, including great vegan and vegetarian restaurant options. Highly recommend this fantastic Airbnb!

We found this sweet little cabin on accident and I am so glad we did! The space is so peaceful and was the perfect spot to recharge. We did a lot of hiking with our pups and checked out some of the local shops/restaurants. Everything we wanted to do was within driving distance and dog friendly :) It was a blast and we hope to come back soon!

We are locals to the area but we were looking for a private getaway from our busy life of the hustle and bustle. We spent the evening on the porch overlooking the tree tops, the hot tub was fantastic and then at dark you could see every star in the sky. We even sat & counted the airplanes passing us by. Sounds silly but this place is just what you need if you’re looking to escape the world. The directions provided were on point, we do have a 4 wheel drive but didn’t require it. I couldn’t believe this type of place existed so close to home. This is a prestige location for blissful peace! I’ve already recommended it to many friends and family and we plan to return in the fall.

Absolutely loved this place. Came for a three day getaway with my teenagers. I picked this cabin for the aesthetic, because the decor was so great. I didn’t want something that felt like a “lodge”. The cabin was perfect. It is slightly hard to find but I think they just need to put a big wooden plaque at the end of driveway! Also, I was worried because of some of the reviews—this place is very clean. You are in the middle of the woods. Of course there were spiders and cobwebs outside by the hot tub but that is completely expected!!! The fire pit was easy to find as it was sitting right at the top of the drive with the chairs. I have zero complaints and would recommend this to anyone. I love that it’s decorated more modern than other nearby cabin! Also very private neighborhood. Close to everything. Be sure to drive the scenic route nearby of the gorge! We did zip lining, horseback riding, crystal kayaks, and utvs. Amazing.

My sister in law and I had a fantastic stay! We came for my birthday weekend and it was perfect. Between all of the amenities at the cabin (beautiful showers, hot tub, full kitchen, great deck, Blackstone and more), and the amazing location - I can't say enough positive things about it! Lauren took the time to show us around and we were able to meet the animals too, which we loved. It is close to great restaurants and hiking spots too as well as the Skylift and The Gorge Underground. It was the perfect trip. Thank you again Lauren!

This was a wonderful place to stay, we could not have been happier! We are considering coming back in the fall. The only hiccup we had was arriving at dusk which made it a little more challenging then it really is. We would recommend staying here to anyone coming to the area.
