We loved our stay at Jayme and Sean's home. A beautiful, spacious place to stay tucked away in the woods. The house has so much to offer. -sofa was very relaxing -beds were very comfortable -kitchen had plenty of space to cook -beautiful back patio -just a 20min drive down the mountain to get to lots of restaurants Would highly recommend staying here! it was the perfect location for exploring all over VA.

This is our favorite place to stop on the half way point of our trips! Our second stay here was just as incredible as the first and the snacks are so appreciated!!

This property was just perfect for a weekend meeting up with old friends for a local wedding. The area is gorgeous and peaceful, and the porches in the front and back of the house are a lovely sitting area to spend time. The layout of the house is great and feels spacious while also being cozy. The only thing to keep in mind is that there is only one bathroom - certainly not a dealbreaker but it required some juggling with 6 people in the house. Overall 10/10 and we were reluctant to leave!

Patricia was an amazing hostess. Very gracious made it a home away from home. It was hard to leave for our concert nearby. Very relaxing cabin,we even slept very well there. Normally we don’t sleep well when we are away from home.

We can’t say enough about our stay at The Wooder House. The home was perfect for our group of six, giving us all our own space to retreat while also offering large spaces to enjoy meals and movies together. Our kids loved the collections of board games, vinyl records and Calvin & Hobbes books. Everything we needed was readily available and thoughtfully organized, and Amy was such an attentive and kind host for our entire stay. Our visit revolved around hiking in Shenandoah, so the home was a great base camp for our adventures. It’s about a 30 minute drive to the south entrance of the park, and 20 minutes to a variety of breweries, coffee shops and vineyards. We truly can’t wait to visit again.

Absolutely loved this place! Great trails close by, friendly neighborhood. The home was sparkling clean; check in was extremely easy. I will definitely recommend this home and will be there again!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The home was very clean. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog. We felt very at home there. It’s very quiet and the views were beautiful. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings. We were even able to take a drive to Shenandoah National park. The home looks exactly like it’s pictured. They give you access to a closet with plenty of extra linens if needed. We utilized the office, it has a nice desk in there. Kitchen is well stocked. Living room is cozy. Parking is a private drive so it was perfect. Plenty of privacy. We had a chance to meet the host, he was very friendly and welcoming making sure that we had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area. This was our first time traveling with our dog and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. It was a perfect stay.

D’s place was amazing! Peace and quiet plus a gorgeous view. Our kids loved the hike down to the river and playing bocce in the summer rain. Weather was both sunny and stormy, and it was wonderful to watch summer storms and stars all in the same night from the porch. Truly relaxed and magical. Thank you!

Susie’s place was PERFECT for my weekend of solitude and peace. I was able to relax and just take it easy in a comfortable home with a beautiful view. The home was clean and felt so comfortable. There were lots of personal touches that really show Susie put a lot of thought into the space. For example, the motion sensor nightlights in the bathrooms. And the dimmable lights in the bedroom. Check in and check out instructions were very clear and easy to follow, she even included a map of where to park! I can’t say enough great things about this experience.

We loved our stay in the Airstream! It had all the amenities we needed. We especially enjoyed the location being close to the Shenandoah National Park which made it a great home base to leave from every day for long hikes. We also enjoyed cooking on the nice gas stove after long days in the mountains. It was a great get away! We highly recommend this stay for anyone looking for a fun/creative place to stay in the area!

We had a great stay! We arrived late and were so excited and surprised to see the pool that was right across the parking lot. The next day we realized it was closed for repairs but Kathryn was very quick to respond and was able to grant us access to the resort pool. Birthday weekend for the kiddo was saved! We would definitely stay here again. Walking distance to the market and pool, even the restaurants at the resort.

We enjoyed our stay! It was nice & quiet, listening nature on the porch and using the hot tub was a couple of our favorites.

We really enjoyed our stay at your condo. It was nice to be in a newer unit. It was very clean and comfortable. The location is great being walkable to Fire and Frost, a coffee/wood fired pizza restaurant, and we prefer the upper mountain location also being walkable to golf, tennis and trails. We hope to come back to Wintergreen soon. It is a great place to relax!

Great stay! Perfect location and space was great. A tad smaller than what it looked like in the photos, but overall, great! The kitchen did not have any pantry space, but we made do with a shelf above the microwave and bins on top of the fridge. A day prior to check-in, I received an email stating the pool in the complex was closed for repairs. A bit disappointed at first, but it ended up working out really well. We had access to the SPA indoor and outdoor pools and the outdoors ended up being too cold to swim in. The indoor pool was no problem at all and they were very accommodating with lettings us have access throughout our stay. We would stay here again for sure!

I work 50 to 60 hours a week so I was really looking for an opportunity to just reset and rewind. Andrew‘s cabin was exactly what I needed. From the beginning I knew I was in great hands with how responsive and proactive he was. All of his instructions were clear and understandable and he had great food recommendations.The house had everything I needed and it’s perfect for a forgetful person like me. Had such a wonderful time sitting in the back near the fire collecting my thoughts. Definitely will be booking this place again.

Adam’s place was the perfect spot for my little weekend get away! The space was very clean and organized. Adam was super helpful the whole stay and gave us recommendations on the best place to watch the sunset. 10/10, I’ll be back again! I’d recommend this place to everyone!

Sue’s place was exactly what we needed for a quick trip to Lexington with our fur baby. She and her husband were kind and welcoming, and we felt right at home. Quick 10 minute drive to downtown and in a beautiful neighborhood with stunning views. Thank you!

It was amazing! Clean, quiet, very well decorated and comfortable, and just what I needed for a relaxing stay. The host was genuine and patient and made things very easy. The town is small, quaint and the people are very friendly. I hope to visit again!

We had a great stay in Scottsville with the 2 of us and our 2 dogs. The property is gorgeous, especially during the sunrise with the sheep all gathered around in the field in front of the cottage, a truly relaxing and picturesque place. Coming from a city, this was a great way to spend a long weekend away from the noise, we loved visiting this part of the county and definitely want to come back. Short drive to breweries, wineries, and hiking trails up towards Shenandoah NP.

I said "Home" because that's exactly what it felt like. The home was spotless, peaceful, safe, and beautifully situated close to nature — perfect for a relaxing getaway. Everything was exactly as described, and you can tell they put care into making guests feel welcome. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a calm and cozy retreat. I forgot to mention, I rate this cabin 5 Superstars out of 5 :) Thank you both for being such great hosts!

Really enjoyed our stay in the country. Thankful for all the accommodations- appreciated having extra pillows, blankets, and an air bed. Especially enjoyed the grass-fed beef. The house is well stocked and set up for guests. Beautiful setting. Excellent communications with the hosts.

This house was quaint, cute, and very comfortable! We had a small issue and our hosts were extremely responsive in ensuring all was well. The only thing I would change is the location to the primary road. It was extremely close and you could hear the intermittent traffic at night as they would drive past. We had an amazing thunderstorm and the metal roof made the sleeping cozy.
