Great two day stay for our family of four. The place is right near Turf Moor in a clean and light area. The space is recently renovated and bright. And the host is very responsive to any needs that arise. Great stay. Thank you.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Abbots Moss. It was last minute (same day booking) and everything was ready and in order. The house was definitely a home away from home which is exactly what I am looking for. We have two children and a very well behaved golden - all loved the location and the house. The grounds and lake are exquisite and so peaceful. The lounge area was beautifully decorated with sofas I would purchase for my own home. Linens are also something I look for and the beds were all lovely. We enjoyed the area, eating out at some local recommendations, visiting Hadrian's Wall, completing our first family Wainwright summit! Thank you Tamar. We would love to return!

This place exceeded our expectations. Immaculate, spacious, great location. Although it was bank holiday weekend it was so peaceful in the boathouse yet very close to the town. We loved it - a great place to meet up with friends!

A beautiful house in a lovely setting, great for family get togethers, location right on the lake was amazing, & easy access to lovely local town of Glenridding for essentials. Wide range of facilities at the cottage, we really enjoyed the private outdoor eating area next with the wood fired outdoor grill. Very nice well appointed kitchen with quality appliances, bathrooms clean and with quality fittings. Outside garden/woodland area was perfect for us and our dog, although the many steps and steep paths would not suit everyone, but this factor is clearly explained in the information host provides. We found some rooms a little dark, especially on a rainy day but there are some lovely lamps which can be moved around if required. Overall I would recommend this cottage as a great place to stay & enjoy the lake district and all it has to offer.

The lodge was fabulous, really enjoyed our stay. I even picked up a couple of decor ideas. Had a lovely time feeding the ducks, swans and other wildlife, very relaxing. Shops and amenities easy to get to by car, lovely restaurants around the area. Would absolutely recommend.

Absolutely fabulous stay! Gorgeous views and have never felt so relaxed in a short space of time. Liz and Dave’s directions were brilliant and helped us find their plot with ease. The caravan had a lovely, clean and fresh smell as we arrived and it was spotless. Beautiful surroundings and so peaceful. Considering there were so many other caravans close by, it felt really private and like it was just us there. We were gutted to come home and cannot wait to come back! We’re already planning our return trip and cannot recommend Liz and Dave’s property enough! Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

A lovely place hidden away off the A66, easily within range of Keswick and a great number of Northern Lakes Wainwirights. Comfortable and a haven away from some typical Lakeland weather!

A cozy multilevel home with lots of character. The kitchen and dining area are fairly small/cozy, but they worked for us (5 adults). The home has beautiful views and a nice private outdoor area for reading/relaxing. **Be sure to read the parking instructions, and watch the parking video.** We didn’t and so our rental van, a VW MPV almost got stuck going up the driveway that has a sharp corner. A smaller car would be ok, and definitely if it has 4WD/AWD. Even the postman spun a tire on his way up the drive. You can walk to a parking lot at the base of the hill leading to the base of Old Man Coniston trail. It’s <5 min walk up the hill and to the right, from the back of the house. You can park there for £8 for 24 hours. Old Man Coniston is a nice walk - though be aware of the weather. It was misty/foggy/windy for us - and very much so at the top - which made it quite an adventure. We needed a phone/gps map to complete the loop trail.

Everything about this Airbnb is perfect. We went as a group of 6, the place was spotless and very spacious. Craig was very helpful and very responsive. Superb place to go and relax.

Excellent location, very tranquil with views of the fells. Very convenient for walking the main peaks. The house was as described, the beds very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. There were even some teabags and cooking oil there which i had forgotten to bring! Hilary was super helpful and always responded promptly to our queries. The only downside of the house is the size of the downstairs rooms. It was perfect for us as a party of four, but larger groups might struggle to fit everyone into just one living room or eating area, although there is plenty of both across all the downstairs rooms. We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The location is idyllic and very peaceful and there are many wonderful walks from the cottage so once there you don’t need to use the car. The bedrooms are lovely and the beds very comfortable and the kitchen had the items we needed to make our stay easy. We would definitely stay again. Thanks Alex

Elisabeth's property is a great place located in a beautiful area, that is extremely close to shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs. Located close to Skiddaw and Lake Derwent, you can leave the house and chose a hike of your choice. The house is equipped with everything you need and I will be looking to return when back in the area.

Such a beautiful place to stay - incredible views and so peaceful - just birdsong. The house was perfect - super comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, warm and clean. Thank you for the lovely bread too - such a nice touch. Would very much recommend.

This is a great house to stay in, close to the centre of town, very quiet, spacious, and with a well equipped kitchen. Parking was only a problem on the busy market day we arrived, otherwise it was easy to find a nearby park - usuallu just outside the house. Justin was very helpful prior to our arrival, with quick responses to queries. Overall we would be very happy to to return to this lovely house.

Lovely location right by Scafell (30 mins from start car park) lovely dog walks out the front door onto the beach. Ideal for our trip - secure garden and dog friendly!

A great find in a good location. We were able to walk to local amenities, cafes and restaurants in 10-15 minutes. The house had plenty of room for 5 adults. Two full bathrooms and an extra separate toilet made for easy living, especially after a day of running, biking and swimming. The top floor shower was extremely effective! The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cleaning products, however be aware there’s no freezer. Stunning views from the lounge and two bedrooms upstairs, whilst the lower floor bedroom had a lovely little patio. There is parking although tight for today’s vehicles. We had a short wheel base Mercedes Vito van and medium family car. The car just fit on the drive and the van outside the house, as close to the car as we could get so as not to be in the way of any neighbours. No problem if you have small cars. The interior decor and furniture is a little dated but this house is a perfect base for a Lakes holiday. Jim was always very helpful. I would recommend.

We had a lovely stay. The house was really well decorated, clean, and perfect for my three girls! We’d definitely recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a base to explore the area!

Clean, peaceful house within minutes of abundant amenities of Keswick with numerous walks from the front door or via nearby bus stops. Perfect.

Annabel is a great person and very helpful. She suggested few places to visit, which comes out worthy to visit. She is very responsive with all of our questions. I definitely want to visit this place again soon. It’s a perfect getaway from crowds and spend some time with nature without any disturbances.

Amazing place to stay in the Lake District. A group of friends and I stayed here for 4 nights whilst we were exploring the Lake District and it was the perfect place to stay for what we needed. Great location with amazing views over Morecambe bay and plenty of things to do. The property was immaculate and very spacious. Cleanliness was not an issue. Our host was also very easy to contact and communicate with. I would most definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Lake District.
