Hideaway Cottage in the heart of Windermere

Built in 1878, our traditional Lakeland cottage has 2 private parking spaces and is situated in the heart of Windermere, one minute's walk from the shops, restaurants and pubs. It is a well appointed country style cottage offering space and great features. It has a private patio with dining furniture at the rear. The sitting room, kitchen & dining room are on the ground floor, 3 bedrooms and 2 newly installed bathrooms are on the 1st floor and a TV room and utility room are in the cellar.

A romantic, stylish and cosy cottage for two in the beautiful Lake District National Park, half a mile from the shores of Lake Windermere and a 20 minute drive from Junction 36 of the M6. We are dog friendly. Our 250 year old cottage features modern rustic decor, u/f heating, log burner, super-fast internet, Smart TV, Sonos sound system and a complimentary podPoint 7kw EV charger. There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.

Smithy Cottage - Cosy Lake District retreat

Smithy Cottage makes up the first floor of the converted smithy in the heart of the village of Staveley. When you climb the external stone staircase and open the front door you will find a perfectly formed cosy cottage conveniently laid out on one floor. It’s full of history and character, with beamed lounge and wooden floors. It is the perfect place to relax with family and friends after a busy day exploring the Lake District. Just 4 miles from Windermere. Bus route 555 stops very near.

La'al Yam is a delightful cosy cottage with wonderful views and full of charm. It's surrounded by gardens and wildlife. A place for rest and relaxation, where you can completely unwind. It is the East wing of Hylands, decorated in sympathy with Arts and Crafts principles. Quality finishes and materials throughout, using local suppliers and crafts people. It is 12 minutes walk from Kendal's many independent shops and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to our local pub the 'Rifleman's Arms'.

Directly from the door you can enjoy some of the best walks the Lake District has to offer. Staveley is a gateway to other towns and villages such as Kendal and Windermere via bus or train. Please note we allow a maximum of 4 guests including infants we only allow 1 small/medium dog per booking. (Dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture)

Belonging to the 17th century Grade II listed High Greenrigg House, it offers all the modern conveniences whilst retaining the character of such an historic building. Afternoons on the patio watching the sheep are highly recommended!

Converted Barn, Patterdale in the Lake District

Welcome to Crook a Beck Barn, Patterdale a former Cart Barn which we lovingly restored during 2017. The Barn is located on the original coach road in the hamlet of Crook a Beck, next to the village of Patterdale, in the heart of the Lake District, in one of the most beautiful Lake District valleys. During peak season - April to the end of October, 7 nights minimum stay with a Friday changeover. Short breaks may be available so please drop us a message to ask!

Fellfoot Cottage in the Lake District

Fellfoot Cottage is a 19th century bobbin mill workers cottage in Staveley at the mouth of the Kentmere Valley, surrounded by stunning scenery. On the ground floor there is a cosy living room with a log burning fire, original floorboards and a window seat, leading through to a dining kitchen with a further log burning fire. To the rear is an outhouse and a detached rear garden. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms with king sized beds and a family bathroom.
