I enjoyed my short stay, it felt very safe and private which was perfect for some R&R. There was some light noise of passing cars and bikes heard from the bedroom, which is unavoidable given the location, but this did not dampen my stay or sleep - it didn't deter the local tawny owl either! Parking was very easy which was great, and instructions provided for finding the location were very helpful and much appreciated. Very comfortable furniture, good shower, nice to have a full kitchen and TV with apps for Netflix, Disney+, etc. Just what I needed.

We had a really wonderful stay at Angela’s cottage! Although small, it has everything you need for a great stay - tea, coffee, dog/cat bags, all dishes and utensils necessary to cook at home, etc. Plenty of local recommendations in pamphlets to look through. Very comfy sofa and bed as well. The shared garden outside is very beautiful, especially in the spring, with lots of flowers and insects buzzing about. Finally, Angela is a fantastic host - extremely responsive and thoughtful! We highly recommend if you’re visiting Shaftesbury!

My husband and I had a lovely stay at this peaceful countryside retreat. The setting was beautiful—quiet, scenic, and the perfect spot to unwind. The place itself was spotless and really well looked after, which made us feel right at home straight away. One of our favourite touches was the added breakfast—it really elevated the whole experience and made our mornings that much more enjoyable. We’d happily come back and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a restful getaway in the country.

We had a great time at this house. It’s is huge so plenty of room for larger groups. Lots of cupboards so the kids had an amazing time playing hide and seek! Fabulous sociable Kitchen, well stocked with utensils. The weather was not great when we were there so our plans to go out for a family picnic turned into roast dinner and it was like home from home! All rooms and bathrooms spotlessly clean. There is a log burner which pleased my husband no end, and as soon as we reached out to Colin and sue for some logs, they appeared. It is no longer a working farm so there weren’t any animals like in the pictures and no fresh eggs but we walked to the nearby farm shop which was a pleasant walk and saw some alpacas on some neighbouring land! We only had drinks when we went but the food looked amazing. The games room has a small football/pool table but our only observation was that there were no boards games/books/cards/jigsaw etc to occupy everyone if you do happen get stuck in.
