Family-friendly holiday rentals in Stow

My friends and I have made stopping at the Penthouse an annual kick-off to our summer on our way to Sandusky. Rob is incredibly kind and friendly and even happened to see us bringing in our luggage and offered to help carry them up. Wooster is such a charming little town with lots to do (cute shops, lots of great restaurants/coffeeshops, etc) and the space made us feel right at home, so much so that on our first visit we decided to come back over and over.

AZ Longhorn was exactly what we needed for a getaway! This beautiful cabin was even better than the pictures, secluded, peaceful and simply perfect. Private yet close to wonderful restaurants, coffee shops & shopping. Barb was a fantastic host - so kind, responsive & gave great recommendations. It was a great romantic getaway but would be a great family get away too. We can’t wait to bring our kids next time. Thanks again, Barb!

This was our second stay and it didn’t disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed our girls’ weekend getaway and the on location massages were the cherry on top. We will be back!

To keep it short & simple.. everything was fabulous. Owner seemed very nice. Very helpful and responsive with any questions. They gave us complete privacy but made sure we knew exactly how to reach them if we needed ANYTHING. The cabin is very organized, labeled, clean, ect. My personal favorite was the screened-in porch. Really appreciated the fact that they left a large wagon right where we park so we could take all our things to the cabin in one trip. Would highly recommend!

We definitely enjoyed the beautiful cabin and grounds, as well as the Pool Table, Slot Machine, Golden Tee Golf Game, Theater Room, Hot Tub, and all the other amenities. The beautiful Peacocks and Cats were also great to see. The Scavenger Hunt was enjoyed by all our guests. Alan and Laura were very responsive to our needs and are great hosts. The cabin was well stocked with anything we needed and we had a great time.

Fantastic spot! PERFECT if you are with a couple of friends or looking for a convenient place so you can bounce around downtown Wooster!

Bill was a great host! His home was cozy, clean, and had everything you could think of! We stayed at the house to be closer to our wedding venue and it was a very relaxing environment! Will be staying there again in the future!

We absolutely loved the property. It was so nice to have the option to use the grill/ fire pit/ back yard. My husband loved being able to just walk down a few steps to enjoy fishing—which he did every morning and evening. We were only about an hour from Marblehead where we went to see the lighthouse and then took a ferry to Kelley’s Island. On the island, we recommend seeing the Glacial Grooves and the North Shore Alvar. Then an hour in the other direction, we were able to enjoy the views from the observation tower at Lake Erie Bluffs. And very nearby was Lakeview Park, which had a beach area with swimming. The views from the back yard at sunset were stunning. We had everything we needed for a nice relaxing stay by the water. Thank you!

This home is a great place for large groups staying in the area. Brad provides ample amount of kitchenware, toiletries and other things. Place is well clean and has fun amenities. We enjoyed the karaoke machine. It is located in a great area and is close to downtown and Cuyahoga Falls.

Barry is an excellent host- everything was easy. House walkable distance to restaurants and gym. Close to grocery stores, Pet Smart and Target. Quiet street. Fenced in backyard great for my dog. This home was perfect for my extended stay in Cleveland and I hope it will be available when I need to return.

Great stay! The house reminded us of a real-life Clue game with “secret” passages that connected each room. They did an amazing job of modernizing things enough to be functional, while still honoring the historic nature of the house. Breakfast and fresh fruit was such a nice touch and we are so grateful!

Tyler's place was just as described. Price was great!

Marks place was beautiful. The house was just like the pics showed. All open concept downstairs and beautiful bedrooms upstairs. We took our dogs and they loved it. Fenced in back yard, very peaceful place. String of lights outside on deck is perfect for evenings to sit out. Also has a grill so you can BBQ out as well. Not far from town either. There were a couple cute little diners and restaurants that we checked out. Highly recommend Marks place. Would definitely love to visit again.

Great accommodations! My family and I were in town for a concert and appreciated the proximity to the venue and other fun activities. The neighborhood was quiet and not too busy, which was great for us. Check-in and checkout were easy and smooth! We would stay here again!

This place was amazing! The view is perfect, everything is exactly as pictured. The communication from the owner was quick and efficient every time. They had everything you could possibly need. Plenty of super soft towels and washcloths, comfy bed, everything we could need for the kitchen. The smart tv and the shower were wonderful. We had a relaxing getaway and would highly recommend this condo to anyone.

Jeff's place was amazing, so much we booked another night. we will definitely come back again! Jeff was very helpful, he answered any questions we had. I highly recommend his place!

We stayed at Michael’s condo for 4 days. It was just as described on the website. It is a nice, older complex but the condo itself has had renovations. The complex is right on Lake Erie with a beach front. We were unable to use the beach due to weather but it is a lovely setting. Nice balcony with lake view. There is a convenience store & restaurant right across the street. There is a park just down the street. Geneva on the Lake strip is close by & we saw many using golf carts which are available for rental close by. The condo is well stocked, with extra linens. Kitchen looks well stocked though we didn’t cook. Everything was in working order. Comfortable bed & plenty of closet space. We would stay there again if in the area. Michael was very responsive to any inquiries. We had no problems at all while there.

Visited with our whole family as a surprise gift for our parents 50th wedding anniversary. Loved we had the entire place to ourselves. Fun, unique stay. Tom the Turkey was a family favorite. Loved all the animals! Trails were great; especially the view from the top overlooking the whole valley area. Pool area and ping pong were fun! So convenient that we didn't even need to bring pool towels. Plenty of space for outdoor games. Enjoyed the Farmhouse porch and playing cards inside as well. They even provided an extra card table and chairs when we mentioned we would be playing euchre. Kitchens were well stocked with anything we needed. Barn house had so much character! Super Cozy!! Air Conditioning worked great in all 3 places. Hosts were very nice answering all our questions and chatting about the farm. Would love to come back again sometime.

Michael was a great host and his place will be our new home away from home. It is the perfect getaway in every way imaginable. An amazing view of the lake!! We absolutely loved it and can’t wait until our next trip to Michael’s condo and GOTL.

Very peaceful with plenty of indoor and outdoor space We stayed for a Thanksgiving gathering in New Philadelphia and the property was very convenient and Kari was so friendly & helpful Would love to rent this property in the summer months! Thank you

Our stay at The Lodge on the Hill in Sugarcreek was amazing. It is a wonderful place for family/friends to spend quality time with one another. This is the 3rd time we have stayed at The Lodge-it never disappoints. The amenities are plentiful, the view beautiful and the host is readily available. The Lodge on the Hill is highly recommended.

Cabin was beautiful as promised, loved that we didn’t have a full set of check out cleaning rules, very clean and had everything my family and I needed for our stay!
