Holiday rentals with lake access in Stresa

We had a lovely time, Davide’s beautiful home was in the perfect location as you walked out of the door if you looked to your left the lake is in view and everywhere was extremely walkable. Everything was extremely clean and also was equipped with everything you may need. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone visiting the picturesque town of Arona.

Paola is a super host, she makes you feel right at home, including our 2yr old border collie. The lake view at the flat is the highlight of our stay. The little personal touch provided by Paola is the added bonus on top. The garden and the surrounding hikes and lake is absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommended

We really enjoyed our stay at Fiorella's house, which was perfectly located in a peaceful environment. Fiorella was really responsive and welcoming. The house is well adapted to a small family. We will definitely come back to Fiorella's house

Casa Longhi is a beautiful place located right in the centre of this historic village and close to the lake. The casa is historic (built in 1456 - note; the plumbing has been upgraded since! 🤣). It retains its old world charm and ambiance. It is has a very comfy bed and everything was spotlessly clean. The washing machine is a bonus. Nicolo is a fabulous friendly host. Highly recommended - Grazie.!!

The view of lake Lugano from the balcony is very amazing. AC is also very helpful during our stay in extreme heat. I changed my previously planned Airbnb to it due to the heat we will encounter. Great place.

Es gibt den zahlreichen positiven Berichten eigentlich nichts hinzu zu fügen, ich kann sie im Grunde nur wiederholen und bestätigen! Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet mit einem tollen, neuen Bad, einem sehr bequemen Bett (Doppelzimmer 1.Stock) und viel Stauraum. Obwohl das Haus keine Klimaanlage hat, haben wir mit der hervorragenden Beschattung (elektrische Holzrolläden!!) und den Ventilatoren trotz hoher Temperaturen gut geschlafen. Der Blick auf den See ist traumhaft und wir haben viel Zeit auf der bestens ausgestatteten Terrasse verbracht! Andererseits fanden wir es sehr angenehm, dass man alle Restaurants und auch die kleine Liegewiese am See problemlos zu Fuß erreichen kann. Aber abgesehen von all den Vorzügen Hauses muss man insbesondere die herzliche Gastfreundschaft von Cristina und Paolo hervorheben! Nochmals vielen Dank dafür! Ich bin sicher, dass wir in den nächsten Jahren wieder kommen!

Bij aankomst een eigen parkeerplek en een laadpaal op 150 meter. Het huisje ligt op een prachtige plek met een schitterende tuin vanwaaruit je zo via een trapje het water in kunt. Volledige keuken uitrusting, grote slaapkamer en prima badkamer. Huiskamer ietwat klein maar prima. Restaurants niet beloopbaar. Ilario is vriendelijk en altijd bereid je te helpen.

Ivan est un hôte parfait et son logement ne l'est pas moins ! Vue splendide et apaisante sur le lac d'orta. Matériaux de qualité pour cette construction récente et bien conçue dans les moindres détails. Le plus, plage privée tranquille sur le lac à 500m a pied. Merci Ivan.

Wir waren vor einigen Jahren schon einmal da - es hat uns damals wie heute richtig gut gefallen. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und bietet genug Raum, um sich auch mal drinnen aufzuhalten (bei Krabbelkindern ist ein sonnenfreier Platz mit Klimaanlage zwischendurch auch toll :)). Die Möglichkeit, sich unten einen Cappuccino zu holen und auf dem eigenen Balkon zu trinken, haben wir da dann auch gerne genutzt. Die Kommunikation mit Francesca war sehr unkompliziert und schnell, Check-in und Check-out waren ebenfalls sehr einfach und flexibel. Wir können uns durchaus vorstellen, auch noch ein drittes Mal hierher zu kommen. :)

Wir hatten eine super Zeit bei Andrea und Orsola und können den Aufenthalt dort wärmstens empfehlen! Die beiden sind super aufmerksam und haben viele gute Tipps für die Umgebung. Die Unterkunft ist wirklich sehr schön und sowohl das Haus als auch der botanische Garten sind mit Liebe zum Detail hergerichtet. Die Lage bietet super Möglichkeiten für Aktivitäten in der Umgebung und bietet zugleich viel Ruhe! Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt und die wirklich super Empfehlungen!

The apartment is a dream – spacious, cozy, and perfectly located right by the water with a beautiful view. We truly enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend it!

This Airbnb is an absolute gem. Everyone says it’s even better than the photos—and they’re right. The view is stunning, and the lake is literally just across the street. Parking is super easy and just a minute or two walk away. The place itself was a total surprise: spacious, spotless, full of light, and with everything you need. It’s clear the layout was thoughtfully opened up—feels like a high-end modern loft, but with a warm, eclectic interior. We instantly felt at home. Gabriele, Thamanja, and Andrea were incredible hosts: professional, super responsive, friendly, and helpful at every step. You can feel they really care. Porto Ceresio itself is a beautiful area with so much charm and nature to explore. We absolutely loved our time here and would come back in a heartbeat. Five stars aren’t enough—thank you for such a memorable stay!

Pierangelo hat meine 5 Sterne mehr als verdient. Alles war bicobello. Besonders genossen haben wir den Balkon mit der fantastischen Aussicht auf den See, ganz besonders am Morgen und am Abend, wenn die Strasse verkehrsfrei war. Wir haben auch die Fahrräder der Unterkunft genutzt, sie brauchten einen kleinen Service aber es hat sich gelohnt. Wir haben kleine Städte besucht, waren am Mergozzo- und am Ortasee und mit dem Stand up paddle auf dem Lago Maggiore. Alles war in kurzer Zeit erreichbar. Pierangelo und seine Frau haben Mitte Woche sogar frische Wäsche gebracht. Sie waren sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit und jederzeit telefonisch erreichbar. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet um Mahlzeiten zuzubereiten, sogar ein Backofen ist vorhanden. Für das Auto haben wir die ganze Woche problemlos freie Gratisparkplätze gefunden. (Juni) Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

Es ist eine wunderschöne Unterkunft in ruhiger, von schöner Natur umgebener Lage. Man sollte allerdings sehr gut zu Fuß unterwegs sein, oder ein Auto besitzen. Und man sollte fit im Serpentinen Fahren sein. 😂 Alles in Allem ein fantastischer Aufenthalt, den wir nur weiter empfehlen können.

Wir waren 1 Woche mit 2 mittelgroßen Hunden in der Unterkunft. Schöner umzäunter Garten allerdings nicht unbedingt ausbruchsicher, je nach Größe und Willen des Hundes. Tolle Aussicht, viele Wanderwege. Schöner kleiner Ort, ca. 30 Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand durch den Wald. Sehr nette Gastgeber. Das Restaurant im Ort war gut mit freundlicher Bedienung. Duschen war wegen der Stufe in der Wanne etwas abenteuerlich.

Nous étions un groupe de 9 personnes et nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison au bord du lac Majeur. L’emplacement est absolument magnifique, avec une vue imprenable. Le chemin pour y accéder nous aura donné quelques frissons mais le jardin est un vrai havre de paix, parfait pour profiter du calme et de la nature environnante. L'arrivée autonome et le départ autonome nous aura donné beaucoup de flexibilité, les instructions de Stefano et sa réactivité était parfaites. Un grand merci pour l’accueil chaleureux et tous les petits détails qui ont rendu notre séjour si agréable.

First of all, this location is absolutely outstanding. It is directly on the lake just south of town. The island is front and center and it is so peaceful and quiet. We loved lounging next to the lake in the afternoons, watching the ducks swim and the boats sail by. The “cottage” itself is compact but perfectly comfortable for 2-3 people. It is very bright and airy, although it would have been great to have screens on the sliding glass doors so we could have breezes at night. We had an unusual check in experience, which was mostly our own fault. We followed the check in directions online; we should have read the House Rules before check in! Because we didn’t, we ended up in the wrong house where the keys didn’t work, so we climbed in a window, only to subsequently learn that someone else lived there! So DO read the House Rules before arrival. Our only suggestion…the cottage is not as well stocked as other AirBnB’s where we have stayed. AirBnB should have a minimum level expect

We were very kindly hosted by Valerie's father Angelo, who was always available for questions during our entire stay. Angelo was always super friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome. The cute boathouse and the large property on which it stands is simply a dream. You can't live any closer to the water. Everything is very lovingly arranged and furnished. As you can see in the photos, the interior is rather 'rustic'. If you prefer modern and minimalist, this is not the place for you. We found it very cozy. The bed has spring mattresses, which are rather hard. If you want a softer bed, you might want to bring a topper :) We really enjoyed our stay in this little paradise and would love to come back! Thank you Angelo for the great time with you.

This place is truly one of a kind. Simply the most exceptional place I have been to. Great restaurants nearby, directly accessible by boat. We just loved cruising around the lake with the small motor boat, it made everything feel more special. The place itself is unique, as only very few houses are available in Santa Margherita. Lots of birds to watch, but the icing on the cake was all the fireflies at night that sparkle in the dark, really magical. But above all, Mattia was the friendliest, most helpful host and made everything nice and comfortable for us.

Wir haben wunderschöne 4 Tage im Haus verbracht. Die Lage ist genial und der private Strand ist einfach traumhaft. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war schnell und unkompliziert. Das Haus ist sauber und der Garten mit der wunderschönen Aussicht ist genial. Wir waren 2 Erwachsene mit 2 Hunden und für uns war es perfekt. Die Hunde können nicht vom privaten Strand ins Wasser (Wasser ist nur über 2 Leitern begehbar) aber 10m vom Haus entfernt können sie ganz einfach baden. Die Stelle ist toll um mit den Hunden zu baden. Die Wendeltreppe war für unsere (Mittelgrossen) Hunde auch nicht machbar aber sie haben problemlos oben im Wohnzimmer geschlafen und wir schliefen unten im Schlafzimmer. Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht und das Recyclin System vom Gastgeber perfekt vorbereitet. Alles war sehr sauber bei unserer Ankunft. Wir haben unseren Urlaub hier sehr genossen und werden definitiv wieder zurückkommen.
