Cabin holiday rentals in Summersville Lake

We loved our stay here to explore Summersville Lake! Sarah put a lot of attention and detail to the decor in the space. We loved the extra amenities like the hot tub and washer/dryer. We would definitely stay here again!

The cabin is beautiful. It is definitely not for people taller than 5'5 there is not much space between the floor and ceiling. The decorations are absolutely gorgeous. It was pretty quiet however there were a lot of other cabins/houses on the property which is not listed in the details of the ad. The hot tub didn't stay hot so we only used it once. I would definitely recommend fixing it or replacing it for future guests. Other than those two minor details Skippers cabin is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway.

Wonderful property that is secluded but also has lots of space. The fire pit and hot tub were great for spending time outside, and it's super close to the national park.

The place was quite nice for a weekend getaway with kids and a pet. It’s private and surrounded by beautiful trees. Also, it’s a short drive from New River Gorge and other nice nature spots. Myla was an amazing host, super proactive! We hope to be back soon!

Location made traveling to lots of New River Gorge (NRG) sites easy and we made the trip to Charleston in just >1hr to spend a day. The food, shops, and charm of Fayetteville as a "just down the road" destination was a huge perk. Great balance of privacy and proximity

This was a great stay that was right next to Hawks Nest State Park and within 10 minutes or so of the northern part of New River Gorge National Park. We prefer to cook our own food when we travel and this place had a nice little kitchen and charcoal grill. I would maybe suggest adding either an extra table inside or a picnic table outdoors just to have a bit more surface space for food prep but otherwise no complaints. The hot tub was very relaxing after lots of hiking. Hoping to return to the area and stay here again next year.

We loved this place! It was close to everything but really felt secluded, so peaceful and quiet and with the lovely sound of the creek outside! Loved soaking in the hot tub watching the fireflies everywhere! The cabin was so clean, the bed very comfortable, and they thought of everything- extra toothbrushes, toiletries, teas and snacks...anything you miht need. Host very responsive too! We would definitely stay here again.

The cabin had everything we needed, was 10 minutes down the road from the bridge walk, and was very clean. It was great to sit on the porch in the rocking chairs and sip coffee in the morning!

The place was perfect for what we were looking for- my son and I stayed at the cabin while we were exploring New River Gorge NP. There's not a lot of space, but if you just need a basecamp, it was perfect. It was wonderful to have a comfy bed, an A/C, and a roof over our head when it was storming at night (rather than in a tent). The fridge with a freezer was helpful to re-freeze our freeze packs and keep the drinks cool. The bathroom was amazing- seemed brand new and was great to have a shower/bathroom to ourselves. The available coffee/toiletries were also very appreciated. We would stay here again if we returned to the area.

The house was beautiful with a peaceful location! We were able to relax and do some fishing and hiking trails to beautiful waterfalls. Great home for kids as well with lots of toys and kid friendly accommodations! Very clean and comfortable bedding!

Roger’s place was just what we needed for our trip. It’s so close to almost everything. I do recommend this for couple or 2-3 people comfortably. We’d come back here again if available!

This is a spacious comfortable cabin. Plenty of room to relax in. Even a little wardrobe area for clothes that was nice. We found the location to be good for taking day trips out to different locations in the region.

We loved our stay and will definitely be back next time we are in the area. Everything was exactly like the pictures. It was in close proximity to New River Gorge National Park and the hot tub was phenomenal after a long day of hiking. It was quiet and private and the stars were beautiful at night. Would definitely recommend staying here

We had a great time here! It was a fantastic location and the house was very comfortable. We appreciated the coffee provided. The host was wonderful and easy to communicate with. It was perfect for our Memorial Day getaway and we’d highly recommend!

It was a very nice cabin, the hot tub was amazing after rafting in the cold water. Good kitchen to make meals in and a great place to hang out!

Lory was able to accommodate us at last minute and we were so grateful. Cabin was simple but was all we needed. Location was super conveniently located to climbing and restaurants.

"Almost Heaven" lived up to its name! We would leave a 10-star rating if we could. Gary and Julie were excellent hosts, communicated extremely well and always available if we needed anything. The place is adorable and was stocked with many items to make our stay comfortable -- they even provided us breakfast foods, coffee and snacks to get us going! It was so much fun to stay in this historic cabin right across from the River Gorge National Park and a block from one of the best hiking trails in the park. We also loved the jacuzzi after a long day of hiking. Private and beautiful location and still just short 10 minute drive from restaurants, grocery stores and other other "city" needs. Absolutely one of THE BEST Airbnbs we have ever stayed at and we highly recommend "Almost Heaven".

we loved the cabin, we needed a peaceful getaway and we love cabins getaways. Kevin was an awesome host, he was easy to contact and answer all our questions.The cabin felt cozy and we loved having the stream right off the deck. only 1 thing we would change...the bed felt small and mattress hard. But for 2 nights we could deal with that. Over all an enjoyable getaway.

Genuinely enjoyed my time, felt very cosy and comfortable. Cute lil cabin for solo or couples vacation spot!

We’ve stayed at several places over the years and this is by far our favorite! So spacious, clean, beautiful, and stocked with everything we needed. Jason was a responsive and kind host from booking to check out. Comfy beds. Great location! Close to the national park and several great restaurants, yet still felt private, peaceful, and quiet. Highly recommend and would stay here again without question!

Delores's cabin is wonderful. It was very cozy and quiet. The property is private and met all of our needs.

Kellie made our wedding anniversary and my daughter’s 16th birthday very special with personal gifts/cards. She went above and beyond to make the place perfect for our stay and made sure that we had a barbecue available to celebrate, just as we had requested. The place is as advertised and close to major attractions. Highly recommended for someone looking to visit New River Gorge.
