the place was beautiful furnished, a real home away from home. there was a cute little basket full of good information about the area, walks, restaurants, and other useful information. The kitchen was amazingly stocked, there even Marmite! It was a cold ish weekend, the place was nice and warm without need for heating (which was available) Aroha was super responsive and great to deal with. the place looks quite small from outside but is actually super roomey. walking distance to the beach with a great view from the deck, I can imagine how great it would be on a summer day! Loved everything about it, highly recommend and will definitely stay there again if Aroha will have us :)

Absolutely stunning stay! My husband and I were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves as the other cabin wasn't booked. The views are incredible from the cabins and the star gazing was amazing. Irina is so nice and friendly, she welcomed us and ensured we had everything we needed. We had breakfast cooked by Irina and her lovely mum Nina and it was just wonderful. The puff pastries and homemade honey were delicious. We purchased some honey to take back to England with us, it was that good! Thank you for the best stay!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Bruce’s place. Warm and inviting, clean and tidy with everything you need, Bruce waited and welcomed me into the cottage before leaving me to be. Conveniently located not far from Kaikohe township, but in a peaceful location where you don’t take notice of the traffic. Definitely a place to stay and return to if you’re in Kaikohe.

Very easy communication. Everything was just as described. Very clean. Comfy bed. Every thing really well presented. Obviously a much loved cottage, the modern additions to such an historic home have been beautifully done without altering the essential character of such an old house. We felt privileged to been welcomed into this beautiful piece of Kohukohu's history. Would recommend breakfast on the deck to watch the sunrise. Thank you Olivia. I would love to return one day.
