Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Talkeetna

Not enough kind things to say about our experience! So peaceful, Sarah is responsive, very clean and cozy. Great are for walking to the lake. Comfy beds. We highly recommend!

Our family had a great time together and would recommend this rental home. The dog leads left on a few trees were a nice find and appreciated. Thank you :)

David and Heather were super stars to accommodate our changing plans. we appreciate their prompt responses and their help in putting together a very last minute trip to Talkeetna. Their cabin was cute and cozy in true Alaskan style. They thought through everything that we might possibly need for our stay, from water for coffee (in the dry cabin) to hooks and shelves exactly where we needed them. The shared bathroom was also kept neat and clean which is usually a feat in itself. Thanks for a great stay!

Wild’s place was as advertised. Big three bedrooms and two nice clean bathrooms. The kitchen had all that was needed with nice stove, refrigerator, cookware, utensils, and plates, bowls, cups, and wine glasses. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean. Arrival and departure instructions for the home could have been better, but was not an issue. The kitchen needed a microwave, but we got by with what was on hand. Also, could use a wine bottle cork opener, but got by with a screw, screwdriver, and pliers. We were able to use the grill and fire pit and both charcoal and firewood was available. The living room could use some more comfortable seating ( only one three person sofa),but we just used the kitchen table chairs for extra seating. Overall it was a great experience, we just improvised on the few things that were lacking. If I were to return to Talkeena, I would not hesitate to stay at Wild’s home. Wild communicated was good and he checked in to make sure all was well

Had a great stay at the Willow Cottage! Very peaceful location and easy to travel to Denali or back to Anchorage.

The guest house was near downtown making everywhere walkable! My kids loved the ping pong table and piano to play. Excellent choice with kids!

Had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at this place. Very thankful for the wood stove as the weather was cold. the bed and pillows we so comfy, would definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at this house! Very centrally located with lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Got some great views of Mt. Denali just down the street!

Meghaan’s Birch View cabin was the most lovey stay I’ve had with Airbnb thusfar. It was private, with a great location just outside of town. The shower felt amazing and it was great to do a light load of laundry before the drive back to Fairbanks! It was the perfect getaway with my partner and dog. Highly recommend!

The Spruce Cabin was wonderful! It was conveniently located just a short drive off of the Talkeetna spur and was very easy to find. Check-in was easy and the cabin was tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. The location was private and quiet, yet was less than a 10 minute drive to downtown Talkeetna. The cabin was warm and cozy despite near-zero temps and snow. Check out was easy and David graciously allowed us a late checkout so we could attend a local sled dog kennel tour and dog sled experience. His hospitality and kindness were greatly appreciated and it made for a truly memorable stay!

Utterly magical place and an amazing host -- so generous and kind and detailed. Can't imagine a better place to stay at or a richer encounter!

Great stay. Natalie was very responsive. The cabin was in a beautiful, quiet area but still close to Talkeetna. Would recommend.

Perfect stay to be able to explore the great outdoors and still enjoy a cozy bed and well stocked house with all the essentials. Was able to go south one day thru Hatcher Pass to Palmer. The next day we took a Denali flight seeing tour in Talkeetna (15 minutes from house) followed by a drive to explore Denali NP by land. Location was perfect to not have to shuffle all of our things to every stop with us.

The Wiley Wolf is great ! Super good location, very clever and creative workmanship in a comfortable cabin. We highly recommend it for anyone staying in Talkeetna.

This was just perfect. It is outside Talkeetna but quiet and only about a 15 minute drive to town. the house was very cozy and the porch was a great place to relax and enjoy nature. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall, we had a nice/fun stay at Destiny’s! The place was clean, and quiet! The s’mores and hot tub were a nice touch! Destiny was very communicative and was quite helpful when we had to deal with some technical issues with Airbnb. The only issue for us was that the hot tub was too close to the host’s residence. The camper was not very far either, it was within earshot/eye-view of the host’s house so it did not feel very private or secluded. Although, this was the case, it should be noted that the hosts were very quiet, and respectful! Thank you kindly for your hospitality!

This house was great! Super charming and everything Alaska! At least what I would think of as Alaskan. Joe was very responsive and the accommodations were exactly as described and very clean! The kitchen was well appointed and we made a nice breakfast in the morning. The furniture was comfortable. The location is super convenient as we walked into town for dinner and a drink afterwards. The only disappointment is that we didn't get to see a plane take off or land on the runway. LOL! Next time, Joe will have t o take us for a ride!

This was a beautiful place and loved our stay. Our kids enjoyed the lake and house a lot - so much they started missing it once we left. Andrew was very helpful and proactive in communicating with us and made it very easy.

Loved this property! The hardwood floors are amazingly beautiful. Maintained with care. The beds were super comfy, xtra blankets and pillows. The master bath double shower with smooth pebble floor was out of this world. Oh and big fluffy towels🤗 Appreciated the complimentary coffee in the mornings and oh so relaxing hot tub before bed. Additionally, theres 2 hiking areas with multiple trails on Comsat Rd. Old town Talkeetna is a must see, rich history with a hippy vibe, loved it. Pro tip…..buy your groceries at Cubby’s before you get to the house….groceries in old town Talkeetna are triple the price with a small selection, ok in a pinch. All in all, i’m super glad we spent 4 nights, gave us plenty of time to really explore! ❤️❤️❤️’ed it!!
