Cabin holiday rentals in Taylor Park Reservoir

We recently stayed at Jay’s place in Alma for a ski trip, and we had the best time. The accommodation was perfect and, honestly, one of the best Airbnbs I have ever stayed in. The level of detail he’s put into all the little things makes for such an exceptional stay. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a nice, cozy stay away from the noise but close to the ski field.

This was such an amazing week with the family. The house was beautiful, tucked into such a great place to explore. We love hiking and hiked everyday we stayed. There’s great little trail close to the house for a short hike. Then we went up to Wheeler Lake (still snowy/runoff). Still super fun! Beaver creek for a relaxing hike. Hot tub every night watching the wildlife wander by. Didn’t see Sheila! Maybe another time. Thank you so much Jody!

Mark & Nancy were on top of everything before we got to the cabin. From vehicle recommendations to all of the info we needed to get in. The airbnb was stocked with everything we needed along with fun card and board games to keep everyone entertained. One couple on the trip even got engaged at the top of the hill right by the airbnb with the beautiful mountains in the background! 10/10 would recommend.

Our family had an amazing time and thoroughly enjoyed our cabin stay. We celebrated my son’s birthday and Mother’s Day together. My son always likes to go on a trip/experience for his birthday and this was the cabin he chose. Picturesque views. Weather was great. The cabin really helps you feel right at home while soaking up the relaxation. We really had a great time.

Absolutely bliss. Gorgeous. Mountain View from the hot tub was my favorite. A great hike less than 10 minutes away. Quiet, private and super clean!! Highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay near Fairplay. Loved calling this home for a week.

An absolute gem. Beautiful 360 degree views with all the comforts of home. Perfect spot to relax and rejuvenate after a big day hiking, biking, or paddling the Arkansas River. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Due to low competition and a decent price point compared to competition this place does well. I would rate it 3-4 stars based on just the mere location. The rating goes to 4-5 with the view you don’t get in Denver and the hot tub. Negatives- right off the highway so your heart rate goes up entering and leaving. There’s no shampoo just some cheap dollar store soap which I guess you can use for shampoo. Up to you.. bring your own if you want. Not really a tranquille mountain getaway as there’s a cabin infront of your nice Mountain View(not shown in the photos) and the sound of the highway outside. Positives- Hot tub with nice Mountain View’s, which make you forget about the highway noise and hopefully you fill it with good conversation with whoever you’re with. The prairie dogs scurrying around out back are cute. Conclusion- I have to say the hot tub saved it. Keep the hot tub maintained and people will be happy.

I, my wife and daughter's stay at the cabin was excellent. It was a beautiful place, and everything you need is there. The kitchen is well-equipped, everything is very clean, and we loved the Jacuzzi as well. We would definitely come back.

Stayed here with 6 people total and everyone was very comfortable. Tara provided helpful instructions and was always responsive to any questions I had. The property requires a gate code and has very little traffic once off the main road. Kitchen was spacious and the loft bedroom upstairs was super cool. We got snowed on pretty good our first night so we were very glad to be able to use the fireplace at the home! The place was very clean and couldn’t have been happier with our stay.

This cabin is wonderful!!! It was cozy and clean. Everything you need is provided. I look forward to renting here again if we are in the area.

2nd visit here. Wonderful place to unplug! Beware: door handle will open from inside while it is locked - I did manage to lock myself out! Thank God I had my truck keys in my hand or I would’ve been sunk. Once I got down to Pitkin, Tony was quick to help me out with a spare key at 10:00pm in the middle of nowhere! I slept really great that night knowing I could’ve been sleeping in my truck! I would recommend Tony hiding a key somewhere or switching to a keypad lock (or even a lock that won’t let you open the door from the inside while it’s locked). Great stay in spite of a nerve-wrecking drive down to Pitkin one evening hoping I could reach Tony. Thankfully it all worked out. Also - FYI - the drive from the Pitkin side is not as rocky as the drive from Tincup. Definitely recommend going up from Pitkin if you can.

Our whole group (8 total) really enjoyed our "girls weekend" here. We were all blown away by the view through the huge living room windows when we first came in the back door. The place was also bigger than we expected, which was a great surprise. The house had everything we needed for a big home cooked dinner, good night's sleep, and a movie night. We also loved the deck for happy hour drinks and star viewing at night. I really appreciated how quiet of an area it is. I highly recommend this home for anyone willing to be outside of town/a 20 minute drive to Buena Vista.

LOVED this airbnb, one of the best I've stayed at. Perfect for 2 families with young kids. Wonderful outdoor kids play area, parents hanging out on the deck, really nice indoor hang out areas, and beautiful hiking just 5 minutes away. I think it's really likely we will stay here again. Oh, and the beds were comfortable, (good, new mattresses) which is SO important.

We stayed here for our wedding, and we could not be happier with our stay. We had everything we needed, and it was a nice, quiet place to get away. A bit far from stores and restaurants, but we were prepared and loved to cook at the house. Scenery was beautiful, I loved waking up to the mountain sunrise every morning. Thanks for such a beautiful home for our stay!’

I can’t say enough good things about my stay. The place may be small but it’s perfect for a solo traveler, and the attention to detail made it feel so worthwhile. Everything is thoughtfully cleaned and all basic needs provided for, and then some. Bettina is a great host and very responsive. Twin Lakes is a dream I’m already wishing I’d stayed longer.

Beautiful cabin with even more beautiful views. Lots of room. I visited with my fiancé, our two daughters, and my mom. We had an amazing few days in the mountains. David was super informative ahead of time and was responsive/easy to reach. The deck and views alone make this place worth it. Definitely recommend!

My family stayed at the cabin for Christmas and loved our time there. Getting there was easy because of the clear directions provided. We maxed out the capacity between adults, a 1 year old and 2 dogs but the lofted master and open 3rd floor loft weren’t an issue since we were all awake at the same time. The main floor was perfect - we cooked all our meals there, ate together at the dining table and all hung out comfortably in the living room, they even had a tree & garland up for the holidays which was nice. A few things to note if planning to cook, the dishwasher is in rough shape and doesn’t clean all the way so we had to hand wash dishes when we arrived as well as throughout the stay. The freezer doesn’t quite stay cold so we had ice cream & ice cubes that melted. Overall it was a beautiful area and communication with Barb & David was great, they were so responsive before, during & after. We’re so happy we chose to stay here & made such fun memories as a family.

This was one of the best AirBandB experiences. Everything was very easy to find and they had everything you would ever want- for both kids and adults. The beds were all very comfortable and the location is absolutely perfect. Thank you for an amazing weekend. We will definitely be back 🥰

My sibings and I, three of us ranging in age between 76 and 82, spend three nights at Julian's Hacienda BV, in mid June 2025. This 3 bedroom house has a spacious kitchen with a pub level table just steps from the stove, for in kitchen meals, seating 6. The living room couch and TV are close to the kitchen, making it possible to cook, eat, and converse while keeping an eye on the programming, if desired. We really should have spent more time on the patio, but it was only 10 minutes into town, and only 15 minutes to Cottonwood Hot Springs. Cottonwood is a very rustic, friendly, informal place to enjoy the mineral waters ... definitely not your high end Hilton environment, but clean and unique. Near Cottonwood, we toured the new hot springs called Charlotte's. This facility opened in 2024, and features a gigantic greenhouse, with a waterfall, and resident parrots and iguana. Traversing the greenhouse, one finds three beautiful, concrete pools that could easily accommodate 8 or more

Beautiful place to spend the night, had a great time, would love to go back for a night or two in the summer!

My sister and I had a wonderful experience with Doug and felt right at home at his little rustic cabin nestled in an Aspen grove by the creek. The surrounding area is beautiful and Doug was very helpful with local recommendations. Bonus points for helping us load the car after I came down with appendicitis on our last day and had to have an appendectomy, which limited my lifting capabilities. Thanks, Doug! We’ll definitely look at coming back soon! And hopefully I’ll not lose another organ while I’m there! :-)

Wonderful place, beautiful scenery, got to see deer walking in the backyard, that wasn’t expected but wonderful to see. Will definitely stay there again when we visit Buena Vista. Well worth what paid to stay.

We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Arthur is a proactive, responsive, and pleasant host. I highly recommend staying here.

If you want privacy and amazing view the second you walk out of the cabin, consider booking cabin 10! It was facing the opposite direction from other cabins and it was directly facing the mountains , also giving you a feeling of seclusion and intimacy. I wish cabin had its own restroom so you don’t have to use the shared ones , BUT , I have to admit , that restrooms are the cleanest one I’ve ever came across when camping. Also their recreation area is great for a game of pool , darts, it has huge TV , fireplace , microwaves , and everything you need to reheat your leftovers. They also have a small store right where the office is and to my surprise it’s fairly priced compared to other places I stayed at . We loved BV overlook and would definitely go back there in the future . Close to town , restaurants and other cool things that you should explore while there !
