Fantastic view of Gaustatoppen. The unique thing about this cabin is that it is not located in a cabin area, there is nature and tranquility and birds singing as the closest neighbors. The cross-country trails start right at the parking lot, and from there it is about 300 meters to the alpine facility. Note: It is a distance to walk from the parking lot up to the cabin, 150 meters in the summer/250 meters in the winter, it is steep the first part, so it does NOT fit if you have bad legs. Approx. 1.5 km to Gaustablikk mountain hotel.

It is a short distance to the mountain, Tinnsjøen, bike rides and hikes in the nearby area. During summertime you can swim and fish in the river just below. The tourist commune offers varied experiences and activities for everyone.

The cabin is 6 kilometers from Mæl ferry rental in the direction of Atrå. It is 17 kilometres to Rjukan, 25 kilometres to Gaustatoppen mountain and beautiful mountain areas. Nice view to Tinnsjøen and Austbygda. There is no running water in the cabin, but there is electric power and wood firing. Firewood is included in the price. Water is collected from the host.
